walmart on green acres rd. in eugene refused to put groceries in my car. i am a legal…read moremulti-disabled individual parked with a permit in their disabled spaces. i contacted lila to get help. lila didn't seem to know the 1990 amendment to ada law and said they would be "contacting walmart" when they could as they are short staffed. meanwhile i stand with my groceries in the parking lot begging customers to put the groceries in my car as required by the amendment to the 1990 ada civil rights laws which specifically states that walmart cannot deny this service. lila replied they are going to contact walmart to see if they want help with training their employees when lila gets around to it. they are short staffed, no doubt, but presently appear useless. filing a lawsuit against walmart with oregon civil rights commission will take 6 mos before the commission even opens the mail and reviews it. if this is the "service" lila offers we should de-fund them.

All of this with ample parking and access to the river trail make this a real gem.

One guy is always spouting off at the top of his lungs about "Jesus, blah, blah, blah" while the other guy with a junk filled shopping cart is an expert on the FBI, CIA, an Army Ranger, knows about China, Russia, & cloning. The only thing he doesn't know about is getting a job so he will have something to do. These men talk so loud they disrupt the entire room and no one shuts them up so if you want to work on your laptop or read a book or even visit then you have to put up this these guys. We rented the Chandler Ballroom + Kitchen for an afternoon/evening. The Ballroom was spacious, easily seating our ~115 guests, and well-lit, with large, north-facing windows providing ample indirect light. We were pleased that the room came with tables & chairs and with the professional-grade kitchen appliances. The large ovens & refrigerator were perfect for storing and reheating our food. Sarah, the staff member with whom we worked, made the entire process very easy! She was flexible, knowledgeable, and responded quickly to our many questions. She gave us a diagram of the Ballroom's floorplan that she made, which was incredibly helpful, and gave us a tip about looking at Special Occasions in Corvallis for event rental services (tablecloths, tableware, etc). To top it all off, the venue rental was reasonably priced - it was much more affordable than other options in Corvallis & Portland. Thank you very much to the CCC and Sarah for helping make our wedding plans a reality! If we ever need to plan a large gathering in Corvallis in the future, the CCC will be our first choice :)
