The customer service is some of the worst I have ever seen. I was constantly playing phone tag with Lynn over the course of our rental there. I would leave messages for her and not get a response. I would send her emails and not get a response. I had even emailed the business owner about my frustration with the communication but did not hear back. The receptionist also has no follow through. Throughout our time with this company we had several unanswered maintenance requests chief among were the bats or squirrels that had taken up residence in our chimney. We rented the property without seeing it because of a far geographical move. The photos they posted of the property are outdated and do not show its current wear or dinginess. We moved into a menagerie of dead bugs on the living room carpet, mold on the bathroom ceilings, and refuse left in the toilets. Hardly move in ready and they offered no help to get it into move in condition. When we alerted Lynn to a wasp infestation at the time of move in her response was: "Oh yeah, that house does have a wasp problem." The homeowner sent their son's friend with a can of Raid. Truly not the help we were hoping for. We vacated the property before our lease was up because of a new job. I had a friend go and check in on the house (the backdoor uses a keypad to gain entrance), and he reported that on 7/14/22 there were lights left on in the house and the air conditioning was on. When we moved out the only thing that should have been drawing electricity was the refrigerator. When I emailed Lynn to ask why lights and the AC were on, Lynn said that the air conditioner had to be left on. When I responded to ask where in our lease it said the AC needed to be left on, she never responded. I also asked that if it did need to remain on, per our lease, could it be set to 80 degrees. The house is so big that if it is below 74 degrees the air conditioner runs constantly. We were not pleased at having to pay for the house's electric bill that we did not generate. Before moving out we emailed Lynn to let her know we were leaving a power washer on the back patio because there was an active bird's nest built in it. We called animal control and were informed that in the state of LA it is illegal to move an active nest. We let Lynn know on 6/25/22 and she never responded. When my colleague went to check the house on reported that the power washer was already removed. Someone had moved it before our lease was up. It had been our plan to have someone pick it up before the end of July once the eggs were hatched, so it is frustrating that we received this charge.

The staff are unprofessional and they have upcharged me on multiple occasions due to mistakes on their end. The areas outside of the apartment unit are riddled with bugs and bird feces. It took them four months to clean this. Their custodial staff entered my apartment while I was on vacation to fix a light and instead of using a ladder, the individual, (who management refuses to reveal!), instead stepped on my bed with his boots and was dumb enough to actually leave the footprint. I have received no apology for this. The kicker this week was when I expressed all my concerns again, management threatened me by saying she would call the police if I decided to communicate in person any further. I am not leaving this place silently. This property is managed by Fairfield Property Management See photos of "luxury living" Footprint of a BOOT on my bed and the area outside my apartment unit

The grounds are not regularly kept up; grass is frequently overgrown, breezeways are always filthy, and newly moved in apartments (like the one I moved into) appear as if they were never properly cleaned after the previous tenants moved out. Additionally, anytime you have a noise complaint, NOTHING is done. I have lived here nearly 1 year and have never complained of anything until recently when a new tenant moved in above me. They constantly make noise and even after countless times of reaching out to management, nothing has been done. You should choose to live anywhere else over living here at North Village!

No serious party problems like at University Crossing, responsive staff unlike everywhere else, kept very clean unlike the Rev. I totally recommend it. Plus, its right next to a beautiful park. My doctor's office responds slower than this place. Put in a maintenance request and you'll see them within a few days! They have multiple front office workers and Luxor boxes to pick up your packages whenever. Unless you like the walk only come here if you can drive, use an electric scooter or carpool. I don't drive, and it's about a 40 min walk to campus. I like walking through and you won't be the only walking commuter. It is a reasonable route with an electric scooter, bike or something else and they have racks for them. The staff makes all the difference. Multiple front desk staff, regular emails, easy to navigate portal. I can totally vouch for this place compared to University Crossing or the Rev where I have lived.

I have documented mold and water damage in my unit since May, and despite repeated notifications, management has failed to resolve the issue. I have been displaced from my leased apartment since September, with no access to the unit I am paying for. Management continues to withhold compensation until "repairs are complete," even though their repeated delays are the direct cause of the ongoing habitability issues. The property manager refuses to provide written confirmation regarding the presence or absence of mold. When I requested mold-testing documentation, I was informed that the results could not be released without regional approval -- yet the regional manager has been completely unresponsive for over two months. My cameras confirm that no certified mold specialist has entered the unit, contradicting management's claim that testing occurred. I was temporarily placed in a unit that had a broken window that did not lock, shattered glass on the ground, and nighttime disturbances involving individuals banging on the window, creating an unsafe environment. The unit was never properly cleaned or secured before placing me in it. Management has also disclosed personal information to other tenants without my consent, violating basic privacy standards. Staff communication is hostile, inconsistent, and dismissive, and emails and phone calls are routinely ignored. Mail pickup is restricted to unreasonable hours, creating additional barriers for residents. I paid $250 for a unit transfer after only two months of occupancy; no repainting occurred, no carpet was steamed, and only minimal cleaning was performed. That unit is now uninhabitable due to water damage and mold, and management still refuses responsibility. This complex has repeatedly shown a pattern of negligence, misrepresentation, and unsafe practices. Do not lease here.

Personally wouldn't want to live there again. WOULD NOT recommend it if you're a light sleeper, but if you can deal with the "cheap/nasty" feel of them they're a solid choice.

When I moved in, we gave them a notice 2 weeks prior to moving in to make sure the apartment was cleaned. When we got to the apartment to move in, the apartment was disgusting, the floors/carpet were dirty, the wall behind the fridge was nasty, the dishwasher was broken (the motor stopped working), the ice machine was broken, and there were holes in the wall from the last residents. Obviously they haven't come by to clean the apartment before me moved in. So, I called to have someone come over to clean the carpets before we sat our furniture on the floor, which they should have done prior to this date. Finally after about 4 hours of waiting for someone to come clean the carpet they finally arrived. Since there was no hot water, they had to clean them with cold water which afterwards were still dirty. The people at Steeple's Glen were really nice until you gave them your deposit and first months rent. Afterwards, they were a pain to deal with to getting anything accomplished at the apartment. AFter we moved in, we called several times for them to come look at our dishwasher. The man came and said he fixed it but never worked. So, we called again finally they replaced it with a new dishwasher after we had bugged them for several months. Then, we had them to come give us a ice maker because ours was not working. It took several weeks for them to come replace it. Once we had ice, we noticed there were bugs in the ice, freezer, and fridge. So, we called to have them come clean behind the fridge which also took several months. The wall behind the fridge was 2 inches thick in dirt, dust, and bugs. When they came to clean it, the people they hire to work for the apartment complex only swept behind the fridge. They never used any water or soap to clean. Once we finally got that fixed, they sent us a letter saying that NO dogs were allowed in the apartments ,which we knew that from the beginning, and that we had 30 days to remove them or further action would be taken place. We had NO dogs in our apartment. My assumption was that they were mad at us for calling them so much to fix everything in our apartment so they tried to scare us. Nothing further with that happened. They have on their website that they have dryers and washers that come with the apartment. They make it sound so nice but our dryer had no lent remover and it also left burnt marks on all of our clothes. I ended up having to throw away alot of clothes because for the longest time, I didnt know what it was. Then after everything settled down, it was around April. Our air conditioning went out 3 times in 2 months. Around about the end of our lease, our air condtioning started leaking. The ceiling was destroyed along with the carpet that my roomate had on the floor, due to the water leaking from the ceiling. During our lease at some point, everytime it rained, the wall around the door was rotted more and more. On the website, it says how they have alarms. The alarms in several of the apartments that my friends were living in did not work along with ours. When we moved in, the fire detectors were out of batteries so they kept beeping. We had to go buy new batteries. During our stay, the air conditioner filter was only changed 2 times in a year only because we bugged them about changing it. My stay at Steeple's Glen apartment were horrible. I would not recommend them to ANYONE!! So, at the end of our lease I called at the end of April to make sure when our lease ran out. We could not find our lease so I asked her if there was anything we needed to do prior to moving out. The lady on the phone told me I didnt need to do anything. After we moved out at the end of May, I called asking about our deposit that was $250 a piece. There were 4 of us in the apartment. They told me that our deposits would be sent at the end of June. I gave them my address TWICE to make sure they had it correct. It is now July 14, 2009. I have no deposit so I called today to see where it was. They told me that since I didnt send a letter 30 days prior to moving out, I would loose my deposit. My lease was out May 30, 2009. I did not understand because I specifically asked the lady if there was anything I needed to do because I couldnt find my lease in writing. So, now I do not have a deposit because they are keeping ALL $1000 dollars of it. The lady on the phone was very rude. Her name was Heather. I do not recommend this place to ANYONE. There are other nicer apartments with less complications that you can rent around Ruston, Louisiana. This place is very cheap but, I guess you get what you pay for.
