Conference room is meh - they claim they cleaned it overnight but no. Still trash in barrels and a dirty dish here for our second day
Danielle K.

I've stayed at this hotel twice for a training and it's only getting 3 stars for my first stay. This second time is awful. The hotel room on the second floor I had this time wasn't good. Stained floors, tub that didn't drain, loud fan in the bathroom that couldn't be turned off that you could hear from bed. No fridge. No clock!!! The first floor hotel room I had a few months ago I was impressed by. Had a fridge and microwave - 2 beds. The $16 breakfast buffet is not worth the money. We're using a conference room and they didn't clean it overnight as promised. We're booked here for 2 more trainings so I will be back but not looking forward to it.

First off the staff here were very accommodating and great. The owners of the hotel should be ashamed and embarrassed for the state of the rooms. This place could be a goldmine!! I feel bad for the staff because it's obvious the owners/management don't give a shit.

Mold buildup on the vents

Avoid at all costs, failed attempt at shuttered hotel reboot -Room smells strongly of mold/mildew -No secondary security lock on door -No hallway cameras or security for a VERY big and unsecured building -sheets not exactly clean -Fire alarm gets pulled by unsupervised kids roaming the hotel at 12:30am, alarms for an hour

Wall stains. Coffee or blood?

You get what you pay for. I needed a place to crash for a few nights while in the area. There was a deal on their website so I jumped at the low rate. The layout of this hotel is horrible. The rooms have 2 doors: the standard entrance and a sliding glass that goes to the center area. The pool and dining space are in the center. My room was on the first floor next to the pool. It was horrible. There were teens running around with a basketball and screaming. It went on for a bit before I called the front desk. I tried with my room's phone first. The line rang and rang but no one picked up. It wasn't until I called the main number on my cell that I got someone instantly. Strange. My room had a distinct smell. I would say the best way to describe it was "moldy". People had definitely smoked in that room. There were stains on the carpet and walls. Bathroom was ok. The staff were nice. Once I got in touch with the front they were quick to address the noise issues. No matter how good the deal is, I'd spend a few extra dollars for a better experience somewhere else.

Widow sill.

This place is a broken down dump. Room smells like mold, AC kinda works but full of mold, wall spackle crumbling around us. This should be $39 a night, not almost $400.

I found a great deal online for $52 - I ended up calling to book my reservation because I wanted to pick a specific room/area out by the pool. We were planning this mini trip to have some fun & get out of the house for Thanksgiving vacation. The guy on the phone was soooooo nice! I ended up tipping him when I got here as he was here in person the following day of booking. Very helpful, knowledgeable & professional. When you pull in, you're not quite sure it's a hotel.. the lot is hugeeee.. not much different when you walk in. I feel like there's sooooo much unnecessary space. It's overwhelming honestly- but I imagine hosting a wedding here would be beautiful. Room 164 was directly across from the pool entrance. Dude did good. The kids loved it! I wish there was some info on wi-fi & the restaurant "Against The Grain" that was inside. The hours online said 4-10 but it was not open for a drink :( but they DO sell beer/wine at the front desk which is nice. The pool is huge for a hotel pool. It's sectioned off which is great for the kiddos that can't swim. There was no jacuzzi as advertised. Breakfast was pretty expensive - definitely didn't eat $16 worth of food and the kids were $10 each - again.. overpriced. Anyways.. overall, I would come back here. The kids loved it! We slept comfortably. It's an older hotel from the 70's but a lot is updated.

Stay away! This hotel is not what it used to be....there are much better choices. Run down, and not as clean as it used to be.

This place is disgusting and should be condemned. The parking it is desolate and looks abandoned…read more We drove around twice to make sure it was actually open. We saw some people hanging around the back the evidently were staying there. The lobby area has had a small remodel and is promising when you walk in. The hotel was empty but my co-worker and I were at opposite ends of the convention style hotel. My first room was bottom floor facing outside. While walking to my room someone in an employee laundry room area was getting high and ran when I walked by. The weed smell didn't stop there. It smelled like someone had just gotten high in my room, wall paper was peeling and was just gross. I almost packed up and left then but called the front desk and asked to move. I told her the issues and I don't think she cared. She at least put me on the second floor a few halls away from my co-worker. It was slightly better I thought. We went to dinner and came back. I walked her to her room because she's younger and pregnant. The halls were filled with pot smell and we are pretty sure a section was dedicated to people living there. I get to my room and when I pulled back the covers the one bed was heavily stained. I thought gross but there's two beds. Well the second one was stained and the pillows too. It was too late to leave so we stayed. Her room was bad but not that bad. I don't believe my room was cleaned/changed after the last stay. Hair was everywhere in the bathroom. Just awful! I've stayed in some shady places but this one ranks up there maybe at the top. Also, I'd expect more out of HI. It may be a while before I can trust to stay with IGH again.

All the 1-star reviews are correct. The 4-5 star reviews are absurd. My stay was moved twice, the…read morefirst night, due to unhealthy mold (room 224), heat that did not work (room 244). Finally, we landed in room 264 where the heater fan would not shut off all night, but we were too tired to change our room again. We checked out the next morning and found a competitors hotel. I will contact Mansfield health department with photos of mold in 224 (gross) and 244 (moderate) and ask them to inspect the property. Mansfield Public Health Department Email Physical Address Town Hall, 1st floor 6 Park Row Mansfield, MA 02048 Phone: 508-261-7366 Fax: 508-261-7343 Please note my reviews on YELP are good and bad. I question the other reviewers that give holiday inn Mansfield 4-5 stars. It does not make sense. I have travelled to China 50 times in the last 10 years, staying many times in the Beijing holiday inn. Mansfield building is old and decrepit and a joke. Other holiday inns are fine. Being an IHG member for 15 years, I now think award points are a waste of time. From now on, my wife and I will book the hotel we can afford based on reviews. Points save 10% over time, but holiday inn would only give me 2 out of 3 days points back after 4 emails to hotel management and 40 min. on call with out-of-US IHG customer service. If you really want to have fun, calculate the "standard deviation" of the reviews on this property. There is no homogeneous pattern in the reviews.... and easy to figure out what is going on here. I urge YELP to investigate holiday inn is lower case of course.

I wanted to go…read moreto Massachusetts but there was no way I was spending all of that money to stay in the middle of Downtown Boston. This hotel was about 45 minutes from downtown Boston and in terms of distance, we thought it was great. There is no breakfast, just free coffee but there's plenty of food spots to check out within 5 minutes or less. Everyone was super friendly. They had a microwave downstairs as well but not in your room. However, if you needed anything.. toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. they did have it down there and happy to give you some! The hotel and room had some wore out spaces but whatever, I'm not there for the looks of the hotel. I really don't care what it looks like. The hotel smelled extremely clean and they are VERY harsh on smokers. I believe the fine is $200 which is okay with me because I could actually breathe at this hotel unlike some of the others I've been to. The real downsides for me was no fridge in the room and barely any shower pressure. I honestly can't complain about much else. I wanted a basic place to stay, a place to sleep and that's what I got. I do wish they had an indoor pool but it's only outdoors and obviously not opened in 20 degrees. I would definitely recommend it as long as your okay with no frills.
