Yat's is not the place you go to purchase an engagement ring or a single stone to be reset elsewhere. They specialize in fashion jewelry, i.e. stuff you buy your significant other as a present. For example, they will have solitaire diamond earrings, but they are not so much into selling single stones and they make most of their sales off of stylized smaller rock earrings. They have a wide selection of rings and earrings for work and fun including a few items that are not on display. For people who are not used to shopping in jewelry stores, I would say this is a great place to check out. The shop is run primarily by women. Josephine is my favorite sales person. She's super helpful without being pushy. That is the general style of sales. I have done comparative shopping, but found that the clearing price ends up being the same. In the category of fashion jewelry there is a lot more flexibility. These ladies do their best to price in a place that allows them to make a profit, but is still a great bargain. I've worked with a few other ladies there as well. I generally give her my price range and she shows me a ton of stuff until she can hone into what makes sense for my style preference and price point. If you find something you like, you can put $20 down for them to hold it, if you want to think about it. They are also able to make custom jewelry pieces. If you want to bring a picture, from a magazine or website, they might be able to create something that is extremely similar. As for trusting that there stuff is real, it is. Don't sweat it. They are legit. Cost-wise, I've priced them against a few of the typical discount jewelry web-sites like Overstock and Blue Nile. They definitely price out better. They do have some CZ on gold pieces, but for the most part their stuff is all pearl, precious and diamond gemstones on white and yellow gold. I put $$ because this stuff isn't cheap like a cheap jewelry store. It's moderate priced, but certainly cheaper than you would find in other places. This is particularly the case if you pay cash. Indeed, I would not go here if I wasn't paying cash. It just doesn't make sense. That's not how people work in Chinatown. In short, for the gal that likes unique pieces that don't break the bank, add this to your accessories places for that something special.

Hoping to help with my career (find a job). Which DID NOT do anything! The red sting gets loose & dirty so easily. I need to pay $8 to change the sting, which I think it's fine ( if it helps). I got it changed before I went out of town. I didn't know there is a crack on the big black crystal (hundred some dollars one)- see attached. One day the string ripped on the cracked area and I lost few of the crystals. I was very sad. I tried to put them back but not enough crystals and can't put big one back due to one side cracked. My mom found a crystal bracelet which she bought me 20 years ago in Chinatown (same store in Chinatown NYC), and she put in a silver box nicely (my mom gave me the silver has a their logo "芳" on it pls see attach. This is my proof that we did got the bracelet from them in Chinatown NYC). I cut the old bracelet apart and put old and new crystal together to make one bracelet (I used all new crystals, only added few old pieces). I went to them today to get them clean. they said one of the crystal is not being to them, they cannot clean them for me. The lady was keep touching my bracelet and big black crystal. I confronted them, we did bought it from them 20 years ago. They keep saying no, so I don't want to argue anymore bc I lost my paper(proof). I asked them what do u want me to do, buying more crystals. They didn't say anything. They gave me bad attitude. When you spend $$$$ with them they are nicer with you. They suppose let us to do after service cleaning for the buyer. Now they make up excuses not to. Their stuffs are expensive. I spent $300+, abt $400 and didn't do anything. My fiancé made an appointment for one day at lunchtime last year, gave Peter the general style of stone and price point, and when we got to the office, there were a number of stone options waiting for us. We sat down with Billy, who was incredibly knowledgeable and patient and who gave us a lesson on diamonds. He helped me create my ring, allowing me to take things I liked from various settings and then ultimately put them all together. The end result was far better than I imagined! We went back to Pete when it was time to get our wedding bands - I put mine together over a couple of appointments, and my fiancé picked out his simple titanium band in maybe 90 seconds (lol). Highly recommend Pete and his team - they make jewelry buying easy and have high quality products at competitive prices. Go see him (once things reopen)!
