This large antique had been handed down through the generations in my family and was a pair of paintings. The frame, which was wood and plaster, broke as did all of the intricate hand made small and tiny leaves that embellished the frame. I was heartbroken. My framer gave me the name of Jill Whitten at Whitten and Proctor. I took the frame there and they said that they could put it back together and recast all of the leaves and delicate features. I knew it would be a painstaking and costly job because of the labor and details involved, but I had to get it fixed for posterity. Jill and her expert team did a fabulous job and restored it to about 95% of what the original looked like. W&P is a fantastic place for those impossible art restoration/repair dilemmas.

The piece was damaged And perimeter restored it to next to original condition. Given that it was clay pottery Aubry's insistence on excellence is what restore the peace to the point that if you inspect it currently you would be quite skilled if you could find where the flaws had been that he repaired. Secondly, he seems to have inside and apparently himself collects very nice pieces, and I acquired from him a Gorman, which he then matted and framed and did an incredible job, simply incredible and enhanced the visual presentation of the peace. Lastly, he's in the process of putting back together a Fish kill from the green river, which was literally in hundreds of pieces that is a project in process right now and I'm awaiting the results in any case I would highly highly recommend this GALLERY both for batting and framing perhaps for acquisition of pieces and clearly for repair of pieces to museum quality

We gave them 11 rugs, some curtains, and other things that were damp in our home from a leak in order to restore them. After 3 months of calling them for the return of our items along with a couple of promised but missed appts by them, they finally brought some of our stuff back. Every single rug was damaged or destroyed by them. They admitted to destroying a couple of them but brought the rest of them back in shambles. Most if not all were completely faded and in considerably worse shape than when they left our home. Others had strings coming off of them and frayed endings, while others had holes in them. Another rug had dirt and grass on it somehow when it was unrolled. These were very expensive imported hand crafted rugs that they completely ruined. They are no longer usable. They are now expecting us to pay them for ruining our items and are keeping our rugs as well. Oh and they didn't even bother to show up with the curtains or other items, saying "they are running behind." What does that even mean? That our items are just sitting in a warehouse not being cleaned??? This is the absolute worst company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with and hope that you take my warning seriously. If you don't want your items destroyed, don't want to be talked to like you're a child or a burden to them, and don't want a huge mess at the end of your already messy situation with the repair of your home, then I would steer clear of this organization.
