This is only the second review but it appears the first review is actually for the wrong salon…read more That reviewer is reviewing Salon 3:16 and not Studio Five. Studio Five is great. Most of the staff has worked together in other salons before calling this place home. Angela is great and cuts both mine and my husband's hair. Sherrie cuts our kid's hair. The other stylists keep full chairs too. They are well informed about their techniques and the products they use and sell. They pay attention to what you ask for, give feedback if your goal is unrealistic or not quite suitable for your hair type/maintenance goals and they are happy to "fix" or adjust their cut or color in the rare event that it is not quite what you expected. My family has used one or more of these stylists for over ten years and various hair styles.

She did nothing to cut to my curl pattern at all and scoffed when I asked her to use thinning shears behind my ears. When it was dry and still WAY too bulky, she just started whacking away with scissors. I didn't complain at the time because I know that sometimes a curly cut needs time to settle, but it's just gone from bad to worse and she cut it too short to even get it fixed so I'm stuck.

My first visit with Sherry was very relaxing and nice and I liked that I had made an appointment…read morefor one service and she told me that was not what I needed. That service was much more expensive than the one she suggested, so immediately I knew she wasn't just about the money! I have very oily skin and the first treatment didn't do so well for me. Sherry reached out and asked how everything was going and I expressed my issues and she asked me to come back in for a free 30 min session to give her a chance to correct my issues. She did and so far it seems to be working, she has put me on a treatment plan and I am going to schedule this so that I can continue to see progress with my oily skin. She was very professional and was very knowledgeable! I would recommend her and I will definitely be completing my treatment plan. Thank you Sherry!

I was so disgusted when I got back home, I pulled out my scissors and cut off 2" in the front myself. I just made yet another appointment with a different hair salon for someone to create volume on top of my head. This time I won't leave until I get the haircut I keep asking for. I remember going to Hair Shack when I was a kid, but have since moved around a lot since and had my…read morehair done in many different cities all over the world. I'd been struggling to find a decent hairdresser in Berlin that didn't cost a fortune so I made an appointment when I came home to see my mother. My hair was in horrible condition from trying different horrible salons and finally giving up and trying to dye my hair myself. I really appreciated the honesty from Wendy and her suggestions for what I could do with it without completely destroying it with bleach. I left happy and with much better looking hair. Corrective color is not cheap, but I don't want someone doing a cheap job on my hair again. The cost was reasonable and much cheaper than I paid for professional color in other US and European cities. I'll make an appointment every time I come home to see my family now.

I decided to make Saturday a full on spa day including a MicroDerm/Light Therapy Facial, Mani,…read morePedi, and Lash Extensions. If you're a person on the go then this is the spa for you! The best part is I got all these services in just over 2 hours! Let me break it down for you. While I got my lashes done by Monika, who did an excellent job and was very attentive to my comfort and relaxation, Kira did my manicure! How you ask? On top of having free-standing nail stations/room they can also perform nail services while you're receiving any facial treatment. I've never had this done before, but it was relaxing and a fantastic use of my minimal me-time. The manicure is clean and neat and my hands feel great. Being a guy i just wanted fuller looking lashes ( i wish i was Mediterranean, lol) and Monika did a great job of giving me exactly what I wanted: fuller and darker but still really natural. After that I went to have my facial done by the namesake, Eva herself. It's the first time I've had a facial on a chair/table conversion but it helped facilitate my pedicure at the same time of my MicroDerm facial. It's a little weird at first not being draped in a blanket on a treatment table but Eva came in and reclined me and covered me up while Kira came in after my feet had a chance to soak. Pedicure was just as good as the manicure and the facial was great. My skin feels fantastic thanks to the MicroDerm and LED light therapy. Eva was very knowledgeable about the services and had a wonderful touch, not too light but not overly aggressive like some estheticians i've had before. Overall it's a great place for a great experience. The prices are pretty on par for a high end spa service but you definitely get what you pay for. I would totally recommend this place for anyone wanting great nail and facial services (especially lashes) especially if you're short on time and on the go.
