I only had a small window I could go for a shoot and, even though I wasn't able to give her much notice and she's officially booked through August, she juggled things around to fit me in. I then received a tips email and a reminder email prior to the session. Her studio is quite inconspicuous on the outside. Once inside there's a pleasant sitting area, a makeover room and a lovely boudoir room. Theresa starts by reviewing the process step-by-step including photo purchase options. I really appreciated everything being clarified up front like that. Then off to the boudoir room (no hair/makeup for me this time) and again Theresa carefully reviewed the game plan. 3 wardrobe changes, 3 poses per wardrobe change, and varity within the pose (look up, look at me, look over your shoulder, that sort of thing). Theresa demonstrated the poses and had lots of patience with me as I did my best to replicate them :-) The hour flew by and the pace was fast, yet eveything was relaxed and we had fun along the way chitchatting about all sorts of stuff. She shared some raw results in her viewfinder which were outstanding. I'm a long way from photogenic but Theresa obviously knows just what to do to accenuate your positives, hide your negatives and make you look good. Looking at her work on her web site and Facebook page she spends a lot of painstaking time on retouching to ensure providing results that delight.

How is it that all the 5 star ratings are missing from the reviews and only the negative ones are showing up?? Hmmmm...a little biased? Now on the to the most important part, the actual review. I initially received a Groupon from my husband as a gift to go to Hawt Shots. I am not an insecure woman, however, I am a plus size woman and have had some seriously negative experiences with other photographers. In addition to that, my husband gave me the gift when I was 7 months pregnant with our miracle baby. Every preconceived notion I had about Theresa was blown away. I try not to judge a book by a cover, but my initial thoughts were, "What does this gorgeous, petite, woman, know about posing my pregnant plus size curves?" Boy would she prove me wrong. My photos were amazing and worth every penny. My first session was March 9, 2013. I would come back again to have photos done of my daughter and I together after she was born. Then again for Christmas 2013. I will be back again for our anniversary this year!! I love Theresa's work so much that I gladly volunteer to promote her work, to tell other woman about her, and hand out her cards. She loves her job and she loves helping women fulfill their beauty potential and empowering them. She was made for this job. She loves it and she loves the women she works for. So of course I went to Yelp for suggestions and didn't see a lot of options for photographers in…read moreour area so I created a job request and waited for experts to reach out. I was super stressed because the only day all kids were home from college & adults were available was Thanksgiving & Black Friday. Big order, I know. So, we were contacted by several excellent experts but none were available for the limited availability we had until Whitemoose Photography reached out and they had a photographer named Kapri who was available to come on Black Friday. There was an additional charge for coming on a holiday/Black Friday which I gladly paid and was so excited to finally get some good pictures of everyone together. The shoot was fun and Kapri brought a good energy and fit in well with all of us. Prior to Kapri coming I asked if she had a green screen or something to create different backgrounds for the senior pictures. She did not have a green screen but she brought a white sheet as a backdrop and said so she would bring a white backdrop so she could insert different backgrounds for the pictures and insert some fun backgrounds to our daughter's photos. We booked her Senior Pictures for the same day with Kapri. I asked before she left fter the shoot when we could see the pictures and was surprised to find out we needed to wait 14 days. Just to see the proofs. I let her know we would be traveling Dec 12-24 so if we could get them before the trip it would be something fun we could look at on the plane. Kapri sent a text 3 days before the promised delivery date asking if I had had time to review the pictures. Her email messages she sent never came through to my email or an alternate gmail account address I gave her. Thank goodness for the Yelp app because it allows you to send & receive messages as well as links to the pictures. When we finally got to see the pictures disappointment was the consensus of everyone that was in the pictures that saw them. I contacted Kapri and let her know that with her awesome energy and how much fun we had during the photo shoot we were all disappointed and surprised with the final product. Also all the senior pictures had a white background instead of different city scapes like we discussed and no filters were applied to any pictures. I don't know a lot about photography but I have several retired friends that are hobbyists. I asked for the digital pictures so I could send them to our friends so they could "fix" the lighting or angle or whatever was wrong with the pictures. So Kapri & I went around and around because I couldn't tell her what I didn't like about the pictures. Finally as a last ditch effort I sent her some fun family pj photos from a Google search I liked. After Kapri saw my vision her true talents came through! Using AI she was able to turn a sterile unflattering family picture into a warm holiday fun photo with all of our loved ones together! (The ages of everyone ranged from 18 to 84). Kapri said she forgot about adding the background for senior pictures and when she was done with those they were "fire" according to the younger members of our group photo and our daughter loved being able to take pictures at home instead of booking senior photos through the school photographer. I learned It's super important to communicate the spirit or inspiration of the photos. (The cap and gown photo never happened irl). Kapri was able to CREATE the cap & gown photo using other photos she took & a picture of the color of the cap & gown! I'm still gobsmacked by what a difference AI makes!
