I give ZERO stars. Looks like lots of folks on yelp have had my same experience. I made a reservation with Enterprise a week in advance for a visit with a customer. We flew into Ruston, LA and got an Uber to the Enterprise office because they inspired very little confidence when I asked them to schedule a pickup from the airport. When I got to Enterprise, they didn't have any cars available. Whatever....I figured I would just Uber to the hotel and Uber back once it was ready. I stayed 2 nights and called Enterprise multiple times and NEVER got a car. Huge embarrassment with my customer. That's the short version. Now, I've called corporate multiple times to file a complaint and have yet to receive a response. They just don't care AT ALL. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. read more

Absolutely terrible service! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! How can you be a rental car company and not have any RENTAL CARS? Hours worth of delays just to receive a rental with zero explanations or any attempt to help fix the situation is not how you treat any paying customers. read more

These guys have always taken care of me. I am local to Ruston but do a lot of traveling that require me to rent once to twice a month. Twice within the past 10 days I've reserved vehicles then driven 45 minutes to pick up. Both times I have been within sight of the lot only to have some drone call me to say, "We don't have any cars. If you come back in the morning, we might have something then..." Unacceptable. Avoid Enterprise at all cost. read more

I have to say, I went through a tornado, and this Enterprise location made my life so much easier. I was assisted with my rental car, that my Insurance Company paid for, with not one problem. The staff ensured my Insurance Company was kept up to date. They made the process so smooth and even helped me when I left my tablet in the car, I was picked up in. Joe, at Enterprise, handled my claim, and answered every question and call. He was amazing! I hope Enterprise knows the kinda of Employees they have at the Ruston, Louisiana location. If I could give them a zero I would! They gave me a car Friday that the transmission was bad, tires bad, convertible top & windows did not work close properly. Go in today to exchange the car out & I asked him what was the odor in the car because it smelled like weed with deodorizer mixed in the funk. Joe assured me that it was the spray they used to clean the vehicles for COVID. Driving the car home the smell gets worse & of course they are closed. I will not use them again. read more

Unreliable and unprofessional. Booked well in advance for a rental while my car was in shop. Arrived less than 5 minutes late and was told the car I'd booked was not available because I was late. That was, of course, a lie. There was no rental vehicle on the lot. Then was told car would be available by afternoon; office would call, bring it to my home. I reorganized schedule with that in mind. No call. No car. Next morning, I checked again. No. And absence of vehicle for a confirmed booking seemed routine to the agent, nothing to apologize for. I explained I had appointments. Too bad, no car. By then, I realized there would NEVER be a car. Called Ruston Hertz agency, got professional manager who sent driver to my home to pick me up immediately. And yes, a driver arrived! In 15 minutes, I left the agency in a good rental. Moreover, you have no access to local office, must go through central number. I sat listening to their maddening music for 45 minutes when I called to book. AVOID ENTERPRISE. Don't trust them. In fact, I've wondered if they are a front for some other business. Don't think I've ever had such a bad commercial experience. read more

This is as low as you can get. Do not rent from these people. I made a reservation on 3/25/21 for a car on 4/8/21. I confirmed it 2 days before. But when we walked in the woman simply told me they didn't have a car for me. Like it was nothing. She said she'd tried to call earlier to tell me they didn't have one. I've never heard the number she called. I've been doing business with them for years. They have my number. I had an important drs. app. to get to. I was depending on that car. She just stood there blank face,just didn't give a s___t. There were cars out there. I told her we only needed it for a few hours. It would be back by the end of the day. Nothing. No you can not depend on these people to have a car for you. A confirmation means nothing to them. read more

I've had a borderline traumatic experience with this enterprise. I reserved my car a little over a week in advance for a very important event that I've been waiting for, for weeks. Thirty mins to pickup i get a call saying they don't have my car or any car for me, so I'm scrambling to find a rental place to rent me a car..i called over 10 different places, which had no available vehicles and this has caused me much distress.. Long story short, I'm missing this very important event that i made so many arrangements for, only to, in the end, not be able to go, because enterprise flaked on my reservation. Made reservations twice at this place, first time waited 2 hours for vehicle just to be told that no rental cars were available after being called to come to the location. Second time, a lady that said she was a manager which she had no demeanor or matters as one and was dressed as if she just got out the bed and put on anything which is unprofessional as a manger, she asked me illiterate questions after telling her I did have a reservation, wouldn't take valid information pulled up on my phone and wanted me to go to the library to print the information off after another manager said they would take the online information, she stated well I'm not taking it so go to the library and print it off! Whoever she is needs to be retrained, demoted and learn to be professional! read more

I rent vehicles quite often for both work and personal reasons. Most of these are through Enterprise Rent-A Car locations around the country b/c I have an account with them. As someone who HAS rented from the Ruston Enterprise Rent-A-Car location several times, I can honestly say, I absolutely LOVE THE NEW STAFF! A wonderful group of dedicated young people who seem very eager to please their customers! They are courteous, professional, and have great customer service skills. People don't seem to realize that having national or international chains investing in Ruston adds tax revenue, which BENEFITS OUR COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE! These companies are providing both JOBS and a SERVICE to our area. Having a location, large or small, in a community IS A CONVENIENCE, which prevents us from having to drive all the way out to Monroe or Shreveport, for the most part. I keep seeing reviews which make me question the INTELLECT of some of these other car renters! Why is it incomprehensible that a SMALLER location will NOT have as many vehicles as a larger location? Also, not everyone returns a vehicle in a timely fashion. This PREVENTS the NEXT renter from picking up THEIR RENTAL...whether they have a "reservation" or NOT, because it has NOT BEEN RETURNED. Small offices rely HEAVILY on the return of the vehicles for their locations, unlike their larger counterparts. I, myself, was actually IN the Ruston Enterprise office two months ago, waiting for someone to return a vehicle for which I DID have a reservation, when the person called to say THEY were extending their renting time. (My apologies, but I've forgotten the young lady's name, maybe Ms. Flores or Ms. Torres??) but the pretty Hispanic young lady, in her perhaps, early 20's,(?) was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! She had a pleasant, courteous and professional attitude and seemed genuinely concerned when the caller was NOT able to return the car as promised so that I could rent it. She she didn't have another midsized vehicle at her location, so she asked if I'd like to change the size of my reserved car or go to a different location? I opted to go to the Monroe Airport location. Ms. Flores/Torres, REPEATEDLY APOLOGIZED, which was wholly unnecessary, while she worked tirelessly trying to address my situation. She called to ensure they actually had my specified vehicle. She then asked them to hold the vehicle FOR ME, transferred my reservation to Monroe and applied, not only my original discounts, but another employee, a very personable, professional and courteous young white guy, also perhaps in his 20's, (I think his name was either Tyler or Taylor??), introduced himself as the manager, and said he would also add an additional discount for my inconvenience. Once I arrived at the Monroe location and got my car, Ms. Flores/Torres called me PERSONALLY, to ensure I was satisfied. Why are people blaming a small town rental location? All of these negative comments, confusion and STUPIDITY is WHY businesses do NOT want to invest and grow within smaller communities. Again, I really liked the service, the professional staff, the courteous and professional manner in which the young lady and her manager (I think Miss Torres or Flores? and Tyler/Taylor?) handled the situation. Do NOT discourage businesses, large or small, from building, growing, hiring and providing conveniences in our community with these negative reviews. When you rent from a particular location THEY ALWAYS have business cards on the counter or desks with the LOCAL NUMBER ON THEM. Calling ahead can prevent LOTS of frustration. read more

Update: location is much better than it used to be. Seem to have more staff that pay attention to reservations. Reservations are actually held instead of being given away. Also seem to consistently have 12-15 passenger vans in stock. read more

What a JOKE! Scheduled a truck rental because mine was going into the shop after a guy hit me. Showed up, they had NO trucks and tried to put me in a min-van. I explained to them I needed a truck for work. They "checked" all of north LA and south Arkansas and no trucks. Nothing they can do. Lady behind the front desk. NIKKI JOHNSON was totally rude and inappropriate. There were SEVERAL trucks in the lot and even larger SUV's like a suburban but she told me they were "reserved" or "unrentable". Cash was stolen out of my car when management drove the car away from me to "vacuum my car out".

I don't want to be rude but I rented an SUV in advance only to get there and wait for nearly two and a half hours. I told the lady that I could no longer wait that I had to go. She informed me that the SUV was being serviced and had a nail in the tire. So for free she upgraded me to a van and told me that I could return it the same time I picked it up. Well on the day it was due to be returned. I got a call from Enterprise stating the car was due back at 1 p.m. and I was going to be charged extra for not having it back. I told the lady the vehicle was not picked up until after 3 p.m. and I was told that I could have it back at that time. It was no use arguing because the lady who called me was the same lady who told me I could return it later due to the inconvenience of waiting. read more

Due to the extensive travel required for my job, I normally have to rent vehicles weekly/bi-weekly. When I first started renting vehicles I called around to different branches to see exactly what I needed to do and how everything would work. The Ruston branch isn't the closes to me, but they were the most helpful (One branch even hung up on me). Every since then I have used the Ruston branch, and I have never had a problem. They are always helpful, friendly and if a situation occurs, they always have a plan B on standby. I normally reserve my vehicle in advance on-line, and it is ready when I arrive. Yes, on a few occasions I have had to wait for a little while, but that is because they were crazy busy & short handed. It was not because they were sitting around and doing nothing. They are always working hard with a smile on their face. The Ruston branch may not be the closes option for me, but it is the one I will continue to use. read more
