For the past 18 years, she has cared for our children with so much love and compassion. She is more than a pediatrician. She has been a trusted part of our family's journey through childhood, adolescence, and all the milestones in between. It's hard to put into words how grateful I am for the care she has given our family over all these years. There is such a comfort in knowing your children are in the hands of someone you completely trust, and Dr. Nguyen has been that person for us. We have referred everyone we know to her, and we will continue to do so without hesitation. If she is still practicing when the day comes, I sincerely hope my grandchildren will have the privilege of being cared for by her, too. That's how much we trust and value her. Thank you, Dr. Nguyen, for 18 incredible years of care, kindness, and love. Today feels like the end of an era, but we are leaving this chapter with so much gratitude. And yes--my Yelp review from 11 years ago definitely aged well. Turns out I knew exactly what I was talking about!

My son has been a patient at this office since birth. His first doctor was Dr. Klyman, and after…read moreshe retired, he continued with Dr. Henry. We never had issues for many years, but the service over the past couple of years has really declined. It is extremely difficult to get someone on the phone, and voicemails often go unanswered. When you do finally get through, the staff can be very rude and seem irritated when you follow up. I had a similar issue when requesting a sports clearance form. I was told it would take 5 business days, but it took about two weeks. When I finally received it by email, it wasn't stamped, so I had to go into the office to have it done. The receptionist seemed annoyed that she had to take care of it. More recently, I requested my son's immunization records for college housing. I called Monday and Tuesday and left messages with no response. I finally reached someone Friday and was told the records would be emailed that day. They never were. I called again today and was told the same thing, and the person was very rude, telling me I could just come pick them up. I specifically needed them emailed so I could forward them to the college. After being with this office since my son was born, it is very disappointing to see how much the communication and customer service have declined. I'm glad my son no longer needs to go there, and I hope I don't need anything from this office again.

She did what all the pediatricians do, and came by to check on Julian daily in the hospital following my C-section, but when she saw me with tears in my eyes, or feeling scared, she immediately turned from doctor to friend and therapist. She assured me I was doing a great job, that Julian was perfect, and that everything would be okay. During the first few weeks postpartum, Julian wasn't gaining weight, and so we were in the office often, checking on his progress. Dr. Chan was went above and beyond helping me. After our checkups, she would ask me, "but how are YOU," which would cause me to break down every time in tears. I wasn't okay. But she took the time out, to really look me in my eyes and tell me I was the best mom for Julian and I was doing a great job. I looked forward to our chats when I would bring my son in for shots or checkups, as she was one of my only support system members and one of my biggest cheerleaders. I actually cried (and so did Julian) when we had to move! My cousin was debating on whether to be a pediatrician or an ER doctor. I told her about my relationship with Dr. Chan, how she was there for me when I really needed someone to tell me, "You're doing great and you're a good mom." I told her how she made a real difference in my life the first few months post-partum, and that she (my cousin) should know that perhaps being a pediatrician isn't all baby giggles and shots, but helping women discover the confidence to be good mom. Dr. Chan told me stories about her own journey as a new mom, and made me feel like more than a patient's parent. She made me feel like a friend. Julian and I truly miss her. She is an amazing pediatrician and I'm not sure you will find a better doctor, with a better bedside manner for you or your child, in the South Bay.

The office said the manager said it was okay to still come in. So we did we ran inside. Get there the nurse says room one and undress her to weigh her. Then dr Guterriez comes in and she's like sorry we need to reschedule or make this a 10min appointment or less because she has "more" important patients. I literally just stayed quiet and just let my partner do the taking. Btw my daughter was naked already ready to be weighed as they told us. Then we had to lay her back down not even weighed and get her dressed. They could of told me on the phone to reschedule! She didn't have to be rude and say there are more important patients were coming soon. I got to the car honestly sad this happened and began calling other pediatricians. I wanted a doctor to grow with my daughter and unfortunately this is not our match. Good luck if you go here!!! Also I recommend scheduling Wednesday's there's a better amazing doctor that day, we just can't do Wednesday's because of our work schedules. Good luck!

Unfortunately, she retired this week without much notice. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is for the way her retirement was handled. This has been extremely difficult for my child as he needs daily medication and will now have to go without until we can get in to see a new doctor.

I was nervous at first but he definitely made me feel comfortable and seen. As a FTM and choosing to breastfeed, but being an under suppler; he gave suggestions to help boost my supply. Because my baby was underweight, he suggested combo feeding adding formula while I boost my supply to make sure my baby is eating enough. Honestly I was very insecure about being an under suppler and I felt like I was an inadequate mother because I couldn't provide for my baby. But he reassured me and understood how I was feeling and made me feel seen. As someone going through postpartum, he made me feel better about something out of my control. On top of that, he was a wonderful pediatrician to my son. He gave me an ample amount of formula samples and even a diaper bag to help me. He made me feel comfortable about combo feeding while breastfeeding and choosing whether to continue whichever method of feeding for my child. As long as my baby is being fed is the most important thing. Unfortunately the new insurance I got for my son does not cover this office or Dr. Berman, I would've love to have kept him. But I really cannot recommend him enough.

The receptionist was incredibly rude to us- she gave my wife a dirty look when she said she was late because she had a C section, then told her that the doctor cannot see us and that we could wait 45 minutes in one of the rooms until the doctor is ready to see us. My wife left the office in tears and we will not be returning. It is clear that the office does not have a proper scheduling system to prioritize newborn babies and that the only thing that matters to the office is MONEY! You are just a paycheck to them. Also, the office looks like a highly infectious environment- it looks more like a daycare facility than a doctors office. This is why we chose not to hang around while sick kids ran around in the waiting area. This is very sad to see a pediatrician treat newborn babies like another line on their spreadsheet. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
