They helped with some wifi issues, brought me more detergent, and I even got the TV figured out this time. I wish Oregon would repave I84 to cut traffic noise, but then this place would be too perfect, I guess. May try a new rental with more of a water view next time. But if you want to be able to walk out and be at a great restaurant or brewery on 2 minutes, they can recommend a spot. Place was clean and tidy when I arrived. I'll rent with them again.

The stairs were kinda intimidating and that wasn't really apparent from the video or pics but once we got over that, the rest of the house was great - amazing panoramic views, and it comes with A/C that worked really well. The garbage disposal was broken but no biggie... and the house was pretty clean. Overall pretty happy with it and I would stay at least at this particular house again in a heartbeat!

Starts with the owners Gretchen and Taylor, they were so helpful even when we were doing our research before our trip to OR. When we finally got our rig, they went through an extensive orientation. Thanks a bunch to Taylor, Gretchen and even got to meet their youngest daughter. Beautiful family. We cannot wait to maybe purchase a van build from ROAMERICA.

If you're interested, RV spots have: Water, Electricity, Sewer We were here from Sunday to Tuesday, 8/2 to 8/4: This is a great place for people planning on parking their RVs and taking off during the day. It's not really a great place to stay and chill all day long. It's right next to the Hood River Bridge (although it's $2 to get across then another $2 to return). We were in site 6 and want to know what my view was? TRAFFIC, oh, and a beautiful gas station. I had to laugh. I picked this place because it was near a lot and it received pretty good reviews and honestly, the breweries were closed in Hood River due to COVID so technically could have bypassed this one. Speaking of COVID, the guy in the office nor the 2 customers inside wore masks. That did not make me happy. Please wear a mask! We do it for you, please do it for us. Basically, your campsite choices, if you have an RV, are traffic noise or train noise. Honestly, I would have preferred train noise. There was a spot open the entire time I was there and I asked if I could have it and was told no. Meh! I really didn't pay much since I received a discount with Good Sam membership. I paid under $40. so that's a plus. I guess I need to say the good because I have been cranky...blame it on the traffic noise. ;) - The place is clean. - You're supposed to have wifi access although I was never able to connect. - We had a decent size grass area with a picnic table. Considering the one next to us (#7?) didn't have any grass, this was a blessing. - We didn't have a dog but saw that they had a good size dog area. If you are tent camping they have a nice area that's under a bunch of trees. Granted, you are right next to the tent area. It looked so serene. Honestly, I told my husband that we should just bring our chairs and sleep there. Really, our site wasn't as noisy if we had our air conditioner on all night. ;) In the tent grass area there is a horseshoe pit. Yes, I played and wasn't that terrible. Just try and get deeper into the park and not on the street near the entrance. It will probably make a difference.

Who closes their business at 2:30 in the afternoon?? Well, the owner came out and was so rude. She couldn't give us the time of day, essentially saying "tough luck" and that she had no other spots available, even though there were many open spots (two of which were right next to us- so, the same size spaces). After another hour of attempting to level, we were finally able to get level so that we could put our slides out. We had prepaid the spot and were, therefore not willing to just leave and forget this place and the rude owner. Needless to say, we woke up in the morning to those same other spaces all open. The park itself was clean and nice, but we will not return to give this woman our business! NOTE: This park is NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY due to the sloped spaces- or "friendly" at all!!!

I selected Lightwell for the convenience to the brewery, which was only a few blocks away. The only drawback I found for this hotel was the parking situation. But fortunately for us since it was a holiday, street parking was all free (and close!)! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Loved the lobby vibes and decor. Felt traditional and historical, but upscale. Our room wasn't ready (we arrived around noon) but they did take our bags for safe keeping while we were out there enjoying the town. (When we came back to the hotel later that evening, they were already in the room which was nice!) The rooms are small, but that's not a dealbreaker for us. It was cozy and nicely updated. I loved the green paint color!!! Moody but modern! The spa was so quiet and peaceful. I loved the fact that the spa was adults only. Also loved having robes available to wear! It was all lovely! There weren't any services available by the time we got back. I wasn't expecting any services since we were only there for one night, but we definitely enjoyed our time at the spa and sauna. I wished they would allow guests to bring beverages down (in the plastic wine glasses supplied in the room). A beer in the spa would've been the perfect ending to the day! I highly recommend Lightwell. We really enjoyed our time there and will definitely be back!
