After letting him know my concerns all I was told by Dr. Tobin was "it's normal it will take about a year"! It has been a year and no change! When I went for my first follow-up after surgery and told him I was not happy with the results. The only thing I was told was "well I can remove them if you are not happy"! Not a single follow up appointment was scheduled, the only way I got a follow up appointment was if I called and scheduled it myself! Needless to say I would not recommend !!!

He has broken boundaries in medicine and surgery and continues to do so. But he is even more than all these. He is a great husband and father. He is an amazing boss, his staff of decades have been with him, not just as employees but as family. They all protect him and love him because more than anything just like me they RESPECT him. I spent two years with this man as a surgical student ( fellow), learning from him and trying to absorb as much knowledge as I can. I was only required to stay for one year, but I was greedy as I knew that this was a once in a life time time opportunity. To this day his knowledge and my respect for him intimidates me. I still hear his voice and advise every time I walk in my operating room to perform surgery. Even more than the details of surgical skills, he engraved in my brain The Surgical Principles. Commandments to run my surgical career by. He made me understand how to be a good honest doctor as a cosmetic surgeon. How to take care of my patients as family and most importantly how to keep my patients SAFE. Dr. Tobin is a constant learner. He does not waste a single second of his life. If he is not operating, then he is writing blogs and articles, listening to books or writing books then he is running, or riding his motorcycle or flying his plane. ( Yes , he is a pilot also, an actual plane, I am not kidding, I travelled with him the two years I was with him as he does consolations at multiple locations in Texas). I felt safe on that plane, well firstly he maintains it so well, but also because Dr. Tobin exudes confidence and makes people feel safe. He used to be a scuba diver, but he also did under water photography. He recorded surgical cases as part of teaching seminars for other surgeons to learn from. But he just didn't do the surgery. He was involved in post recording production, sound editing,.....You see, he just doesn't do things, he does them well and completely. Sometimes he can do several things at once!!! Even though I have not seen him or been to his practice for 8 years, there is not a week that goes by that I don't tell some of his patients about him. Dr. Tobin is still my idol, he can do it all. A lot of surgeons think they can, but trust me not the way Dr. Tobin does. He has trained so many surgeons and I hope as I they also carry a piece of him with them every time they pick up the scalpel to perform surgery. I have never told him any of these and I am sure he is not going to see this. However, if any of his patients ever read this, trust every word that comes from him. Dr. Lewis himself is very knowledgeable and friendly. To answer some of the comments made in the previous Yelp: yes, in comparison to larger cities - their profile is a lot smaller. I have had approximately 8 appointments and only once I had to wait 40 minutes to see the Doctor. As with any other practice, sometimes a Doctor falls behind on schedule. The reason I chose Dr. Lewis was not due to his extensive cases, Snapchat videos, or fancy social media (he doesn't have any of that). I chose Dr. Lewis because when I went for my initial consult he didn't "sell" me a treatment option. He educated me, told me how every option would affect me then let me make the decision myself. He has always made himself available (even after hours) and he cares about the quality of his work. I would recommend Dr. Lewis's services and I would never hesitate to go back to him. I would also recommend that you (as the person inquiring about services) would speak to more than one Dr. and go with the one you find yourself more comfortable with. My daughter was referred by her pediatrician as she was needing a prescription for eye glasses…read more When we arrived for our morning appointment, I observed a lot of children and adults sitting in the small waiting area. After about 30 minutes of waiting I began asking patients around me, how long they had been waiting. Some had waited over an hour and I realized that the office was scheduling patients within 5-10 minutes of one another. I quickly realized that the patients were being shuffled out fairly quick after waiting for so long to be seen. After an hour and 8 minutes, the assistance called us back to the waiting area. She was very nice and made my 11 year old daughter feel comfortable. She was very thorough and explained what she was going to do. The assistant sent us to waiting in the sitting area for another 15 minutes after she dilated my daughter's eyes. Dr. Akor called us in to her examining room. She was not pleasant at all and quickly asked my daughter what had been going on with her. My daughter told her that she would sometimes get headaches at school because she was struggling to read and see the board in the classroom. Dr. Akor attempted to use only one set of lenses to adjust my daughter's eyesight. My daughter's vision was still blurry. After she used one set, she turned the lights back on said, "something doesn't' seem right". She turned around in her seat with her back to us and began writing in her notes and telling me that she was going to order an MRI if my daughter's brain. She did not explain anything, other than I would be notified by phone to make the appointment. I was shocked and asked her why she felt that my daughter needed an MRI of her brain and all she could say as she was getting up to leave the office was that, "something isn't right... she shouldn't be getting headaches". I explained that my daughter gets headaches only after school as she doesn't not complain on the weekends or in the evenings. Dr. Akor was shaking her head back and forth and said, "The headaches should not be occurring". My daughter began getting visibly upset and crying because she hears something about how something isn't right with her brain. My daughter began to cry and Dr. Akor stood at the door and told us that her office would contact us in two weeks to go over the MRI results and she would conduct another eye exam. Long story short, my daughter never needed an MRI of her brain. After discussing with her pediatrician, he was in agreement that the MRI was not necessary. Dr. Akor spent less than 4 minutes with my daughter and we were being shuffled out like cattle. I was very disappointed as I have always had positive interactions with medical professionals and specialists in Abilene. I'm not sure if she scheduled too many patients that morning and was feeling frustrated, but I will never ever go back!

I am not sure how this place has so many good reviews on other sites. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because Blanca was very nice and helpful even though my appointment was not with her.

I don't like false promises. Then the final straw was her telling me she couldn't schedule my third appointment due to believing the spa would close due to Covid precautions. This was the week of thanksgiving. Salons were never closed and she never contacted me again! I contacted her a MONTH later to ask what the issue was and she pretended she had no idea what I was talking about. She has done nothing but give me the run around and after all this she won't give me a refund due to her "no refund" policy. That would make since if the services I paid for had been rendered in a timely, professional manner.
