There's an older kid side as well as a younger kid side and we've explored both while here. The couple of times we've visited during the daytime, it's never too crowded, which I like. We came for an evening play date once and there were certainly a lot more people, but my son still got to get on what he wanted without a wait. The park also has nice sand volleyball courts, basketball courts a small running trail and a nice sized little fishing pond. One of the best things is that the bathrooms are located in the center of everything so there's easy access and they are typically pretty clean as far as park bathrooms go. Definitely one of my favorites !

There are multiple activities to do at this park for a fun experience. They offer a children's playground with slides and swings as well as a playground for the smaller kids. They also have tennis courts and a sand volleyball court too!. There is a small fishing pond here with a pier where you can try your luck and cast your line. There are multiple pavilllions with BBQ grills scattered all throughout the park. In the park, they have a small skatepark where you can practice your latest tricks on your skateboard or roller blades. There is also a splash pad here too that is open to the public during the summer months. They provide a parking lot here with ample parking, so parking should never be an issue. This is a great park to get outside and get some vitamin D, whether you're taking a walk or just letting the kids get loose. When planning a birthday party here, reservations are not required, but is a first come, first serve basis. They have a bulletin board here where you can check out the latest events the city has planned for upcoming events and any questions or concerns you may have with Mansfield City Parks.

I haven't been over to the waterpark side of things yet, so I can only tell you about the side with the playground, swings, windy-walking path, and fields. It's nestled amongst residential streets and really feels very private despite being bordered by a nearby apartment complex. There's pretty good shade, too. The parking lot closest to the playground is tiny, but there are more spots near the waterpark which is only a short walk away. It might be helpful to note that there is limited seating. Maybe consider a picnic blanket if you're wanting to hang out awhile.

But we went to Howard Moore because she is almost 4 and the deepest this play pool goes to is 1.5 ft. So she got in free with her Swim Pass and I was only charged $2.50! I felt comfortable watching her from the side bc the lifeguards there actually do their jobs! Multiple times I saw the teenagers on duty remind kids to go up the slide using the steps, not crawling back up the tunnel, and to go down feet first after a small boy slid down head-first into a foot of water and struggled to stand up. Cheers to you, lifeguards! Because this pool is so perfect for younger kids, we shared it with 2-3 daycares during our first hour there, each with 8-12 kids, some big, some small. The lady sitting next to me gathered her 3 kids shortly after an older group arrived and explained to her son that, "It's time to go because your little sister got trampled 3 times in the last 5 mins." So be warned. Also their bathrooms are about what you'd expect from park bathrooms (dingy but useable) and the water was extremely cold. Nevertheless, it's a hidden haven of fun for a nominal fee. This first experience with the city's play pool gives me hope for all the others!

The playground isn't large but is standard and has everything you'd expect to see (slide, swings, etc) There is a covered area with a space for what I presume is a concession stand. The playground and seating area were all we used so that is what my review is based on, definitely "A-ok" and I'd visit again. We threw a birthday party here. You can rent the pavilion through the Bowles Life Center. It costs $75 but it is yours for as long as you want. We rented it from 12pm until 11pm even though we used it until about 6pm. We wanted to be sure we had enough time to set up and break down the party decorations, etc. If you want to do anything special, i.e. pony rides or a bounce house, you can request a permit for free and party on! We had pony rides for our party. It was a blast! The bathrooms are a little worn out, as are the tables, but overall this is just a cute, fun place to bring a picnic lunch and let the kids run wild! Or party!
