They really set you up to succeed from their online textbooks to online supplemental classes. The website is very organized and intuitively laid out. Price is reasonable. I am so pleased to write this review! My daughter, a senior in high school, first started going to…read moreKenisha last summer to prep for the SAT. I had been searching for a tutor that could help my daughter develop test-taking skills, as well as someone who would genuinely care about her overall success. Paying for tutoring was a huge investment for me and we had tried other tutors without much success. Kenisha was different, and I trusted her to get through to my daughter from the very beginning. She is warm, yet firm. Nurturing, yet holds students accountable. I especially appreciated how professional she was in all aspects of the business. Scheduling and payment was easy, she was always on time and prepared for my daughter's appointment, and she sent a review of the session and any homework assignments in a timely manner. She was honest and supportive about my daughters strengths and weaknesses, and worked with her through self-doubt. In the end, my daughter did very well on the SAT and was accepted to the college of her choice. The investment in tutoring with Kenisha was soooooo worth it. I HIGHLY recommend her if you are looking for an excellent SAT tutor that will go the extra mile to make your young person feel welcome and important. Priceless!

I had to write about the places we go for homework so I decide to share on the yelp because I look here many times when I want something fun to do and it helps my teacher find things to do to help me learn my English. We went to a festival at a park in Oakland. I think it is called Life Is Living festival. One of the things I like is cameras and pictures but I can not let my husband learn where I am my teacher does not take pictures of me. I see that she does not take many pictures because she says many people and children are not safe. She takes a little pictures and lets me take some and then we talk about them. The people at the festival are nice people. My teacher is helping me learn to use computers. I will write more at another lesson.

EDU Express has really been amazing for our twin girls, who are now in first grade…read more They offer services to help pick up at school and have curriculum that both reinforces their school work (to ensure good grades) and also educated them beyond, complex math and Mandarin Chinese (simplified and traditional) language included. They also are located in an area where they have some amazing after-school programs like dancing/ ballet, Kung-fu, Mathnasium, Coding classes, etc. -- our children truly love it there.

A retrospective review. My kids attended EDU before the pandemic…read more One reason I chose EDU was because of their afterschool pickup service from nearby schools. This is convenient for parents who are busy in the middle of the day. The front office staff, David and Marissa were always pleasant to the parents. I think they're a husband and wife team. The "teachers" ranged in experience and abilities. The chess teacher at the time was probably their best teacher. At the other end of the spectrum there were some teachers that were on the level of volunteer moms handing out pre-printed work sheets and just monitoring the class. At the time they were operating out of office spaces in Bishop Ranch. There was no real outdoor activity/play time. Cost was average to above average to the market rates in the area. They decorated their lobby with pennant flags from high profile universities but don't let this set your expectation. They won't turn your child into an Ivy leaguer. Your child's results may vary with retention of Mandarin Chinese learned at any afterschool school program. It heavily depends on usage outside of the classroom. Just a note to set realistic expectations.

It's so awesome to learn about their Disabilities Support Programs and Services and well as their Calworks and Basic needs programs. I found out they have a financial aid representative here every Monday until 4pm and counseling available by appointment! I love that all of these services and more are right in our pocket. I spoke with Heidi Santino, the Resource Specialist, and she sent me up with information about Delta's Food Pantry. Dr. Pablo Ortega, the Dean of the campus was so welcoming and he made me feel right at home. Jessica Torres the Student Programs Specialist helped me find the Financial Aid representative on campus and I was able to get help right away!
