This place has so much to offer! We didn't realize how much or we would have gotten here earlier!…read more I have been wanting to check this place out since shortly after we moved to Utah. It looks like such a beautiful place to walk around and it's free! From tree carvings, wildflowers and historic tours. We came for the wonderful Sunday Farmer's Market and there were so many amazing vendors with so many yummy samples! My favorite was the Mediterranean Hummus vendor. So many selections to choose from! Because of the hummus purchase we had to book it out and get it home and chilled! They had fresh meat, eggs, breads, jellies, salsas, and of course tons of produce from different Utah produce farms. It's very busy and you may have to park in the neighborhood surrounding the farm on Sundays. It's quite popular!!!! I loved the old historic buildings some dating back to the early 1900's. There's plenty of animals to check out from horses, to cows, pigs, sheep, goats, roosters, peacocks and a sheep. There's a small country store onsite as well. They have tractor and wagon rides. Some of the most beautiful wood flowers growing, a small creek runs through the property and there are several trails which I look forward to exploring on our next trip. I'm also excited to watch a lesson on cow milking! It's truly a beautiful spot to visit, and if you are interested I'd suggest bringing a blanket and some lunch and sitting under the shady trees and enjoying the magnificent things this working farm has to offer.

I love taking our dogs to see the "exotic" animals. Behind the activity barn is garden entirely worked on by volunteers in the Master Gardener program. If you ever see them working be sure to share your thanks! There's also a long path that loops the property once you cross the bridge, it follows the stream and then hangs left.

John walked 22 miles to Salt Lake City and back each week from this location because he was called by Brigham Young, the leader of the mormon pioneers, to work on the Salt Lake City Temple. John carved out the words, "Holiness to the Lord, the House of the Lord" that are still on the temple today. It was after 20 years of doing this that one day, John was home milking his cow when his cow kicked his leg and broke it very badly. He had to have it amputated. He made himself a wooden leg (which you can go and see in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museum in SLC) and continued to walk to Salt Lake City to work on the temple. Getting here: Turn up a side street (there are signs in the area for Moyle park), drive north a little and the road will open to a large area with parking, a handcart, a big grassy, pavilion area, the historic Moyle home and Indian protection tower, pioneer farming tools, pioneer games (horse shoes, stick pull and more) and a few historic log cabins that have been moved to this location. There are a lot of plaques you can read. When my husband and I found out that the John R. Moyle home was in Alpine, we knew we had to go visit. We were only expecting to see the house he built for his family, so we were pleasantly surprised to see so many more historical buildings and plaques. The home was closed when we went there. We saw a paper sign on the outside that said almost every Tuesday during the summer they do Pioneer day events here. You can also call 801-830-3502 for tours. We will definitely be back to see the inside of the Moyle home. I hope you will come and visit this historical site!

We ended up at 3 unique and delicious stops I wouldn't have normally thought to try, and each was wonderful! At Antica Roma, I enjoyed Mushroom ravioli with truffle. So smooth... Pleiku Vietnamese introduced me to a fabulous Chicken basil. It had a bit of a kick and I worked around the onions and peppers but the chicken was to die for! Had a subtle crisp the was great! At Himalayan kitchen I got to sample several Indian bites: Coconut veggie curry, chicken tika masala and lamb curry with naan bread. All great but the chicken tika is unforgettable and the yogurt sauce for the naan so fresh and tasty! I enjoyed hearing Mo share our local history but even more than that, I loved learning about the lives the man changes thru his other businesses! Check out his mission at The Other Side where he works to support mental health and substance abuse recovery and works to rehabilitate those wanting to change their lives. He shares how many in his programs find their way thru addiction, homelessness and the legal system and change their lives thru The Other Side Academy (https://www.theothersideacademy.com/). Really cool to hear how communities have come together to support this mission. So glad I found myself to this tour and to have learned Mo's story. Definitely recommend this food tour. He also shared of his Hop On Hop Off bus tour and The Other Side Donuts for anyone wanting to support more of what he offers (slcbustours.com)

First of all it was the best experience we have had to see via helicopter the beauty of the terrain and wildlife of the national parks. I was very thankful that Leah arranged to have the best helicopter company and pilot. Most importantly the professionalism of this pilot and safety was paramount. Leah listened and helped to get this arranged specifically which made it a beautiful and safe experience of the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks and surrounding areas. I would highly recommend this agent and this travel agency to arrange private excursions.

He said some of what was outlined was not possible in short time frame and was surprised we asked for only one day in Yellowstone. We did not ask. That was the offered tour. Tour of Yellowstone and Grand Tetons a bust. We were told weather might affect and long drives so I accept that. Was not told that many of the roads and views of all Yellowstone Lake are not open until at least May 1 and some not until May 15. Saw zero views of Grand Tetons due to fog. Nobody's fault but none of the internal roads were open by the lakes so total waste of time. This after scary drive over the pass due to snow. 3 day tour from Salt Lake City should not be an option since it is 10 to twelve hours of just to and from driving to and from SLC. Then much of the park is closed. We were so disappointed we flew out of Jackson Hole to escape the 6 hour drive back.
