The store was large and contained the usual departments: fruits, vegetables, pantry items, meats, seafoods, dairy products, beverages, snacks, prepared foods, baked goods, pet supplies, flowers, gift cards, etcetera. The store also had a pharmacy. During our checkout, the cashier interacted nicely with us. The prices were average. We like to use Giant Eagle's rewards program to earn perks on future purchases.

This angered me so much and it's not the first time it's happened many times, that I am shopping somewhere else! For an active employee to refuse to slice a paying customer lunchmeat is ridiculous!!! I will never shop here again!! From the antiquated robophone voice, to the fact that when you press three for the pharmacy it only rings five times before sending you back to the beginning of the phone tree, to the occasional answer without saying anything and hanging up, everything about their phone game is terrible. If you physically go there, the pharmacy staff is friendly and personable (which is why they get two stars and not one), but why should I have to drive there and wait in line for a thirty second conversation that could happen over the phone? And if you're wondering why I'm not using their app, it's because their app is as antiquated as their phone system. Seriously, they need a new CTO and a plan for updating their systems to be on par with competitors. If they weren't the best price for my medication I would never go here as there are better pharmacies out there. If you can, avoid this store.

When my husband went to pick up his prescription the pharmacist caught that the prescription the doctor called in was something my husband was highly allergic to. The pharmacist caught this online through my husband's online account. This same account the doctor should have seen. If the pharmacist wouldn't have caught this my husband could have had a bad outcome. So thank you for the pharmacist who caught this! The doctor should have seen this online as well! It's nice to know there are thorough pharmacists who pay attention! As this doctor should have caught! All online medication records are available to these doctors! They need to pay closer attention! You tell her something and it goes in one ear and out the next. This makes a very frustrating customer experience. She is not a people person and should probably not be dealing with the public. The other thing I get from her if your on public assistance your beneath her dealing with you. Its a shame because all the other staff is great and treat people so nice! I have 2 insurances and pay cash for some some of my scripts because they don't get covered and I still get treated this way by her!
