I am writing to formally address the unacceptable conduct we experienced during a recent…read moreinteraction with your office management at Abilene Eye Institute. My daughter contacted your practice to express valid concerns regarding unprofessional behavior, specifically relating to groundless accusations of theft directed at us by your staff. Instead of addressing these serious allegations in a professional manner, the office manager chose to escalate the situation significantly. During this conversation, the manager made a highly inappropriate and discriminatory remark regarding my daughter's son being half-black. Bringing a child's race into a professional dispute is not only irrelevant but deeply offensive and speaks to a severe lack of character and leadership within your management team. This experience has left us feeling targeted, disrespected, and completely unwelcome at your practice. I believe it is vital for patients to feel safe and treated with dignity, and based on this interaction, that standard is clearly not being met. I hope this serves as documentation of the hostile environment being fostered by your current management staff.

After emergency surgery at another location at 2am we were sent home with orders to follow up at Dr. PATEL'S office the following morning. When we arrived at the office the waiting room was busy. We were escorted directly to the back so my husband wouldn't be exposed to germs anymore than neccessary. Dr.. Patel explained every option to us making sure we understood that if we were up for the fight they would do everything possible to save not only the eye but the vision as well. We are currently 18months into the process and Dr. Patel has been great the whole time. We will have 2more surgery to hopefully totally restore vision and I couldn't ask for a better Dr. To be there with us along the way. The nurses and office staff are excellent as well.
