I have had several rushed visits here but yesterday was the worst one. It was my first time seeing Dr. Rorex and it was a horrible visit. She tried to sell me hundreds of dollars worth of things they can do to my skin. When I said I couldn't do that and that I wanted her to look at a spot, she said my time was up and I have to make another appointment. I was in shock. This visit was me listening to her sell numerous things she could do to my skin, instead of her actually checking a spot on my body. The front office staff and manager helped me tremendously after my visit and I'm extremely grateful for them. I'm looking for another dermatology office now. After seeing the numerous cases similar to mine keep happening, I hope this company knows what to do to stop losing patients. read more

Arrived at 7:50 for an 8:00 appt. Gave a receptionist my name and appt time, sat down to wait. Some people were being called back for treatment, apparently without regard for arrival time. After a 1/2 hour I asked at the desk what was going on. They said sorry, computer is down we don't know who is waiting for what doctor. I left and will be looking for a new doctor. This is a massive failure by management for not having a backup plan and on the desk personnel for not having the imagination to simply have people write down their name, Dr and appt time on a clipboard and proceed from there. read more

DON'T GO HERE!!!! I am new to Arizona. I scheduled a new patient annual skin check with Dr. Jennifer Rorex. She was very robotic and made no effort to get to know me as a new patient. She gave me a very serious medication and no instructions other than come back in 6 weeks. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. Even though I realize that one provider does not define the entire practice, my experience was more like a "puppy mill" process from front desk to back office, than creating a relationship with a new patient to work together for my health. read more

I contacted Epiphany Dermatology today to update on my progress and to thank them SO MUCH for reaching out to me regarding my first appointment. They set me up with a Dr to discuss my issues. She took a biopsy of my neck and froze some precancerous tissue from my check. My biopsy was positive for basal cell cancer and they immediately set up an appointment with Dr Hill to remove it. The staff was awesome and Dr Hill was gentle, telling me exactly what was going on the whole time. I'm glad that my Yelp review was handled, along with my uneasiness that pushed me for answers. I will continue to use them when necessary and for follow ups. read more

I went in last month to have a freckle looked at on my right lower ankle. Dr. Whitlock saw me for that consultation and performed the biopsy. He was very friendly and explained everything to me clearly. I was to hear back about 2 weeks later but I received a call maybe 5 days later with results. He referred me to Dr. Hill at the Peoria location due to where my freckle was located. I went yesterday to have the remainder of the area removed to make sure everything was removed before stitching me up. I came back today to hear the results were clear and I was ready to be stitched up. Dr. Hill and Joy were very friendly and explained everything to be in detailed. I received great care and felt very comfortable. Dr. Hill called me about a hour after my appointment to make sure we made it home safely and to remind me to elevate and ice my bandaged area. I requested an appointment here over the weekend for today. When it asked me to fill in an explanation of what I'm looking to have done I mentioned that I had a cyst in my back that's growing at an exponential rate because my husband and I made a terrible decision and tried to pop it ourselves. The reason we did this was because we were hoping to avoid an office visit as our insurance ended a few days ago lol. Typical am I right? Anyways, this cyst is angry and inflamed looking (I'll leave a picture) and to be honest I'm very concerned about it being infected. I explained that I would just need a quote and I was going to pull the cash from savings. Well I didn't even get a chance to because they denied my appointment request. No phone call or explanation as to why, no offers to get me in on another day. No communication at all. I own my own business in an appointment based industry and always provide an explanation if I deny someone's appointment request and then try to get them in on another day. I cannot believe this establishment wouldn't offer the same bare minimum. I don't know if it's because I told them I was uninsured (this is my theory as to why they denied me but I can't be sure of course) but I have the cash. I suggest looking elsewhere for your dermatology needs if you're a new patient or in a situation like myself. It is my opinion that they don't care about people just about getting paid and hand picking the patients. read more

I went in for a checkup on a mole that had changed, and while there, Dr. Hill saw another issue, a large lipoma I have had for decades. Other doctors had told me in the past that it was too sensitive to treat due to its location on my spinal column on the back of my neck, but Dr. Hill confidently said, that he could handle, (remove) it with no problem. He asked if I was in a hurry and I told him I was not, so he said to wait in his lobby for about half an hour until lunch time. I did so, he called me back to a treatement room and performed surgery. He removed that nuisance with which I had lived for over 40 years. He sacrificed his lunch hour for my convenience. That was above and beyond in my estimation. It usually would have been scheduled out in the future, but It required him and two of his staff. I love the result and give my two thumbs way up for their professional manner and medical skills--five-star experience for me. I would post photos, but it is pretty gross, and I don't think it would get past the filters. I went to a Dr. for medical help and got it with care, concern and skill beyond my expectations. He communicated post surgery care and followed up with me a couple days later. Great Dr., great team. read more

If I could only give you a zero I most certainly would! 2 months ago I made an appointment with Dr. Rorax to have a cyst removed from my earlobe. Waited a month to get in, and was canceled on 3 hours before my procedure because of "personal" reasons. Life happens, I get it, but I wasn't happy because I adjusted my work schedule around it. They rescheduled me for 2 weeks later, that was today. Just got the call that Dr Rorax doesn't remove cysts from the face. Whaaaat?! Not my face, my earlobe, which ALL staff was made aware of when this whole process started. Canceled again! As I'm writing this review the office manager called me & said I could reschedule with David on Monday at 4:30. Again re adjust my schedule. I said "oh is that what works best for you?" & she hung up on me! Ha! Untrained, unprofessional staff. Do better & stop wasting people's time. read more

Was referred by some friends who were concerned about some spots. During the appointment, which lasted less than 20 minutes, I was seen by the doctor for less than 10 minutes. I do not feel this was a thorough examination whatsoever Additionally, I was surprised to receive a bill for nearly $400, of which my insurance covered a portion, leaving me with an outstanding balance of $165. Given the brief nature of the consultation and the limited examination, I do not feel that this charge reflects the level of service provided. read more

Several years ago, I went here to have some moles removed. I was told that it was covered by my insurance. Fast forward a few months and it turns out that they were mistaken....they said insurance was billed and it wasn't covered. I later found out that my insurance at the time never received a claim from them. Too late to fix now. "Sorry ma'am you still owe a balance." Fast forward to today. My husband went in for an appointment this morning. They tell him during check in that he owes $1000 from a couple years ago. They admitted that they never billed insurance!!!!! How could you just NOT bill insurance. They also claimed they sent us bills in the mail. We NEVER received any bills in the mail from his account. Now that it's years later, we can't go back and get that covered. $1000!!!!! What is wrong with these people!? It's crazy to me that they did the same thing with me then some time later they did the same thing with my husband. How can they even stay in business? One more thing....when someone calls to make an appointment, how do you NOT tell them that they have a $1000 balance??? Train your people, hire someone who can figure out the insurance piece, and communicate with your patients. read more

I have had cancer found and removed from my face at this office. It was found by Dr Joan and Dr Hill did the removal he had to cut a pretty good hole in my cheek but when he was done and it healed you would never know it happened. I recently noticed a sale online for a facial so I called and made an appointment. It was so relaxing. My skin feels amazing Im so glad I went. I have had good experiences with epiphany, but I have found that they never answer their phone. It is very frustrating because it is so hard to get into contact with them. So while I do have good experiences when I am at epiphany, I have to leave 2 stars because I am very unimpressed with how challenging it is to just get in contact with them. read more

On my first visit I waited 30+ min in the lobby, the doctor kept going in and out of my room during my visit, seemed very scatterbrained. My follow up visit was a lesser wait time, however I was given a paper with an estimate of costs for a procedure without first having discussed all of my treatment options. My follow up visit was 3 months later and I've had to call them 7 times to follow up on having the correct prescription called in to my pharmacy. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Rita Fisler back in May of 2022 to get Botox for TMJ problems. I received 8 units in each masseter muscle plus a few more units to help other muscles. It was AMAZING and that appointment would be 4 STARS (exception for some sarcastic comments and eye rolling from Dr. Fisler when I expressed some concerns)! I was not clenching or grinding my teeth for about a month! The full results lasted six months, and there was a significant decrease in pain. This was my first session of Botox after several decades of grinding my teeth. I have done everything imaginable to stop grinding/clenching and have chewed through 5 splints. I went to a TMJ specialist and spent THOUSANDS of dollars without relief and she refused to do botox injections. So I went to Dr. Fisler and it was worth EVERY PENNY- pain reduction for six months was definitely worth it! This is the 6 month mark and I called to schedule another appointment with Epiphany Dermatology and Dr. Fisler is no longer there! I scheduled online with a different doctor at the Peoria office and received a TEXT MESSAGE saying that "sorry...We do not inject botox for TMJ". Um...yeah you do! So I had to call and wait on hold for an eternity. The receptionist didn't seem to have critical thinking skills. I kept asking if the random doctor I picked in the online scheduling tool doesn't do his couldn't I schedule with someone else. I know there are several locations and I don't mind driving once every 6 months to get this done. She said "Nobody provides that service". Really? Somehow I find it hard to believe with such a quick response. She didn't even ask me to hold while she checked so it really sounded like she was guessing and just wanted me off the phone. Ok, I guess I will move on and find a new dermatologist! read more

Never go here. They over charge and even after I sent payment never cashed the check. Leading them to almost sending me to collections. Called their offices multiple times over the course of months to correct. Reps constantly said they'd call me back and never did. They continuously blame the "Corp" offices and the Corp offices blame the location. ZERO follow-up ZERO concern. Since then I've started going to my regular doctor about my condition. Services are 1/3 the cost. They also frequently change doctors so you can never build a relationship. If you use them, go once, find out your condition then go to your main doctor for treatment. It will save you so much time and trouble. They just don't care. read more

Dr Hill has been my surgeon for removal of many, many skin cancers. He is so kind and skilled. His entire team of assistants are very competent and caring. I would HIGHLY recommend Epiphany Dermatology. I recently had a wood splinter embedded so far under my fingernail that it couldn't be removed by tweezers. Joan PA and Tiffany MA were able to successfully remove the splinter with minimal pain. They explained everything to put me at ease prior to and during the procedure. Every time, over the years, when I've wanted to give this place another chance (because they're close, name change or not) it disappoints me. They are a "provider" on our insurance. I'm being billed beyond my co-pay to have skin cancer lesions removed, (badly at that) further biopsy, and a followup that amounted to nearly $500. (Nothing cosmetic here, just cancer removal.) I had no idea or control over followup/testing, yet I was billed. I won't go back. Family either. Insurance paid a bundle, yet they want more from the patient. read more

This place is awful. My family and I had just moved to Arizona a few days before coming here. My 4 month old son woke up with, what looked almost like little burns on the inside of his arm and chest. I was terrified and called ten or so places and this was the only place that had an appointment that same morning. I got there, they charged me $100 for a two min visit, where the doctor told me it "looked like eczema" and that I should be "moisturizing him more". She then went on to recommend a list of terrible lotion brands to use on him! I called my pediatrician right after the appointment when they opened and sent him a photo and he said it was "very obviously impetigo". This place couldn't even spot impetigo!? I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated during my last appointment. I scheduled a visit 5 weeks in advance as I have to travel from Tucson and request time off. This Friday I had my appointment scheduled for 3:30pm. I made the 2 hour drive up from Tucson. I received a confirmation message from Epiphany at 1:40pm and showed up to my appointment on time. When I came in, I was told that the appointment was cancelled. They claimed they had tried contacting me but when I showed them my call logs they would not make eye contact or prove that they had attempted to contact me. This shocks me as I know that there are multiple ways that the staff can reach me including cell, home phone, email, and as a last resort, my emergency contact. It was a "too bad, so sad" apology and I felt extremely mistreated. The front desk receptionist was very rude and began getting defensive and raising her voice when I told her my situation. I felt no empathy from the staff and there were no accommodations attempted to resolve the situation. The staff were very unprofessional and could not be bothered to rectify the situation or properly apologize. I was extremely accommodating prior to this appointment and have on occasion had to adjust appointments or make earlier times so it is convenient for THEM not me. As a medical student, we are only allotted 2 passes off a year and I had to request that time off to make this situation. I continued to make the drive instead of finding a local establishment in Tucson because I enjoyed my previous experience and have been a loyal customer for years now. However, after this recent mistreatment and dismissal, I no longer feel like a valued customer. read more

Had my initial appointment with Dr. Julie Jacobs on Friday. Waited 45 minutes in waiting room. As a new patient, I had a few questions and expected a conversation with the doctor about issues listed on my new patient form. Doctor spent approximately 6 minutes with me, extremely humiliating exam, no attempt by doctor to ease my discomfort, no conversation about my concerns. After being told to get dressed when the doctor left the room, I started to ask the assistant (nurse?) a question, she brusquely told me "go upfront." At that point, there was no choice but to leave. My elderly mother was a frequent patient at this office, with numerous Mohs surgeries performed. Staff and doctors were all ways great to her. This prior service under The name Arrowhead Dermatology was the reason I chose this office. What has happened to them? read more

It takes a lot to upset me. I mean a lot. They are not organized and that caused me to waste a lot of time and money. I came by for a follow up appointment to do blood work in November 2020, and was asked what for? I replied that I didn't know what for, shouldn't they know? They asked if I was taking the accutane, and I said no. I came by and they said they didn't have to see me to refill my meds, since apparently my daughter's appointment was in their system, but mine wasn't. I told them I was travelling, if they needed to see me, why not last week? I had to call to find out they wouldn't give me the refill. To my surprise it has been two weeks, 5 messages, a conversation with a receptionist that told me I was wrong and the practice won't refill my medication. Just to make it clear a PA looked at my chart 2 weeks ago, and told me in front of many people that she would. She even came to the parking lot to confirm the pharmacy. I will travel for two weeks without any meds. It is just a water pill and a face wash, what upsets me is the disrespect. I will find another clinic, since my doctor left the practice anyways and they didn't have the courtesy to let her patients know. It is not ok to treat people that way. I called and left several messages that were never returned. I understand someone made a mistake. What I don't get it is why the rude tone. I don't get why they have a phone service if they don't call back, and above all I don't understand why they couldn't help me resolve my problem, the nurse never even talked to me. read more

The check in staff were friendly and I was seen in about 5 minutes. The doctor who saw me was personable and very friendly. I would recommend this office to anyone. read more

I can't understand why it takes so long to get an aesthetician to return your call to set up an appointment. (Front desk is awesome though.) Are they really that busy back there?
