And then we finally spoke and I was at ease. She is the sweetest. Dawn helped my boyfriend and I plan an amazing birthday trip! I usually do the planning but could not this time around because I had a lot going on and it was worth it. Dawn had so much patience with our many different changes and let's the forget the challenges that we had due to COVID. Our original trip was to Thailand but as planning restarted we had to pivot and plan for Colombia. All the hotels that Dawn chose for us were amazing and in close proximity to everything we needed. Costa Rica itself was absolutely beautiful, and the itinerary included some great destinations like Arenal, Tamarindo, Monteverde, and San José. Once everything was in place, the trip itself was very enjoyable and memorable. We did experience some challenges leading up to and during the trip, particularly with communication and some logistical issues around accommodations and reimbursements. That part of the process was stressful, and communication at times was more difficult than we would have liked. That said, I do want to acknowledge that Cody genuinely tried his best throughout the process, and once Danielle became involved, everything was handled professionally and thoroughly. Danielle ultimately sorted out the reimbursement issue, followed through on what was promised, and helped bring the situation to a fair resolution. We truly appreciated her stepping in and taking the time to resolve things properly. While the communication could have been smoother overall, we're grateful that Travel by Jen stood by their commitment in the end. I booked and paid in full on September 22, 2025 for a Costa Rica trip for four people, including two ocean-view rooms at Hotel Costa Verde. When I arrived in Costa Rica on November 22, 2025, the hotel informed me at the front desk that no reservation existed under my name. The hotel explained that my reservation had been cancelled due to non-payment by Travel by Jen, despite the fact that I had already paid the agency in full. As a result, the two ocean-view rooms I reserved were no longer available, and I was forced to pay out of pocket upon arrival--a very unpleasant way to start a vacation. The front desk staff also stated that they have ongoing issues with Travel by Jen related to non-payment and indicated the agency allegedly owed "tens of thousands of dollars." Based on my experience, once Travel by Jen has your money, they are extremely difficult to deal with, and their failure to pay vendors can directly impact travelers. I strongly recommend exercising caution before booking with this agency.

I…read morespecifically told the travel agent he needs a room that is (either) handicap accessible or is at least big enough for him to get around and not too far from everything on the ship. We are also 3 time cruisers on Holland America so I thought we would automatically be upgraded for being loyal customers. I also told the travel agency that we were going for our anniversary and told them the day. In the past they would send something to the room as a thank you for using them. NO MORE. We also ended up with a cabin ALL the way the the FRONT of the ship and had to walk very very FAR to anything else on the ship. If I booked the cruise on my own Holland America told me they could have accommodated me. Because we booked through #1 Travel who did NOTHING for us, they could not help us. Unfortunately the ship was completely booked and they could not change our cabin once we were on the ship. I WILL NEVER, EVER BOOK WITH #1 TRAVEL AGAIN!!!!
