So, I began my hunt for a roofing company. I ended up phoning about eight or so firms. I got their contact information from the Better Business Bureau because I was nervous about dealing with a contractor. Some of them said they were too busy to take on my small job, others didn't even bother calling me back. Two actually came over to look at the job and make a quote. The very first one was Himalaya. The sales person was young and personable and very straight forward about the job. He didn't just rattle off a sales pitch but explained clearly and patiently the work his company would do. The very next day he emailed me a quote. In fact, every time I needed to speak with him, or get more information, he responded promptly and explained everything in full. We eventually signed with Himalaya, and are very glad we did. The workers showed up early in the morning of the day they were due to start and within a short amount of time had the old roof off and the new one on. Most of the work was done the first day, but they sent the crew back for part of a second day to finish up and clean up. The cleanup was meticulous. They left no sign their work other than a solid, professionally installed roof. The final invoice matched the salesman's initial quote virtually to the penny. I am so pleased that I used this firm and would use them again without hesitation, but since I have only one roof, I'm passing this information on to you.

Fabulous Job!!! We wanted to get our garage floor repaired…read moreand epoxied, so looked online and got some quotes. The biggest factor that made us want to go with Scott (Royal Restoration) was that he is knowledgeable about cement issues. (as well as 5 star reviews) We soon found out, it's not as easy as getting a bucket of epoxy and throwing some flakes around! This was a big process with many steps involved, including equipment such as a diamond grinder, and other tools. This was not a one day job! Our garage floor had some moisture issues which required a vapour barrier. Thankfully we had Scott with cement knowledge to deal with it, or even be aware of it. Most of the time, two of Scott's workers were here, Rick and Matt, who were super polite, worked very hard, and got the job done. They were also conscientious and particular about their work; especially with the repairs and some tedious tasks that needed to be thoroughly done. Scott was very patient with me when it came to choosing the flake colours. He always answered any of my emails or calls and showed up when he said he would. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Scott and his crew with any projects we might have in the future. I recommend him to anyone; you won't be disappointed. He and his team member did a great job, especially repairing the walkway. While they were working, he noticed that I was ripping out carpet from my basement due to a flood and he offered to quote me on remediation. The quote he gave me outlined every step and was far more reasonable than the $25 to $30 thousand that I received from other companies. And then he pointed out that the gutters on my house don't need to be replaced, with new brackets, sealing and cleaning they would be good as new! He completed that for me yesterday. The basement project will be next month. Elmer not only did the jobs I hired him for, he also cleaned up EVERYTHING! The bags of discarded carpeting that I had put out, and, after I had landscapers in to clear all the nuisance trees and weeds from my yard, he cleared up all the debris left behind! A lot of people see a woman with white hair and a cane and get dollar signs in their eyes. Elmer does not! And he goes the extra mile for his clients. I can't recommend him enough!

I reached out to them to get this looked at and it's been over a year now and I'm still waiting for them to provide an analysis of what the issue is and what they're going to do about it. They've come to investigate, sent the fabricator to investigate, then took a sample off the roof to ship to the fabricator but there's no way it should take over a year and still not even have an analysis done, never mind a solution. I've sent an email or called them about once a month, trying not to pester them too much, but honestly, they haven't responded most of the time and I feel as if I'm being ghosted now.
