What a fun attraction in Issaquah - and a great way to learn more about the area. My friend told…read moreme about the miscellaneous trolls that are around the western Washington area, created by artist, Thomas Dambo from Denmark. So, I had to see it for myself. I took my dog on a walk around Issaquah - and we made it a point to check out Jakob Two Trees while in the area. To get here, online sources referenced the Rainier Multiple Use Trail in the old town of Issaquah. If you map to Rainier Trail, it does not take you to the entrance to the trail. However, this trail is near the Issaquah Community Center, which is where I mapped and was easily able to find the entrance to the trail. Along the Rainier Multiple Use Trail in a short distance is Jakob Two Trees. There's a sign that explains more of the artwork and artist, using only up-cycled materials to create these trolls. It was cool to see and you're able to walk all around the giant troll and get pictures up close. Although I am not Scandinavian, I do love how treasured trolls are to the Nordic countries, so now I want to find more of the trolls around the Pacific Northwest.

Saw a sweet little Lalique "Happy Cat" up for sale, decided that i have at least two people who are very much cat lovers that would love owning it and made that my "ease into" the auction game. The people at Mroczek Bros. were very helpful and patient with me, and made the process easy. i was the winning bid (!), they did a wonderful job of shipping it with a lot of protection, and arrived in perfect condition!! i had done some research into Lalique and when it arrived i can say without any hesitation it was 100% Lalique and not a blemish on the item. i have it stashed away as a very special gift and i know it will be much loved by whomever is the lucky person that gets it! Thank you Mroczek Bros. for helping make my first "real" foray into the auction world a very happy experience!! i highly recommend their company for anyone looking to sell or buy. Our goal was to signify pride in who we are and what our brand identity is. Who needs flags when you have an empty canvas wall? At the same time, we're proud washingtonians; it's important for us to support local arts and artists in everything we do from a brand and creative marketing standpoint. Through mutual connections/recommendation, I got in touch with Overall Creative. And the rest is history. It was a seamless and very enjoyable collaboration. Having worked with muralists in the past, I had a fairly high bar for work quality. Overall Creative exceeded this bar. They we're great to work with, kind, very professional, perfectionistic, and frankly, hand-painting machines. The quality of their work, line, and attention to detail was of the highest caliber. And they crushed it fast. Now we have a rad, incredibly professional hand-painted mural that fully articulates our identity to anyone and everyone. If you're looking for an amazing mural or supergraphic, I'd put Overall Creative at the top of your list.

Both of them made me feel not only welcome as a newbie tattoo getter, but also have made me feel respected in my body while getting tattooed in vulnerable places. They also are so cool about moving the stencil if you aren't quite happy with placement. They both are wonderful humans are I would refer either of them in a heartbeat. Not only that, but the other workers in the shop are always so supportive and kind. I love the vibe of this shop. Here are a few pics of pieces I have gotten from this shop! Sternum done by Hannah which I trusted her to customize,8 could not be happier and I am returning for an extension of it and butterflies done by Ben which I'm obsessed with. The shop is also very clean, including the bathroom. Parking is easy if you don't mind walking a block or two!

My friend and I visited on a Friday around 2 PM, and there were a few spots open, so getting in was really easy. I loved how simple everything was to navigate, there's even a map available when you enter. Entry and parking are both completely free, which is a huge plus. We walked along the trail and I'd recommend spending about 2-3 hours here if you want to take your time and fully enjoy it. We had to speed-run our visit because we had another errand afterward, but it was still incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend stopping by the bridge, it was very therapeutic and relaxing to walk across. There are plenty of benches and seating areas along the way, perfect for taking breaks or just soaking in nature. The quality of the space is amazing, with a wide variety of rocks, trees, and scenery that make the whole experience feel peaceful. There are also bathrooms located at the front, and you're never too far from other people, which made it feel comfortable and safe. Overall, I definitely recommend stopping by this place.
