I don't know what's happened at this location, but I would guess a change in management. They used to be reliable, as I have rented from them about 3 times when my car was in the shop. But the last 2 times we've tried to rent from them, it has gone poorly. In July, we reserved a full-sized SUV for a family vacation. On the day we went to pick up the vehicle, they called to say all they had was a small SUV. For 4 adults and a child in a car seat going on a road trip, this would not suffice. We ended up having to go to Cape Girardeau to get a vehicle. A 3 hour round trip in the wrong direction that delayed our trip by half a day, causing us to lose valuable sight-seeing time. Then, this week, I reserved a truck to use in a parade. The day I'm supposed to pick it up they call to tell me all they have is a truck with a recall on it that they can't legally rent out. Then what was it doing on the road in the first place?! Why don't they get a truck from somewhere else? They just sit there waiting for vehicles to fall from the sky like pennies from heaven and if the wrong thing falls, oh well, sucks to be you. This is no way to run a business. The parade was rain-delayed and I debated trying again, but I know there's no way they'll have a truck, so I'll beg, borrow, or steal one instead (just kidding, no stealing). Avoid the Poplar Bluff Enterprise if you need a specific type of vehicle. If you can afford to take whatever random one falls from the sky, good luck. read more

If I could have given 0 stars I would have. I have used enterprise rent-a-car for years and never have I had a bad experience. The location in poplar bluff mo is a terrible representation of an otherwise great company. I reserved a rental for the 21st of October scheduled to return on the 23rd. I reserved through priceline. As soon as my reservation was booked the poplar bluff enterprise called me to inform me that they didn't have any rental cars and would have to put me on a waiting list and would let me know as soon as they have a vehicle for me. No problem. Other than they called me around 10 min till 5pm to let me know that they had a car for me. There was no way I could get a ride to the enterprise before they closed at 5pm. Told the employee that called me I would have to get it first thing in the morning. Again no big issue, only missed one day of work at this point. The employee told me they would call me first thing in the morning to pick up the rental. We'll, she never called. So about 8:30 am ​I called them and was informed that she had rented the car she had for me to someone else that she would have to put me back on a waiting list. Needless to say I paid in full for this rental. Called enterprise rent a car customer service. She referred me to the area/district manager Derek. She sent an email to him for him to contact me. Waited all day never heard from him or from the enterprise location where my rental was supposed to be rented from. Day 2 of missing work. They have offered nothing for my trouble or anything. The customer service at the poplar bluff enterprise is sub par at best. If there was another car rental company in poplar bluff i would have already got a rental through them. This whole experince has been terrible from renting cars they do have to the not holding the rental they had for me, not calling me back and overall unprofessionalism that the single staff member at the rental agency in poplar bluff. POPLAR BLUFF ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR SHOULD BE CLOSED OR COMPLETELY RE-STAFFED WITH COMPENTENT EMPLOYEES. THEY ARE A NEGATIVE/LIABILITY TO/FOR ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR COMPANY. THEY ARE A TERRIBLE REPRESENTATION OF THE VALUES OF THE ENTERPRISE BRAND AND OFFER NO APOLOGIES OR CONCERN FOR THE WAY THEY REPRESENT THE BRAND. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS ASAP. I AM NOT SURE BUT I WOULD SAY AT BEST IT IS UNETHICAL TO OFFER A PRODUCT, GET PAID FOR THE PRODUCT AND NOT GIVE THE PRODUCT TO THE CONSUMER THAT PAID FOR IT AND AT WORST IT MAY BE ILLEGAL. I had a rental car reserved for a specific time and date with an online confirmation as I was dropping my vehicle off to get fixed from storm damage and needed transportation. I just had back surgery, so this was going to be an in and out ordeal and right back home as I am in a lot of pain. I got my car to the shop, and the rental car was not there and the lady said that I had "not called them back" when I actually had told them I was going to utilize the online portion for scheduling. I had confirmation and a reservation number for the time/date I needed the car, but yet i was told they did not have any vehicles in the lot for me. I'm usually a very understanding person, but this was far from ideal as I just had back surgery and did what I was supposed to do on my end. This isn't the first time I've had problems with enterprise. Now I am stuck with no vehicle, and no one offered to fix the situation in any way. read more

What a great location. We had a horrible experience at the Joplin location. We arrived in poplar bluff and got ahold of their manager. She gladly got us into the correct car we reserved and was super nice! I believe her name was Mayesha. I would gladly do business here again and highly recommend it, especially if she is working. It was even her birthday, on a Saturday, and I was pretty frustrated and she was happy and patient and kind. Highly recommend this place. read more

Had my car in the shop so insurance paid for a rental. Got a really nice van from Enterprise in Poplar Bluff. Had to go on a trip for several days and had no trouble with the van at all, good fuel mileage and it was very clean. The van didn't have a completely full tank when i picked it up and i returned it full. Kyle was awesome and made things right. It wasn't a big deal but it was a very professional thing to do. read more

Quick and easy, reserved online and somebody called me back immediately. This is a smaller branch of enterprise, it's mentioned on the site that they could not guarantee the type of car availability. Call them on the day you are going to pick your car up and see what cars available in their lot. I ended up getting a better car without the fee change. Having a major credit card will make the process easier too. read more

I placed a reservation 2 weeks in advance for a compact car. When I arrived to pick up my car they did not have one, the only thing available were dual cab trucks. When I asked about it I was told "Reservations are NOT guaranteed it happens quite a bit because we do not get a car in when it's supposed to be returned" I have never received such terrible customer service in my life! Enterprise Rent a Car in Poplar Bluff is fantastic. R T and Ryan both are great at their job. Both are very knowledgeable regarding the cars they are putting you in. Wait time if any is minimal. Rented 3 vans for college baseball 1 day trip. Very efficient in picking vans up and returning. Vehicles were clean and ready to go.

Worst place to rent car. Cars are dirty, no place to park your car, never full tank of gas, problem is they are the only rental place in PB. read more
