The price for trees was more expensive than most other places, but I don't mind supporting small, local businesses. I do expect good service however, and I did not find it here. We also ended up getting charged a bit more than the labeled price. On the bright side our tree looks great and I was able to eat my frustrations away at Mo Bettah across the street. I'm no expert on Christmas tree shopping but I'm pretty sure I could have had more of an enjoyable experience elsewhere.

Prices were reasonable, and the fee to pack up the tree was only $3.00 for a 6' tree. All the employees were extremely friendly and answered any questions we had about the trees. It's true that you might find a better price elsewhere, but if it's tough to venture far out and you want to pick up a tree in the area, Frederico's is the way to go

I decided to make it easy and do that again this year because it was such a great experience. I went to a different lot but they didn't have sufficient staff on hand to get the trees off the lot for people when I was there, so I hopped back in my car and googled the next closest place, which ended up being Frederico's lot on State Street. There were a ton of staff available to help all the customers looking around. They offered four different varieties of trees in a range of sizes, all clearly marked with height, type, and price. There was no rush to pick a tree, but everyone was willing to answer questions, and once I picked my tree, they were extremely quick to dismount it from the metal tree holder and load it onto the top of my car while I paid. The owner himself was my cashier, and as we were talking I learned that this is the 29th year they've been open, and they had moved from a previous location back to THIS location, which had been the original spot he opened up. AND it turns out Frederico was where I had such a great experience last year, too! Their selection, pricing, and customer service were all much better than the other place I stopped by first, so I'm very glad I ended up tracking down Frederico again and will make sure I just head straight there next year. (They have two locations this year.)

The second time I came just for the coffee shop and the girls working weren't really attentive when I first came in. Thousands of dollars now spent at Glovers each year due to my recommendation. Today I called to special order some flats of Lamium in the flower color I needed. They said they had 2 flats of the color I wanted in stock, so I went. I was genuinely shocked to find that the stock they referred me to was mostly or partially dead. How unprofessional is that to bring me out there for sickly product instead of letting me order something healthy? I only found four 4packs that didn't look dead or sick. When I went to check out I felt like I should pass along my experience to someone in charge. I requested a 50% discount on the only decent purple 4 packs I could find to offset my inconvenience of time and gas for making the trip based on what I was told they had. That was too demanding of a request by the logic of the manager. Told him I spend way too much money there to be treated like my years of loyalty don't matter. The manager pulled up my account and scoffed at the thousands I've spent, telling me that others spend more. Is this where we're at with Glovers? Are we only respecting the patronage of billionaires now? I told him I felt insulted by that, but he wearing his fighter hat and not his customer service hat, and literally told me he has no problem with the dead stock out there because people still buy them. Just wow. I feel like I'd be compromising my basic self-respect if I ever showed my face there ever again, so congratulations Glovers: you just lost a regular annual customer who was happy to spend thousands every single year (apparently an underwhelming dollar amount, as your manager says) because you could not admit a clear communication error, or discount a *teeny tiny* purchase as a gesture that you value me as a customer. Everything was riding on principle today. #FAIL. PS: I adore the cashier with long braids, and I've found every cashier to be nice and pleasant. I also have gratitude for the workers who have happily given the plants in my cart fresh water to ensure they didn't dry out while I shopped. Sad how one guy in charge with a chip on his shoulder can undo all those years of patronage.
