I had a very frustrating experience with Eastmont Body Shop…read more The initial estimate process was fast and easy, and I was told the repair would take approximately two weeks. I dropped my car off on August 3. My insurance initially authorized only three days for a rental car. Eastmont told me this was standard and that the rental authorization would be extended as needed. After three days, I began calling to make sure that had been taken care of. No one answered the phone or returned my messages. After an entire week without a response, I actually made the 65-mile drive to the shop because I was beginning to wonder if something had happened or if they were even open. They were. There was someone sitting in the office. They simply had not answered or returned my calls. At the two-week mark--the time I had originally been told my car would be finished--I called for an update. Again, it took three days to get a response. I was then told the car should be ready either Friday or the following Monday. Friday came and went with no call. Monday came and went with no call. At the four-week mark, I finally received a call saying the car would be ready Tuesday. I rearranged my schedule to make the 65-mile trip to pick it up, only to be told Tuesday morning that it would not be ready until the following day. We finally picked up the car four weeks and five days after dropping it off for what was originally estimated to be a two-week repair. Unfortunately, that still wasn't the end of it. On the drive home, I heard a ticking noise and pulled over to investigate. I discovered that molding on the driver's side had not been properly reinstalled. That meant yet another 65-mile trip each way to have the shop correct it. As of today, I believe the repair is finally complete. The actual bodywork itself was acceptable. My complaint is with the extraordinary lack of communication, repeated missed completion dates, and the amount of time the shop kept my vehicle. Delays can happen--I understand that. What is unacceptable is leaving a customer without updates, failing to return calls for days at a time, and telling a customer a vehicle will be ready when it isn't. A two-week repair became nearly five weeks, involved multiple unnecessary 130-mile round trips, and still required a return visit because part of the car had not been properly reassembled. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Eastmont Body Shop.

Recently, my car was hit, causing some damage to the driver's side wheel and the suspension. Of course when my insurance got involved they really tried to get me to have my vehicle towed to a shop of their choosing in Wenatchee, but I stuck to my guns and insisted that the repairs be done at A&M. During a phone call to the shop on the day my car was hit, the adjuster, myself and the shop (John the owner) were on a three way call discussing the damage. My adjuster was finished getting my info and assumed I had hung up the phone, which was when I got to over hear a conversation in which John really let into the adjuster letting them know that they need to be on top of things and get an adjuster up right away! Chris, the shop manager, kept me updated daily with the progress of my insurance claim (which was taking way too long) and really kept at my insurance company to stay on top of everything. When I picked up the car it looked beautiful (they even vacuumed out my whole car) and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I can not speak more highly of these guys! Remember that you have the right to choose which shop handles your repairs after an accident - don't let the insurance sway you, just so they can cut a deal with the shops.

They were so honest and helpful the whole time. Vinny did my estimate at the beginning and explained the breakdown so I actually understood what was being done and the costs. They followed through on everything they said and my car was even finished over a week earlier than the original pickup date. They also coordinated with the outside shops on the other things my car needed done with the wheel and clear bra and handled all of that for me which made it way easier on me. They also have a super easy after hours pick-up process and I was able to pick up anytime! I had such a great experience and will definitely be back if I ever need anything again.

To say the least AJ helped us out more than he knows…read more.. While on a 6-hour drive to Spokane to visit our parents and family our 2016 Kia Optima broke down near George WA. The weather conditions were horrible...wind had the temperatures in the low teens and was incessant. We managed to limp into a gas station where our cars breakdown was complete. Two Sr's and their 14-year-old Golden Retriever are now on foot in the freezing cold on a Saturday afternoon! Now what? We searched for an auto repair shop and landed on AJ's Performance Automotive repair about 25 to 30 miles away in Ephrata WA. We called AJ's and I told him about our car issues, and he then informed me that they were closed for the weekend (as were all the stores and shops in the area with few exceptions) but he would get right on it first thing Monday. He then recommended Tow Pros Towing Services and said he would call them and send them out. He did and they were hooking up our car within 45 minutes and we were on our way to AJ's shop. Our amazing experience with Chris Bennett of Tow Pros is a separate review I will post shortly. Monday came and AJ was true to his word and had our car in and diagnosed with number 4-cylinder misfire. He pulled the spark plugs to find they were missing a tip on #4 and the other spark plugs needed replaced as well. So, he order the parts and basically performed a tune up...only to find the #4 cylinder was still missing when tested. So, he pulled the plug and snaked a scope down into cylinder to find #4 cylinder valve had a chunk taken out of it. Unfortunately, engine replacement or rebuilding was beyond the shops scope of services. AJ then generously remove the new parts and only charged me for the mechanic's time. Thank you, AJ, for your help, kindness and generosity and introducing us to Chris Bennett of Tow Pros. You are a true professional with integrity and honor. (Readers - Please see the Ephrata WA Tow Pros review for the rest of the story and especially if you need a tow, they are the ones to call!) Thank You Again AJ! Leonard & LaDonna Q.
