Oddly enough, Gainesville does not have a Regal IMAX screen, so if you want this, you need to make the drive down to Ocala. Regal Hollywood gives that classic theater feel. The parking is easy with plenty of spaces. Inside the workers were friendly and helpful. The building itself is a little older (compared to Regal Celebration Pointe in Gainesville) but the seats are comfortable and the theater rooms were clean. Whether you want the IMAX experience for your next film or just a regular 2D screening, Regal Hollywood in Ocala is worth the trip.

We've been here as Harvest Host guests in our RV several times now. I make it a point to reserve…read morehere whenever we arrive to/leave from Central Florida because it is so enjoyable. We are always greeted warmly, parked strategically, and had the details explained to us upon arrival. Because our motorhome is 40' we have to park sideways so cannot see the movies out of the windshield as you would in a car, but we put out our lawn chairs and raised dog bed outside the rig and listen on our FM radio. We do tie the pups off to a post in front of us because others with dogs often park or walk nearby and ours are a bit too friendly. When the ticket booth opens, we pay for our tickets and concession voucher. The muffulettas and popcorn are both excellent! We were told we could run our generator before/after the movies but not during...worked out perfectly for us! Although our rig is self contained and didn't use them, bathrooms were nearby and open through the night. The even projected a free Valentines message between films as long as it was received a few days prior. Note: if you don't plan to listen from your car, you do need an FM radio...I don't think they have any of the old-fashioned window hanging speakers.

We accidentally lined up incorrectly and got a whole lecture how to read the signs. After paying $6 each and being charged an automatic $10 food voucher, we parked. The ladies working the concession stand are so rude. There's a sign that basically says "don't line up if you don't know what you want." The popcorn had been popped earlier so it wasn't warm and way too salty. The soda was flat, and the mozzarella sticks were again, salty. Apple Pay doesn't work! Movie started at 8pm and it was still daylight outside. The screen was still dark that no one could actually see the movie until an hour later. The instructions were to turn off the lights and engine, but the people around us had their engines on so the exhaust kept flowing through the lot. I wish there was an attendant that enforced the rules. Overall, it's an experience but they need to do better. I guess this is what $22 gets us.

Set up in the smallish theater is weird: a slippery downsloping floor where the rows of seats are not offset, so you have to lean at a weird angle to see the movie. Thankfully, no one was sitting in front of us or watching the movie would have been very difficult. Which bring us to the movie itself. It was so dim that the entire film seemed to be set in a dark cave. Complaining to the manager basically got a shrug and a statement that the fault lay with the print they received & that they couldn't improve it at all. So we'll have to go see it again somewhere else. Now we understand the sign.

At least with a dollar theater you don't expect too much. My mom said it was on a sink hole and they had to close it down for a while, and I guess when they re-opened it, they just unlocked the door and kept on moving. No renovations or anything. I don't think it is worth remodeling, but the city could use a theater near this location.

The theater our movie was in was small and had seats on each side with a row in the middle. I didn't have an issue with the size of the theater since there's only six screens here. It wasn't exactly dirty inside, but we couldn't sit in our first choice seats due to there being something stuck to the seat. The lights remained on during the previews and when the movie actually came on, the same lights that are on the ceiling of the center row were not turned off, but slightly dimmed. It was distracting and I don't know why they'd put lights so close to the screen... We asked them to dim them, but they couldn't. We decided to ask for a refund and the woman working the ticketing counter told us they've never had any complaints and that they didn't do refunds. We explained there was no way we could focus on the the movie with the lights on like that, so naturally, she gave us passes so we could come back to be miserable another time. I totally understand why the management doesn't give refunds. Everyone would walk out.

It's a simple but important country fair based on livestock and agriculture. Because it is all of the participants must be members of the 4 H or FFA. All types of livestock are raised with the utmost of care by the children and they have great pride in how they look. Awards are issued and later the animals are sold at auction. Some of the prized livestock includes goats, hogs, steers, lamb, rabbits and chickens. There are other competitions which include tractor driving ability, sewing, photography, gardening & cooking. The large fundraiser has always been a rodeo but recently that was nixed and their carnival was enlarged 3 fold.
