After having an unsuccessful time trying to find a restaurant to accept our large party, we decided take out pizza was the way to go. We called asking how far ahead should we put in our large order and could we have substitutions on some of the items. I spoke to a wonderful lady who was pleasant, professional and very helpful. Two groups put in our orders and everything was hot and ready on time. There was a good amount of tasty cheese and toppings and the pizzas were cooked nicely. The only thing that was a bit annoying is that the toppings placement, left too much crust without anything on it. Other than that we enjoyed it very much. read more

My car group came to the area to do some leaf-peeping and walked by Eres on our way to breakfast and took note of the menu. When dinner time came we all agreed to give Eres a try. They sat all seven of us right away (at a table big enough) and we had a mix of pizzas as well as the chicken piccata and it was all excellent. Highly recommend this to folks who want GOOD pizza. read more

FILTHY, UNFRIENDLY, I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! We came here hoping to have a pizza whilst enjoying the view of the lake. The restaurant was extremely empty so we sat next to the big window. Before the service even began I was slightly horrified with how dirty everything looked (look at the table and the windows). It was thick with dusts, grime and dead flies. My rule is, if it looks that dirty in public places imagine how dirty the kitchen is. When we noticed the dirt we decided to just have a drink and then leave. After waiting for a significant amount of time for some service. We were then told by a very rude, dismissive waitress that we can not sit on the table if we are just getting drinks (again the place was empty). And we had to go sit at the bar instead.. Which looked even more grubby. I'd understand if the place was packed but it was so quiet. Which given the service and cleanliness wasn't surprising. Of course we told them to not bother and we left. We went to a restaurant up the road and had drinks on a patio overlooking the water, which was clean, friendly and a whole lot better. read more

Here to provide some much needed photo updates of this restaurant! Came on a Thursday. It was busy but we were seated immediately. Started with the caesar salad which was fresh and cold. Next up was the penne alla vodka dish - we added chicken. Chicken was a bit squishy and possibly frozen? However, the pasta was great! I would recommend getting it without chicken. Finished with the Ere's special pizza. The crust was surprisingly great and the toppings were fresh. The cheese was a bit heavy and greasy for our liking but this seemed to be the best option in the area. Good views of the water and nice staff. read more

Love Eres! The linguine and meatballs are incredible along with the chicken picatta and pizzas! The staff are friendly and accommodating and the view is about the best in town! If you're walking along Main Street and looking for a fun, easy, no fuss meal...walk down those steps (or if you have a handicap (as does my husband) go down the ramp and have a great meal! read more

I love Eres! It's my favorite place in LP for dinner. They have an array of Italian food options and a variety of pizza. I love coming here with a group, ordering a lot of food and sharing everything. Their salad, chicken and pizza are all very fresh. They also have outdoor and balcony seating, if you have a smaller party. They also have tables that overlook the lake. I can't wait to stop back in and try more of their entrees. read more

I come here every time I'm in Lake Placid. I've only tried the pizza, so my review is just in regard to that portion of the menu. Eres pizza is consistently delicious. The crust is just the best - light and crispy. I usually get one of the specialty pizzas, and I've never been disappointed. The prices are high as others have mentioned, but this is a tourist area so I kind of think that's expected. Service has always been good, and I appreciate that I've come back time and time again and the food is consistently good. Highly recommend coming during the warmer months so you can enjoy the outdoor seating. Split a pizza or two with your friends, have a drink, and take in the view of the lake! read more

This is just another example of the atrocious food scene in Lake Placid. What the town has in natural beauty and charm it completely lacks in culinary sophistication. Knowing that the tourists are a captive audience with few options, they can serve horrendous food and stay in business. This is absolutely awful pizza, especially for the state of New York. Unimaginative red sauce sparsely blankets a decent crust, with flavorless toppings and a deplorable mystery cheese used to cut costs. It's just a dreadful experience, with only the crust saving it from a 1-star rating. read more

I don't really understand the bad reviews as this is a cute little Italian pizza place that has good views but really good pizza. We asked waitress what she likes and the chicken parm is what I went with. But to start I got mozzarella sticks which were breaded well. And the house salad with blue cheese was sooo good! I love house made dressings so it was a standout. My family for a margarita pizza super thin with large herb of basil on top. Overall really good portions and quality with a great sweeter sauce that I'll be thinking about for awhile. read more

I was impressed with Eres! The size for the price was reasonable (for a Chicagoan used to $25 pizzas). We got pepperoni, the meat, and cheese and they were all tasty. We placed an order in person to pick up an hour later and it was right on time. Great pizza for the area. read more

We were placed in a corner and ignored the entire time despite the fact there were only three other tables occupied in the restaurant. I had to ask another waiter for the check after sitting at the table for 20 minutes, done and disappointed with my food. We decided to order a pizza and the pizza was wet??? Half the pizza was soaked like a sponge and the other half was okay. Probably some of the lowest tier pizza I've ever had, and I come from Texas, so that's really saying something. It's a shame that it was so bad when the word Pizza is in the name. But who knows, the guy at the table behind us was blabbing the entire time about how good his pizza was so I guess if you love your pizza wet, this is DEFINITELY the place to eat. 5/5 stars for wet pizza. read more

Came with a party of 8 and service and food were excellent. We had called the night before to see if we needed a reservation and they said it wouldn't be necessary - sure enough, they had a large table available for us when we arrived. I had their lobster ravioli and loved it. I love "fun" pasta and liked that the ravioli was striped, but besides the appearance the ravioli and sauce were delicious. The sauce was rich but not overly heavy, and it was a filling portion but not too big to finish. They also brought complimentary fresh bread for the table. Although I didn't try any of the other dishes everyone in our party agreed that coming here was a good decision. The restaurant looks small from the outside but there's a decent amount of seating that's not really visible from the lake and they have lots of patio space. There seems to be lots of Italian in Lake Placid but I highly recommend this place for high-quality eats in a casual atmosphere! read more

We came here for a last minute family dinner and had a lovely time. Our view of the sunset over the lake was unreal and I'd recommend it for the gorgeous scenery alone! The food was great too, and it ended up being the perfect spot for a nice but casual dinner for a family with a little one and not much advanced preparation..I don't even think we had reservations, and we were able to get in on a weekend. Great experience! Walked out of the movie theater and wandered into this place for dinner. Immediately was greeted and seated by some friendly fellow. He sat us on the balcony and we were able to witness a concert that was going on in the park. Felt like we had VIP seating. I came here after my hike for lunch. The view was great, and the customer service was also good. 1/1. I got the chicken pesto personal pizza. The toppings tasted great, the chicken was cooked perfectly with good seasoning. All the toppings were well balanced. Was not the biggest fan of the bread though. It was a bit dry and tasteless. Worst food and service I've had in a long time. The view isn't worth it. Waited forever after ordering drinks and wings to start. Table that came in after us got their food well before they did. Pizzas are pricey which is fine if the fillings weren't inside 3 inches of crust. Wings were over cooked. We were told no pizza by the slice for the child in our group then saw them deliver to next table...no refills on soft drinks... check took another 5 to 10 minutes to come... never asked if we wanted to box leftovers ( moot point we did not)...there are so many great places to eat in Placid... this is not one. read more

We spent the week in Lake Placid for Spring Break, and we could not have been more happy to find this place, especially since we had our dog with us. Lisa G's feels like the kind of place you wish you had back home. We sat out on the porch with a perfect view of the water and our golden retriever happily at our feet. That alone would have been enough, but the food made sure we stayed awhile. We started with the wings. These are true buffalo wings. Not breaded, just well sauced and done right. We also ordered the cheese treat and it completely stole the show. Feta, spices, and jalapenos over fresh arugula, scooped onto toasted bread. It is one of those dishes where you keep saying just one more bite until suddenly it is gone. For dinner we tried the shrimp tacos, which have quite a reputation. As Texas people we were a little unsure about the pineapple salsa, but it works. Bright and just sweet enough. The slaw is mellow and tangy and ties everything together in a way that feels thoughtful rather than trendy. The fish and fries surprised us the most. Easily the best fish and chips we have had in years. Real haddock with a light crisp fry and a rich house made tartar sauce that does not play second fiddle. Chance said he usually only likes fish and chips for the fried part, but here he actually liked the fish itself. That tells you everything. The fries are the kind you keep reaching for long after you are full. Our teen ordered the burger and it disappeared before we could negotiate a bite. Former picky eaters do not lie. We tried the Julian cocktail, which drinks like a confident mai tai. The riesling missed the mark a bit. Next time we would go for the sauvignon blanc or the house white. The service felt like the best version of small town hospitality. Warm, easy, and full of good local recommendations. Our pup loved it. We loved it.
