She's always so nice and my cleaning was comfortable, pain free and thorough, followed by a gentle exam by Dr. Nieca, who is amazing! I made my next appointment and I was out the door. She has little to no charisma and a handshake that I imagine feels like putting your hand in a tightened clamp, however, none of that matters if she is a skilled and sensitive practitioner... Dr Barnes is neither. My first visit with her was an interesting experience to say the least. I left there soaking wet... literally, I had a wet bra that could be wrung out and I was wearing a dental bib. Her assistant had to get a towel to keep drying my face... she said her equipment was not working properly but she made no attempt to rectify the situation or offer me another room or to finish the procedure. The worst however was her lack of willingness and empathy to deal with a documented disability. The previous dentists of the practice... Dr Rod and Dr Pyser were wonderful and I certainly miss them terribly... in over 30 years I never had one bad experience or with the other specialist they referred me to. They always accomadated the few special needs I had. Dr Barnes has one way of doing things... her way. I am no longer a patient of Berkshire Dental Arts because while sitting in her chair, bib on, and a numb lip... she said she could not continue to treat me... she did not call me into her office, she did not ask my thoughts or opinion... she just walked out leaving me in a chair and did not finish the 5the appointment of 5. I would not recommend her to anyone... she is the most unprofessional dentist I have ever had and I'm 63 years old.

best dentist i've seen (anne e. barnes dmd) . she takes her time, ensures all questions are…read moreanswered and performs a thorough review of ones dental history. she's kind, she cares about what she's doing and doesn't rush procedures. dentists have always caused me some level of anxiety, however i feel barnes dmd, allays that discomfort with her calm demeanor and attentive and sensitive approach. highly recommend.

I recently stopped going because I can no longer tolerate one his staff member. This person is superficial-behaves as if she's doing YOU a favor. It's unfortunate because I truly have enjoyed going to Dr. Gotterer, Mary, Jen, and Heidi.
