I went to this salon to check on how much a highlight would cost. The woman at the front desk with short brown hair was extremely friendly. She told me it would be 90$. I immediately thought that was a good price and asked if they would be able to highlight my hair then or if I needed an appointment. She said the she personally couldn't take me now, but then asked one of the girls Amanda to do my hair. Amanda walked out and the first impression that I got was that I was bothering her . She asked me what I wanted to get done and didn't talk to me at all besides what color highlight do you want and asked if I wanted coffee. When she started to do my foils I felt like she was rushing and did them very quickly. She was always a few minutes late to realize my timer went off, while my color was setting, and had to be reminded a few times by another girl who worked there, who actually acted friendly towards me. When everything was said and done my highlight looked extremely blonde and she told me that she was going to put a toner in, which I figured would make it the Carmel color I picked out. She combed to toner in my hair and I saw a huge chuck of my hair come out onto the brush, she quickly removed it and put it in a towel, for no one to see. Once again she set her timer and left to let the toner develop. The same girl had to go get her again when the timer kept going off. She came back, washed my hair out then blow dried it. Once it was all dry, my highlights were much lighter then I wanted and my hair looked very blonde. I mentioned it to her nicely and she rudely said "I did the color you picked". Just for the record I picked a Carmel color and not bright blonde streaks. (Even if the color was right, the highlight were done very sloppy. I have a top section of my hair with absolutely no highlights at all and the my a huge steak of blonde on my bang. They are the choppiest foil highlights I have ever seen, with a great deal of my roots showing) I sat up and she said if it ended up to light that I could call and she could tone it down. The whole time I thought...maybe if you checked my hair when you were supposed to and not have a woman need to remind you every time it went off my hair wouldn't have been so blonde/unhealthy looking. The best part was when I went to pay I was charged 111$ and not the 90 I was told. Then Amanda came up and told me to have a great day, after her rude attitude and terrible job on my hair, like she expected a tip. Will definetly never come here again. Maybe she was having a bad day, I don't know, everyone else at the salon was super friendly and pleasant. The salon itself was very clean and professional looking. read more
