TL;DR: Spot on service, worked very hard to make a perfect experience. Our wedding was scheduled for a Saturday, and we found out we are to expect 10-18 inches of snow. The hatchback wasn't going to cut it. Enterprise was able to promise a 4x4, and they had one when we got here! I don't consider myself a snob, but I wasn't excited for the Dodge Journey they had for me. Obviously I was renting a 4x4, not a specific car, but Brendan checked around and was able to get me into a Ram. Not only was this 4x4 much more capable in the snow, and larger for clean up, it was brand new with 600 miles on it. En route to IN from NY, my car needed emergency repairs near Sandusky, OH that required leaving the car for two days. Enterprise picked us up at the repair shop and had us back on the road within 30 minutes of my original panicked phone call. When returning the car, the Enterprise associate allowed us to complete the drop off at least 30 min before they were officially open for the day. Everyone we encountered was efficient, kind, and very cheerful. The car was fantastic at a reasonable price. If we had to have an emergency, Enterprise in Sandusky made it as painless as possible. read more

UPDATE: JUST CALLED ANOTHER ENTERPRISE AND GUESS WHAT!?! THERE WAS NO CANCELATION ON THE RESERVATION NUMBER WE GAVE THEM!! I'm LIVID!! --------------- This place is RIDICULOUS!!! They continually SCREW MY HUSBAND OVER! I'm sitting in the parking lot waiting for them to come up with a truck! They had one set up and had a confirmation number and pickup time. NOW THEY ARE CLAIMING HE CANCELED! BULLSHIT! He never called. I want them to look through their records and show me where he called them to cancel! Tthere is NO CALL RECORD! ARE YOU KIDDING!? Last time they screwed him over too, gave his truck that HE RESERVED away! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS CRAP AND IF I COULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS I WOULD! I am absolutely disgusted! I have been trying to get this situation that was beyond my control due to lack of communication between companies resolve for about 2-3 weeks now. Now that the responsible party has finally decided to step up can someone from Enterprise please fax Allstate insurance company the information that I have been calling all day to try and get so your company can get this 4 year old bill taken care yet no one that I talk to has access to the invoice. I want to say that Tyler is one fantastic employee (or manager, I forgot to ask,) I showed up 15 minutes before closing in search of a truck so I could take home some new furniture. He took great care of me and hooked me up with a very nice Chevy Silverado. He went above and beyond with his customer service, which was the first time I have had this kind of experience at Enterprise (this was my first time dealing with the Sandusky location, but the Amherst location could really learn a thing or two from Tyler.) Extremely rude, unprofessional and no problem solving potential especially when you need it the most. Sandusky is unlucky to just have Enterprise as a commercial car rental and Cleveland Airport is too far. Despite giving these guys a 1 star I will be picking up my rental cars fe here till we have a better one. read more

In the past I have always had above average experiences with Enterprise when renting a vehicle for trips as well as insurance claims. Recently, I had to rent a car from this location and it was by far the worst experience that I have ever had with this company. I am giving it two stars because some of the staff was just as friendly as other locations in other cities and states that I have rented from. Others where a little distracted and rude; for example asking me a question and while I was in the midst of my response another employee walked up and proceeded to enter into a conversation with the man I was answering. He turned his attention immediately to them and completely cut me off. That was strike one, but I'm easy going and the other staff members, one of whom was aware of what had just happened, were very friendly, so I just blew it off. During the week that I had the vehicle I had to return one vehicle to exchange it for another. While doing so I discovered a mistake with my insurance and called them to get it straightened out. The man in charge, I'm assuming he was the manager at Enterprise, refused to work with my insurance or to even honor something that I had been told by another employee when I picked up the first rental a couple of days earlier. He made it very clear that they were a busy office and that they have cars moving constantly on the lot, which I took to mean that he did not care about helping me and my insurance company correct the problem until we could resolve it. He also told me that he did not believe that my insurance company would correct the problem and that I would basically be out of luck (while grinning). He said that he would be shocked if they did anything. Until Progressive could fix the problem, I ended up renting another vehicle that one of the nicer employees told me previously was covered by my policy. The man who had cut me off earlier told me that I would be paying over $2 a day for taxes. I just took the car because I had been there for over an hour at this point and was really upset. I had no vehicle there of my own, so until I got the situation figured out I was stuck. Well, my insurance straightened things out, like they always do (Progressive is great), and told Enterprise (twice) that they were covering everything and not to charge me anything. Needless to say they charged me anyway (about $28) by mistake, so now I'm waiting for that refund. I know that it's not much money, and that wasn't the problem. The problem for me was that they didn't care at all that I was experiencing a stressful situation and were not willing to do anything to help make it right, and they have a contract with my insurance. Normally, Enterprise has immediately stepped in to work with either me or my insurance company and goes above and beyond to help. This office does not care to do that. I will not rent from this location again. The employees who were nice and caring were wonderful. In my opinion, the lady who helped me through most of this, I believe Julie was her name, should be managing that office. Just my opinion. She just seems to carry the Enterprise attitude that I have experienced in the past better than the guy did. There was another man, and younger girl who were also very nice. I truly believe that if that one man had not been there, that the other staff members would have worked with me and gotten me out of there without all of the stress. read more

I cannot speak highly enough about the staff at this Enterprise location. I rented through them countless times over the past seven months and every single time they were able to provide excellent service. They are a location that deals with traffic much higher than their size/staffing should, but they still manage to handle themselves in an orderly and efficient manner. They are very accommodating to any requests and needs that you might have. For example, I was upgraded to an SUV due to limited inventory on my reserved full-size car, and when I mentioned I didn't want a certain Jeep, Stephanie let me walk out and choose between 3 other different cars to ensure we would be happy with our rental. John, Laura, and Stephanie are all very friendly and personable. Every time I returned I was greeted by my first name without them even looking at my reservation.
