He drove a very large shuttle van with plenty of room for our double wide stroller and 3 pieces of luggage. If you request car seats, I suggest telling them the weight of your kids. I requested 2 forward facing car seats but our driver arrived with 1 forward facing car seat and 1 high back booster seat. Both my girls are under 35 pounds and the high back booster is for kids over 40 pounds so I wasn't very comfortable with that but we didn't really have a choice. I'd recommend they ask if the child weighs enough to use a booster before swapping it out. FYI they only take cash and they do not drive to/from Ontario airport.

While I easily could have went with Uber, Rich gave me an incredible deal that came out to the same as Uber. Our driver was Harry. Not only was he amazing, but he was completely reliable and most importantly safe. The car was spacious enough for my Bruin to bring home laundry to do at home. For our roundtrip airport transport, we confirmed twice over the phone that we needed a rear-facing car seat and a vehicle that could fit five passengers with luggage. The driver showed up without the correct car seat, and the car was too small for our bags. When we brought this up, we were told the driver "forgot." This created a stressful and unsafe ride for our baby. On our return ride, the same driver was over 20 minutes late, joked on the phone that "no one's coming," and when we asked for an ETA, gave no clear answer. When my elderly father expressed frustration, the driver threatened to leave us at the airport. This was deeply unsettling--especially since the driver knew our home address. After the trip, I spoke with Rich (the manager), who acknowledged both incidents were unacceptable and promised a refund and a free ride to make it right. Neither happened. It's not about the money--it's the principle. The broken promises and continued lack of follow-through make me feel we were lied to just to de-escalate the situation. I don't take writing negative reviews lightly, but this experience was unacceptable. This company may have good ratings, but if something goes wrong, you're on your own. I would not trust them again--especially if you're traveling with children.

For example, I've called in regard to two different booked trips in the past month and only ever got through to someone once (out of about 6 calls total and one unanswered text). - They tend to switch drivers day of trip due to availability and timing which I can totally understand but if you're someone who gets anxious about switch ups like that - just something to note. - There isn't really a way to modify or cancel a trip reservation easily off their website. You'd have to call but as I've mentioned, it was tough getting in touch. However! The little chat function on the website worked pretty quick and they were responsive at first in helping. Then I got ghosted mid-convo bc I think whoever on the other side thought I was done with my questions/asks. - There is a 5% cancellation fee due to the company's bank? This is regardless of time before trip. There are other reputable car service companies that give full refunds for cancellations as long as it's at least an hour before reserved time. This company is cheaper than the ones I'm thinking of so there is balance there! But can get complicated, if like me, you're booking for business trip which is an expense but hard to expense a cancellation fee on top of a different res elsewhere. But also, I had one experience where there wasn't any issues with pick up other than the driver switch which had us confused momentarily. We got over it fast and was nothing but a hiccup! But again, if you're sensitive about things like that - just something to be aware of so that nobody is surprised.

I found Airport Rides and read the positive reviews, so I requested a quote. Within two minutes of sending my quote request, I received a phone call from a gentleman named Anthony. I provided Anthony with pertinent information, including the date, location, number of passengers, luggage information, and return transportation details. Within 15 seconds, Anthony provided me with a round-trip quote, tax, and tip for his drivers, which was hundreds of dollars less than what other shuttle companies had quoted me for one-way transportation. I had to confirm three times during our phone conversation whether there were any additional fees, since his price was sooo much better than anyone else's. Anthony advised me that he was the owner of his new shuttle company and that, as a new business, excellent customer service and competitive pricing were the keys to its success. So it was kind of weird not knowing it was remote, but kind of cool because we were able to fly out and go. Initially we filled out paperwork via DocuSign and only had to scan our ID's over. So this was a plus because we didn't have to wait in any long lines!!! Upon landing they gave us access to the vehicle and the option from two shuttles, we end up taking the Budget shuttle, and when we got off it was about a minute walk to the car. Now this is when everything became amazing. We were expecting a clean car but the Tesla we got was immaculate inside and out. It felt brand new but had 30k+ miles on it. It also came with full-self drive so playing with it before we left was fun. It was able to self-park and came to us when we used the summon button! You got to try it, we scared my mom later in the day jejeje. It drove well, and we were able to go to San Diego and back without any issues. We did have to charge up twice but it was only $27!!!! Talk about bang for your buck!!! Their team was also very responsive when we had question's about charging and how returning the car works. So that was a plus! They also allowed us to change our drop-off location towards the end. Originally we were suppose to return the car to the Glendale location. However, they let us drop the car where we picked up at. As well as use the same shuttle to return to LAX. I think the only place they could have done better was the parking. Upon return all the spaces were filled so we had to wait a few minutes until someone left to drop the vehicle off. Also they were sold out of strollers/car seats for the little ones. Outside of that we had fun in their vehicle!! Overall really happy we found them, and we will definitely be using them for future rentals!! They were professional, and the process was smooth.
