I picked up a rental car in Toronto that had some issues (that probably would have been apparently…read moreimmediately if I knew anything about cars or drove ever). Luckily, it became obvious that something was wrong when we were near the St John airport, so I made a detour. The staff at the counter were super friendly and made swapping it out simple. The only hiccup was that they were really pushing me to take a minivan. It took a little convincing to get them to understand that it wasn't that I was embarrassed to drive a minivan (their interpretation of why I wanted a different car). I haven't had a car in over a decade and rent clown cars and there was no way I could drive (or parallel park!) a minivan once I got to Boston and Ptown. Then they suddenly were able to locate a smaller car for me, thankfully.

Hands up service and I can't give you my rental are not customer service focused attributes for a car dealer rental business. My son looked on YouTube and Reddit to find a fix. He found it. The lack of professionalism at the dealer surprised me. No vans in Yarmouth and this province is high with regard to tourism. So shame on the Enterprise kiosk and the dealership. Imagine paying for a person to run the kiosk and then have no cars to rent or replace. Total JOKE. If you rent it's your decision to use the parking brake but be careful of the parking brake as it may end up costing you big bucks.

That package includes $495 worth of floor mats, trunk liner and mud flaps, and apparently $505 to insert the floor mats and screw on some flaps. We booked the car rental prior to starting our cruise holiday but many companies were already booked up. Unfortunately the only Dollar car rental location in Saint John is at the airport and we were lucky enough to get a ride to get our rental. The booth was located just inside the small airport under the Hertz sign. I did notice the Dollar logo on the back wall. The lady working greeted us and went on her way to find our booking which was for a mid-size vehicle. We were discussing our plans for the day; she was very attentive and knew there was a group of us using the vehicle so she offered us a van! It was big enough to hold seven of us and was perfect. She made our day because now we didn't need to take two vehicles!! She explained the rental information and if we returned the van after closing to use the key box which was on the counter. The rate we were charged was good, the van was newer (only 19,000 km) and she was very helpful. We would recommend this company for anyone needing a car rental here.

If I could rate lower, I would…read more Two separate experiences with this Halifax Kempt Road, and a third experience with Saint John, Rothesay Avenue in New Brunswick- all horrible experiences. I rented a car in July 2020, after returning the vehicle, I did not receive my $200 deposit back. After a month I had to call to get this back (even though it's supposed to be 3-10 business days. They finally sent me my $200. In September I rented another car from Halifax, and another car 1 week later from Saint John. Same thing, two months later, no money received back for either car. $400 they have at this point. On top of that, when I rented the car from Halifax in September, they gave me a faulty vehicle and didn't do an outside inspection with me. My trip should have taken 4.5 hours, it ended up being 7.5 due to the fact the tire continued to lose pressure, and they refused to swap out a car for me along the way- Amherst, Moncton, Fredericton- you get the idea. Can you imagine driving on the highway and needing to stop at EVERY exit to find a gas station and pump up the tire? I can promise you it was NOT fun and this company took ZERO ownership. You may think Enterprise is great because they do cash deposits, take it from me- I've just purchased a new car and it'll be a hell of a lot cheaper to do that than to ever rent a car from these crooks.
