EnThaicement is a lovely restaurant, aesthetically speaking. They have big French windows opening into an outdoor area (which the waitresses climb through to get to the tables outside, which I think is cute), and palm plants everywhere, giving the place a rather exotic feel. They also have those Chinese lanterns hanging around the place, which makes it feel rather authentic (even though it's a Thai place, not Chinese, if you want to be pedantic about it).
The food is... passable. I did really like the Chicken Red Curry, even though it wasn't spicy enough for my liking.
The chilli-basil fried rice, whilst sounding delicious, left me unimpressed... but the parents loved it, so go figure.
But the worst was the Pad See Ew... I suppose I should've taken the name at face-value, because ew. It was terrible. Though that might be my fault, for not being familiar enough with thai food to know that that particular dish was flat-noodles instead of regular noodles.
The service was quite good, even though they took forever in getting the bill out to us, but they did offer to have our leftovers packed, so that was nice.
It's moderately pricey, nothing unaffordable. It's nice for a casual dinner if you're in the area. read more
