However, he does substandard work and not responsible nor reliable at all. He doesn't have his address on his business card or Facebook page make it hard to find him. I hire him to replace a roof for my property and here is what other contractor report about his roof job. 1) vent boots not replaced... 2) ridge shingles are not done well and some are upside down 3) valleys are not woven well... 4) main roof shingles to hip ridges do not reach under ridge shingles... Ridges can be redone as is. However. In order to correct the valley weaves, those areas if if the main roof would have to be stripped... 5) tar paper to drip edge is not nailed or glued down. Also starter course not nailed out to drip cap. They did not use ice and water shield first 3' from drip edge of roof... And all this is at first inspection, at this point I'd wonder what other issues are underlying... Was at property today for gutter covers. Installed (4) vent covers out of five pvc vents. All 4 were exposed to weather... You'll notice some ridge covers aren't even nailed down. Also they used black shingles as well. There are other customer complain on the craigslist, saying "WARNING! Do not use this company. None of these things happened in our case. From another state, we hired 5A to complete a full house remodeling job that included water damage and mold abatement. Although we could tell not much work had been done, he kept demanding more and more money from us. At one point he had not applied $40,000 that we had paid him, but was asking for more. After being way over budget and time, as well as, terrible work quality, we had to fire them and hire another company to take over and manage the job. We are now paying to re-work much of what had been done because it was so poorly executed and would never have met code. He rarely shows up on the job and he kept our property filthy. He had no respect for anything on our property. Windows were broken that we must now repair. He cuts corners! He would not communicate what was going on at our home or if he did, it was a lie. For example, we met one Saturday to go over the job and he never told us we had failed our inspection just 1 day prior. He kept atrocious books. When we asked to see his accounting, it was just a file of receipts that could have been for any job. He is so unprofessional. The builder will not respond to our letters asking for our deposit and other monies that are ours, so he left us no other recourse but to pursue it legally. It has been such a disappointing experience.
