Parts at other places were even cheaper. They said the cost for the "high-quality" parts was $800. I spoke with many mechanics who said the parts from Autozone will work perfectly fine. Scott's couldn't tell me what brand they use for parts because the price gouging would expose them. The point is, be very careful when dealing with them because you WILL pay more than other shops for just the parts. Do your research and don't trust solely on positive reviews. They changedthe back brakes and said the other noise was "normal". Come to find out the alternator was bad, it was under warranty (we had to pay 50%). Got that done, and less than 3 weeks later, the alternator is bad again. Did the warranty place give us abad alternator? that we just paid $300 for out of pocket. Im so upset we have had this POS car for 2 mos. Its a shame we though highly of Frieda, and she in turns sells us a lemon. Im furious, we have changed front brakes, alternator, and have replaced the ECM. In two months we have spent $600 and this POS still needs a damn new alternator that works. DONT go to this place!!!

I will NEVER do business with this place again…read more The original experience was fair. The people were pleasant, but the "building" was a double wide trailer with a nasty bathroom. The sink was broken and dilapidated. Just not a good first impression. It honestly should have been my first red flag telling me to run. The sales persons told me the vehicle I was purchasing was well kept, it was his mother's car, no issues ever etc. Boy was I dooped. Maybe it was the fact I had a 3 month old with me, maybe I was sleep deprived, or maybe the car accident I was in causing the need for a different vehicle caused a lapse in judgement, but these guys really pulled the wool over my eyes. The horn worked by a bi-pass button. It looked like a house door bell. I looked past it because it worked. Not even a month off the lot I had to replace the valve cover gasket, valve rings, the head gasket had to be resurfaced and the water pump replaced. The lot paid for the majority of it because of the "extended warranty" they had on it. BUT his mechanic had to do the work. Five months later, the drive axle broke. We replaced that. A month later, the transmission went out. We had to rebuild the entire thing. We drove the van a whole two times before the serpentine belt busted. After replacing the serpentine belt, the very next day we were informed The Car Store rigged our fuel line. Now we are rushing to sell the biggest money pit we ever purchased to get a decent vehicle. Thank you The Car Store for putting a struggling family with a newborn child into an even worse financial situation for a quick buck. You people make me sick with your empty promises and terrible morals.

Some other issues and the check engine light popped up over the past few weeks so I decided to finally get it all checked out. I just moved to the area so I had no idea who to take it to. I called certified on a Friday and the car was in the shop by Monday. After two days they already had the safety and IDOD inspections done, and a full report on every issue the car had (with pictures and descriptions), and a link sent directly to my phone for me to view everything. I decided to take care of the necessary items and most of the recommended items on this list and by the end of the week I had the car back. And let's just say the car is so still when starting now that I didn't even think the car was on the first time I turned the ignition. Practically brand new! Something else came up yesterday and it's going back in today to get looked at. So responsive and very quick, high quality work - and it's all under warranty for 36,000 miles which is unheard of in my area of North Carolina.

These folks know their stuff, are professional, know these cars and probably most other ones inside and out. They also sponsor their local community, and have always been straightforward with me. Spent a couple of hours there today after asking them to upgrade the G8 to GM paddle shifters. They look great, like the factory installed them and make the car more fun the drive. Fruendly had not disclosed that the truck had been heavily modified with all the emissions equipment removed. in order to register it i had to spend $7000 to reinstall all the parts that had been removed. When i complained to Fruendly, they ignored all my complaints and avoided any sort of resolution. The auction site made money, Fruendly made money, and i got stuck with a truck i could not register or drive. I believe that Fruendly went through an auction site because they knew that the truck had too many issues to sell normally. Thanks a bunch.
