Supposedly, there are 11 windmills peppered throughout the Hamptons, and I saw 3 of them. Now that I'm home and was trying to match my photos with the windmill names, that's when I learned that more than 3 windmills exist, so I'll have to hunt them down next time I'm in the Hamptons. I don't discriminate against any gallery or gallery operator due to size or breadth of their collection. However I do place significant importance on professionalism and client interaction. The gallery itself is unimpressive, with a collection that tells me it's owner isn't well versed in anything except a very narrow genre of art. The interactions I had there were disappointing, and I was left with the feeling that the operation itself is something that happens out of the proprietor's back pocket. Not confidence inducing, at all. If you are looking to make a purchase, whether a home collector or broker, you'd be better served to look elsewhere. There are plenty of other galleries that are on the up and up.
