Shortly after, I filled out extensive paperwork, which was required even for services that were not applicable to mine (forms for tint, lash extensions, etc.). I will say, April was very accommodating and adjusted my appointment time because it worked better for my work schedule. That was truly the only positive. I showed up to my appointment 5 minutes early, as requested, and there was no signage of the business so I did not know which of the 4 doors to enter. It turns out that the suite number on all the emails and contact information was different than the actual suite number. April never washed her hands before starting my service, even after touching the doorknobs and scratching her head and ear. This was pretty disturbing and unsanitary. She got started and the entire process was very uncomfortable--between taping down my eyelashes and scraping off the glue at the end (and leaving glue residue for me to clean myself later). The lash lift appointment time slot was for 1 hour, but I was there for almost 2 hours. I'm not sure if she ran into an issue, didn't know what she was doing, or what--she never gave a reason why. After April was finished and handed me the mirror, I wanted to cry. Lash enhancements--whether a lash lift or lash extensions--are always curled evenly with the shape of a "C" or "(", but mine are more like a "J" with a strange crimp right at the bottom, while the top is still stick straight. Also, several of my lashes were missed and left untouched or un-lifted. Both of these issues are shown in the photos attached. I was polite and kindly told her that they were not what I expected. I asked several questions to understand why they have this shape and I referenced other lash lift shapes on her Instagram, but she kept changing her answers and did not have a clear reason. She tried to blame it on me for wanting a "natural" look, even though she had 3 options to choose from on her survey--natural, dramatic curl, and somewhere in between--and I selected the "in between" option. She claimed that these were the most natural looking lashes she has ever done, although this strange crimp is NOT natural looking. I am just so disappointed with my results and am hoping the shape does not last long. Other reviews state that April was thorough with the aftercare, but that was not my experience. April ran through the aftercare quickly as I was checking out on the iPad and distracted. For a business with so many written instructions and forms to fill out ahead of the time, I'm surprised I didn't get an email or any written information with aftercare instructions. Finally, April's attitude throughout the entire process was discouraging. From the text communications before my appointment to the entire time throughout the appointment, she had an attitude. Even when I kindly told her I was in pain or something was poking me, she had an attitude about it and was dismissive. I am extremely dissatisfied with the entire experience, service, and results and will never return to Jawbreaker Beauty Bar.
