Specifically I was having a TMJ isuue, but after my session, about 10 minutes after I left, I had jaw pain that lasted for 2 weeks. Maybe it was something I did, maybe something she did, but that pain made it hurt to yawn. Granted I didn't call back to say anything, maybe I should have. Regardless, I can't see myself going back. I've been able to see over the years how she has developed the business into a much larger and full scale bodywork center and it keeps getting better. what an awful experience..... i booked a massage since i hurt my back. made the appointment online using their service. Had to move it one day.. You can't adjust or cancel your appointment online. Had to leave a message and someone did call me back... was able to move it. My assistant put it on my calendar, and accidentally put it 30 minutes later than the schedule. I arrived 30 minutes late to their site. No one was there. There is no receptionist, no one answers the phone. I called the therapist Olivia directly who did not pick up. Found that she left me a message asking if i had forgot the appt. I called back two times to apologize and to reschedule. Olivia never returned the call. I have no issue paying for a missed appointment, but do expect for $120 bucks that I should get a courtesy call back. She also should have stayed the full time that I hired her. Clearly she waited 10 minutes and blew me off... Not a service I would ever use or recommend to anyone.... read more

We had a couple massage at Equilibria, a friend of my girlfriend had been here for a prenatal massage and she said it was amazing and the lady who did the massage was caring and skillful, so and she recommended this place for us to try it. Considering mine and my girlfriend's crazy and hectic schedules and the popularity of this place, I thought it would have to take several days before we got a time scheduled. Surprisingly, wow, we got in very fast. This was most effective real DEEP tissue massage experienced, since I have moved to Oregon. I had really sore shoulders and neck. Usually you do feel much better while having the massage, right? But then the effect wears off, already the day after, with the stress and all, but I was amazed this time the benefits lasted for quite few days. The soreness gone. Yowza! I went to Equilibria yesterday for a massage and I am still feeling it over 24 hours later. I scheduled a last minute appointment on Monday for an hour long session on Tuesday afternoon. I walked into the lobby and was immediately greeted by Kamilla (pronounced like Pamela but with a K) who was going to be working on my back. She had me take a seat and fill out a short in-take form about past injuries and chronic ailments (the usual in-take form) and right at 1:30 she brought me back to the room where all of the magic was about to happen. We chatted for a few minutes about areas I wanted extra attention on and anything I wanted avoided. Sixty minutes later I was a pile of mushiness and didn't want to get off of the table. Kamilla spent a lot of time on my lower back which held many knots that I wasn't expecting. She told me that this was something that we could work on together if I decided to come back to her. Which I probably will. This is a tiny, intimate, immaculate space that's easy to relax in. Do yourself a favor and come see this incredibly gifted woman. I didn't want to get off the table when our session had ended. Kamila is amazing. I'm still feeling the effects of the reiki rushing thru me even now it's been a day since I've seen her. Shortly after I first moved to Portland, I had an incredible pain in my hip that would not go away. Lacking any recommendations from friends, I was desperate and began calling massage places from google at random. Equilibria was able to fit me in the same day. I was suspicious, because I thought maybe their schedule wasn't full because they weren't any good, but I was so wrong. Ease of getting an appointment is just one of their many pluses. I've had massages all over the country, and the massages that I received from Laurel at Equilibria are hands down (get it?) the best. I like an extreme amount of pressure, and often leave massages feeling disappointed, but Laurel is incredibly strong. I leave feeling like I've had a medical procedure done. It's amazing.
