Mathnasium is very effective in improving at math. They give tests to see your level, they have a…read moregreat system, they cover every subject, and they have experienced instructors. Besides math, they also have a prized system where you complete pages and get currency in return that you may use to buy whatever you want. Mathnasium has helped me in math in significant ways. Before I joined Mathnasium, I was who you could call, "okay" at math. After I joined, I advanced over 2 grades above my average. While I'm not a great fan of arithmetic, I can say that every visit in Mathnasium, is a time well spent. - Bradley Alcibar

We regret having made the decision to enrol our daughter in the LMB reading program and it fell…read moresignificantly short of the representations and assurances that were given to us before signing up. When we met with the school, we were assured that this learning methodology WOULD work, unless there are behavioral or learning difficulties. In addition we were also told that our daughter would move up to a certain percentile having completed the program. My child was behind in reading comprehension but was seen as a great candidate for the LMB program. In fact, the woman we met with said, she had been working there for years and couldn't in good conscience ask parents to spend thousands of dollars on the curriculum unless we would see results! Unfortunately, after three months of significant time and money, my child's evaluation went from 4.9 grade level to a 5.0 grade level. And in fact her oral scores went down!? In hindsight, i was really worried and keen to set my daughter up for success, and didn't do enough research on this program. I wish i had worked with a personal tutor (which we are doing now and seems to be much more effective and affordable).

My son went from reading at a second grade level to six grade level in just eight weeks. The attention to detail is beyond any ones imagination, from the initial evaluation, day to day communication, the structure of your child's individualized plan.No short cuts here, you get much more than what you pay for. Who really makes it happen is Nick and the staff, he has put together a team of professionals that teach and motivate your child in a way that makes him happy to wake up and go to LMB everyday of the summer vacation. Best investment I have ever made. If you child is having difficulty, reading, spelling, math, etc. I highly recommend Lindamood Bell, Don't make the same mistake I made of hiring tutors for two years. Thanks again, Rafael

Some might say I'm a bit obsessive because my kindergartener (who has no academic problems at all)…read moreis a student at Huntington. I work within the school system and I see what these kids (even kindergarteners) are dealing with. The level of expectancy is outrageous and so I wanted my daughter to be ahead of the game. She started kindergarten not reading very much at all but she's in a good school with a great teacher and with the help of Huntington, she is now doing excellent! It amazes me how well she's advanced and she has only had about two months at Huntington! Huntington gives you monthly updates on your child(ren)'s progress and they will even come to your parent/teacher conferences and talk directly to the teacher about areas of concern so that they can focus more on those areas as well. She is beginning to tell time, she's reading things aloud wherever we go, she loves learning and doing homework and she loves Huntington. It's very expensive so I can't say that we will be here forever but we will definitely keep them on speed dial and will use them when needed.

From Ms. Gutierrez' detailed lesson plans, to her calm and inviting demeanor, I could not have asked for or wanted anything more for my daughter. This year, I have seen some firsts for my daughter. I have seen her choose to read a book without me telling her to do so. I've seen her truly engrossed in a book and developing a love of reading. I attribute these new developments to Ms. Gutierrez' great work with my daughter. She gave her skills to attack words rather than to cower and flee from them. My daughter has entered her new school year (and a new school) with a confidence in reading that she has never known. I owe a great thanks to Ms Gutierrez, as does Nicole, for such an incredible learning (and growing) experience this summer via her reading tutoring sessions." -- Annette Mother of Nicole , Age 8
