eRenter continued to bill me for insurance for an apartment that we were not renting. We thought this was for my new apartment, but it turns out my wife was paying rent on her credit card for that also. This was while another renter in our old apartment was *also* paying for insurance on the same apartment. When we discovered this after more than two years of illegal billing, eRenter refused to refund us our two years of payments. "We bill you without providing services until you notice and tell us to stop. Then we won't refund you." This is effectively this company's business practice, and this is illegal. We should have checked and coordinated our bills more closely, but we are very busy and work all day, seven days per week. We have two children; I am a PhD student; my wife is working on her second degree; and we both have part-time jobs. And we overlooked an error. We will be filing in a small claims court and taking further legal action. We strongly encourage other people and property owners to seek alternative renter's insurance for their apartments to avoid illegal charges and other difficulties with this company. read more

I gave them 5 stars because both times I needed them the service worked great. A couple of years ago I had a model / customer rob me for a camera and bunch of equipment out of my studio. Filed a claim and got my expensive camera, lens, flash and CF cards replaced just like new. Most recently I lost my job. They paid my rent for two months until I started new job and got a couple paychecks under my belt. Now, I will ALWAYS maintain renters insurance why would I ever want to cancel? I have also not received any SPAM as a result of giving erenterplan my email address so not sure what people are complaining about there. Overall, this insurance has been great for me both times I needed it, it worked as planned. I have now had it for 5 plus years so I guess in the long run they will make their money back on me, but it is great to be able to go on vacation and not have to worry about the safety of my possessions at home. read more

This is an update from exactly 6 months ago. I tried calling, tried everything to get in touch with this company, which is impossible. Their calling system is set up for you to wait, wait, wait, then the system hangs up, you call back and wait wait wait, then it hangs up. So I sent them a letter to cancel. To ensure this SCAM company would NEVER be able to charge my bank account I had to CLOSE the account and start a new bank account. I did this 6 months ago. And guess what, I get an email from my bank saying... ---------------------------------------- We were unable to complete the request from ERenterplan AMIG to withdraw money: Amount: $128.76 From: XXXXXXXXXX Submitted On: 03/19/2019 The account associated with this request is closed. --------------------------------------- THANK YOU GOD!!!!!! THESE SCAM ARTISTS WERE BLOCKED FROM SCAMMING ME OUT OF MORE MONEY. DONE with this... read more

I only signed up with these folks because the apartment complex I was renting from, Washington Way Apartments, required it. I don't know how they are at paying out if you ever have a claim, but they are terrible when it comes to cancellation. I tried online and the system wouldn't recognize my policy number, etc. I tried calling in and the agent started asking for one piece of ID after another and when I started asking why he needed so much information just cancel he got threatening. I asked for his name, and since he kept making a big deal of the fact he was a licensed agent who had to be fingerprinted, his license number - of course he didn't want to give out his data to "a deranged" person. I finally hung up on him and sent a cancellation email, so I still don't know if I'm effectively cancelled or not. Be VERY careful with these guys. read more

I hope I can get them 0 start. I have been paying them almost 2 years and now some one robbed me take my jewelries take my car key and police find the car in the bushes all crashed. I can't stop crying I feel like I lost everything I have, and I call the erentersplan and what they tald is me your Coverage is cancelled couple days ago because of your card was expired. They don't give you a call or email just a usps mail I didn't even receive on time. And she try to argue with me on the phone. This is very bad low quality company. You can at least call your clients been with you over a year. Just go to geico better price better business. Don't waist your money. SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH read more

A few months ago, my bicycle was stolen from apartment's garage. It was awful, I loved to ride my almost new bike. But now I'm going to buy the new one, because eRenter works really well. I called them, explained the situation, gave them Police report number and that's it! In 2 days I got a check for my bike! It really works great! Thanks eRenter!!! Well done! ...and also I want to add, that if you don't speak English well - don't worry, eRenter have online interpreters! It's very convenient. I used it because it's difficult for me to speak fluently because I'm just learning English, it's not my native language. I highly recommend this company! read more

eRenterPlan has been a time and money saver for our company and in our industry (temporary lodging), this means a great deal. Their team is on the spot with responding same day and we have our insurance certificates within 24 hours. They even take care of notifying the properties and providing them with their copies. Our standard length of stay is 90 days and to add and deduct up to 100 units per quarter to our standard liability policy was cumbersome and never accurate. We now can cost the exact amount of insurance cost into each unit improving our bottom line. I highly recommend their services! read more

My apartment complex required renters insurance, but they recommended erenterplan. I am glad they did because it was quick and easy to sign up and have had no issues. Grant it, I have yet to file a claim luckily, but when I added pet insurance, it was easy to add a service. Customer service representative was real helpful. Only minor recommendation would be make it a quicker way to add a service. It took longer to add a service then the initial sign up. I was already enrolled so one would think an add on would be quicker. Overall, definitely recommend. read more

My apartment community requires renters insurance. I forgot to buy the policy before the moving day and the apartment community wouldn't hand me the keys until I bring the copy. They gave me a brochure for eRenterPlan. I bought the policy from my iPhone, it took less than 5 mins. eRenterPlan site is very user friendly and they didn't ask me any extra questions. Apparently my apartment is on the their preferred community list and I got a discounted price. Policy looks great, easy to get, I will recommend eRenterPlan with no hesitation. read more

This company is really Bad. I called waited for 45 mins and the man that answered was very rude. So I said that he sounded in a bad mood and I wanted to talk to a manager. He hung up after a 45 min wait. Started checking around and found a cheaper policy with Geico that covers water and more then ERENTERS. I am getting away from this company. Check out the other companies out there. I did not even tell him what I was calling for before he hung up on me. I guess I should think him because Now I am saving 10 dollars month. read more

I got an eRenterPlan policy few months ago. My neighbor's washer had a leak and water came all over my apartment and ruined all the furniture. My PS3 was sitting on the floor and was damaged as well. eRenterPlan was very responsive in getting the value for my stuff at replacement cost. The adjuster who helped me was empathetic and very responsive in handling the claim. My apartment forced me to buy the renters insurance policy to live in this apartment and I am glad they did. Thanks for my apartment community and eRenterPlan. read more

The best customer service I have ever experienced with an insurance company. I called a day before my annual payment was due to switch to monthly and they actually stopped the payment and re-did my policy, only for me to realize I did not have my debit card with me. "No problem" said the agent, he gave me a reference number and when I called back with my debit card it took a couple of minutes for the entire transaction to be completed...the agent knew exactly what I was calling for and immediately took care of it...Great Job! read more

Why is this company recommended by communities, check the numbers and you will find a much lower cost with good companies, e.g. Progressive offered a similar policy for less than half the premium, 127.00 compared to 297.00. I had this company and cancelled one day after I paid and they told me a refund would take one month in the form of a check because they did not have my credit card I just provided!!?? This kind of thing is a red flag to me. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, or at least check and compare read more

hi, I recently obtained renters' insurance from eRenterPlan. I was very surprised at the ease in securing the insurance and the pleasant conversation with the agent that sold me my policy. The proper documentation was faxed over to my leasing office. At some point I needed to add another insured roommate and that again was done with a fax to my leasing office and with no additional cost to me. I am a happy customer and hope that I have many long years with eRenterPlan. read more

I moved to a new apartment community from out of state, and didn't have much time to complete the required paperwork. Luckily with eRenterPlan, there was no paperwork! I was able to complete everything by phone and they confirmed my policy directly to the leasing office. It was a quick and easy phone call, and Chaz provided excellent customer service. All of the community requirements were met, and the price is very reasonable. Thank you, ERenterPlan! read more

Easy to sign-up, and my new policy was emailed to me instantly! It was shared with my apartment complex so I did not have to make an extra trip or print any paperwork. When I asked about the different level of insurance, she explained it to me. When asking if I wanted additional option coverages, there was no pressure or sales pitch to get me to add-on. I would definitely recommend this company to other renters! read more

These people rock! No fuss and no bother, one call and a couple of minutes later I was sorted and covered. They are very professional, courteous and helpful. What a completely unique experience - no waiting in a automated que and listening to daft music. I spoke to a representative right from the get go. She answered all my questions promptly and effeciently. Try them you wont be sorry! read more
