They have repaired plywood that was not appropriate for roofing. They found a hole for venting an exhaust fan that was covered over by plywood. You stated you would be there at my home when the redo of the roof was done. You weren't. My current carpenters did the job and had gotten paid , and who knows when I will need them again in the future for restorative work roof or otherwise. They did their job and did it well. I've learned a fine lesson from this, research and ask numerous people for decent contractors. As for the owner of Elite, you eventually have to answer to a higher power. I've taken pictures, but they will stay with me. My carpenters did their job , and am proud of the work they did.

His team did a great job protecting my property and landscaping and performed several inspections to make sure everything was picked up. They ran the magnetic nail sweeper over my driveway and lawn several time to find any strays. Terry uses quality products and was on site the entire time. Jim Pescatore's Home Improvement had come highly recommended and when we hired his company to…read morereplace our roof and to install 3" round vents under our eaves, we felt confident that the job would be done properly... but over the past year, as I watch one after another of the vents fall out of the eaves, because they were not installed properly (1 inch pieces of black electrical tape used to hold them in place and no silicone caulk or fastener of any kind)... It worries us to think that corners were cut on other parts of the job and that we will have new and potentially more damaging shortcuts surface in the future... We have reached out to Mr. Pescatore and have not heard back from him or his company... Now we have to hire someone else to redo the vents properly...

We called him after New Years spoke with his secretary left a message and then a few days later left a message on his answering machine, he has never called us back to even let us know he wasn't interested or he wasn't going to do the job. I had another contractor willing to do the job but told him never mind because Jim said he was going to do the job. I would be leery of using this contractor and good luck getting him to return your call! At the least he could have been courteous and let us know he wasn't going to take the job. Buyer beware don't give him any money unless the job is complete!

The contract specifically states the work would be completed in 3 weeks & it's been almost 3 months; it also states that final payment will be due upon completion, well, not only is the work not completed but I'm having to hire other people to repair or finish the uncompleted work. This contractor has been harrassing me to the point of having to report him to the police for harrassment and now he's threatening to sue me! think twice before hiring this contractor. It's better to pay a little more & hire someone who's experienced and has good work ethics.

Steve O- Newington, CT I Hired JP carroll for my roof in…read moreNovember . they are a GAF certified installer which was one of my criteria. Overall decent job but 2 workmanship issues I discovered. price was in middle. higher than some others. lower than some others TJ sales guy was great. very knowledgeable and even discovered I didn't have soffit vents like I thought thus I did not have proper ventilation ( eves had siding with perforated vents however they were covered with plywood in attic no ventilation). because of this TJ pointed out I should not put ridge vents at peak ( they are designed to work with soffit vents). this was key in me picking JPC installation was done in 1 day. did great job protecting property and cleaning. staff very friendly. but at end of day I did walk around and questioned something regarding diverter installed in front of house. they did poor job in cutting flashing/ metal rake around diverted too much of gap. I questioned it and they attempted to put another piece over it but still had large gaps. they siliconed it assured me no water would penetrate. I accepted that initially but 4 days later after getting my gutters put in I noticed additional issues with the additional 2 nd piece of flashing they put over diverter 1) it was not a new fresh piece. it was recycles, dirty, had unused nail holes in it, and the edge was crinkled not straight edge. 2) the 2nd piece of additional flashing was not cut to fit the area. this area was above the gutter over over my front entry/door where there is a short side wall where garage connects to house. the flashing was 2-3" too long vertically. and it was hanging below the side of the garage by 2-3". not a tight fit cut/nailed to side of garage so there was huge open crevice 1" wide about 12" long along sidewall of garage. perfect storm for wasp/ bees nest. the contour of flashing used was stepped not flat which created a 2nd rectangular opening. I couldn't believe it was left this way I complained demanded correction of flashing before paying balance. JPC STEPPED UP sent Mike Chase to evaluate a week later who agreed condition was not acceptable they sent a specialist JOE 1 week later ( 2 weeks after job) to fix it and he apologized for how it was left. JOE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB EXCELLENT JOB FIXING IT to how I wanted it too look in the first place . LOOKS GREAT NOW In walking around with joe to check rest of house,, I noticed something about my 3 new louvers I didn't notice before. when initially discussed the intent was to space them equally:. 1 on each end near side of house nea gable vents, and 1 in middle of roof. however they didn't do that 1 of them was centered instead of placing near end of house one of gables. so they are not visually symmetric/ equidistant on the roof. looks weird if you are looking up from back of house, but most people wont notice. I can live with it but don't know why done that way. Got 25 year GAF golden warranty though which was important Steve O

His pricing was quite fair for this large job. They began work within a week and I was incredibly impressed with his team, how clean they kept the worksite (our front courtyard) and how they cleaned up after each day's work. They were organized, methodical and worked section by section around the entire roof. The men were all hard workers and very kind. The roof is now done to code (wasn't before), with new flashing and the proper protections under the cedar shingles for longevity. Could not be more thrilled.
