I have sent them this email, to which they replied, "good luck in court". My email: "I have not been at this property for months and the rent is being maintained by my abusive ex wife, and her roommates The property in question is 2914 nw 4th Ave, cape coral fl, 33993 I have recently discovered that she took out a life insurance policy in my name and that she has attempted to harm me several times. I recently went there to procure my items and she gave me a can of soda. After She left the room, my step son warned me that she put something in it I immediately left without my belongings I have been trying to get my name off of the lease and I was denied and she has said to me, "you're stuck with me for at least another year. If you want out, your only way out will be in a bodybag" I do not feel safe here and cannot continue to be at this address. I want to move on with my life but I cannot due to this lease. I want to rid myself of any and all ties to her. I was told that I must reside on the property until the lease expires, in which time, my name will be remved since I hve filled out the notice to vacate. However I cannot do this. I am leaving the state as I do not feel safe here. She shows up to my work, and she has come to my new residence several times. She has almost cost me my current job on more than one occassion and has caused me to lose other jobs because she shows up and causes a scene I will be seeking a restraining order but cannot as we live together until the lease expires. The courts will not grant the petition. I BESEECH THEE. PLEASE SAVE ME FROM THIS ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP. I NEED OUT AND I AM IN FEAR FOR MY LIFE I have looked up the lease and see that I am named til the end of the next year, but my name can be removed from it. This is an emergency and can be done. There have been several documented instances of early lease termination due to domestic violence. But I am not asking to terminate the lease. I just want my name off of it so that the courts will grant me a restraining order. The rent has been and will continue to be paid for, regardless of my being there or being named on the lease. Please, remove me from this lease. The roommates and my ex wife have already agreed that they will sign a new lease without my name on it and continue to pay without me Please, I implore you This is literally a matter of life and death SHE TOOK OUT A LIFE INSURANCE POLICY IN MY NAME!!! PLEASE HELP ME" These people do not care about you. Only your money. Do not rent from them

Our experience with FirstKey Homes has unfortunately been far from positive. We communicated our…read moreintended move-in date clearly, but were told we had to move in almost a week earlier. We were relocating from out of state and could not arrive sooner. As a result, when we finally got there, FirstKey considered us already moved in for six days. This meant we had already passed their three-day inspection window and were unable to document the many issues we found upon arrival. The home was extremely dirty. We had to deep clean the entire place ourselves even though FirstKey insisted the home had already been cleaned. From there, the maintenance issues were nonstop. We had to submit repeated tickets for major problems such as: - AC not working, which took a week to repair in the middle of summer - Pool pump not functioning - Exterior faucet that would not shut off - A toilet leaking so badly that I ended up repairing it myself because they couldn't say when they would address it - Water heater not heating water - Garbage disposal not working - Dishwasher not attached and falling outward - A missing downspout from gutter - Mold appearing on the ceiling, which we were told to clean ourselves with bleach and water Later, when we decided to purchase a home, we contacted FirstKey to understand the move-out process and any costs. We were told our notice was more than sufficient and that aside from rent through our move-out date, which included the prorated rent, there would be no other charges. We confirmed this multiple times. After moving out, we followed up about our security deposit. We were told it had been released for payment and that it could take 30 to 45 days. Instead, we received a notice saying we owed nearly $3,500 for termination fees, utilities, and repairs they claimed were needed after move-out. They also kept our security deposit. We immediately disputed this, especially since we were told directly that we would not incur additional charges. FirstKey responded by saying they did not know who told us that, but that we still owed the full amount. When we asked them to review the recorded calls to verify what we were told, they refused. We were then told the charges would be sent to collections and that it could escalate to the county and even wage garnishment. Overall, it seems that regardless of what their representatives communicate to you, what is later claimed takes precedence. Our experience has been stressful, inconsistent, and extremely disappointing. No wonder they have class action suits against them.

Genuinely the worst customer service I've ever experienced at the office located on Metro Parkway…read morein Fort Myers, FL. The front desk employee was extremely rude and unprofessional. I came in to promote a business opportunity that would help bring awareness to their company and offer their realtors an easy way to earn additional income by referring friends to our apartment community. Unfortunately, I was met with complete disinterest and disrespect. There was no greeting--just "What can I help you with?" while she remained on her phone. When I tried to explain the purpose of my visit, she cut me off and said, "Okay, I'll tell them," without asking any questions or showing any engagement. When I requested a business card or contact information to follow up, she refused to provide anything and wouldn't allow me to speak with anyone else in the office. This interaction left a very poor impression of the company. Front desk staff are the first point of contact and should reflect professionalism and basic courtesy. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend addressing the behavior of this employee, as it directly impacts your company's image.

Is it really that simple to say a stranger owes you money? I have absolutely no signed documents in the past, present nor in the future with this fraudulently company. It's now time for you (the consumer) to be warned about this unprofessional criminal activity they engage in. Stay far away, you'll be sorry. Now I'll have to file a report with the BBB, possible police report too because I'm a victim of theft/fraud, Board of realty or FREK(I'll find out) and contact an attorney to remove and bring possible forth charges against them! CK doesn't investigate on your behalf, that's a scam too. Not one company~person can prove to me a signature of my business dealings or much less show proof I owe this money. Consumer Beware

Extremely Poor Property Management Experience - Fort Myers…read more Marshall Reddick did a very poor job managing my property in Fort Myers. I relocated to California for work (RTO) and left the property in August, giving Marshall Reddick full authorization to manage everything--including tenant placement and payment of utility bills. This was by far the most horrifying property management experience I've had, and I own properties managed in other states. Over several months, I was instructed to reduce my rent five separate times due to what they claimed was a "poor market," yet the company changed real estate agents 3-4 times without my consent. Each time, they failed to run the live Facebook marketing campaign they had explicitly promised. Most alarming, I was later informed that power to the property had been shut off for three weeks before Marshall Reddick notified me. I was told this occurred due to a lack of funds, and only after the prolonged outage was I informed of a potential microbial growth issue--a serious risk to the property that should have been addressed immediately. Despite providing a 30-day notice for non-performance, Marshall Reddick ignored the notice entirely and continued to demonstrate a complete lack of accountability, communication, and urgency. This experience showed a complete disregard for: Basic property oversight Timely communication Tenant placement execution Utility management Owner fiduciary responsibility I would strongly caution any property owner--especially those managing remotely--before trusting Marshall Reddick with their investment.
