Tricia saved the day and what a lovely! When the car service that the Greenbank Hotel didn't show…read moreup, the hotel called looking to see who could get me to my train on time, 7:20am. I had asked for the taxi pick me up at 6:30am. By 6:35am I was concerned, the hotel said that Tricia could be there in 10 mins and I said I need sooner, they called the other local cab and they said a matter of minutes. Well Tricia showed up in 6 mins. The other cab company didn't show but Tricia didn't trust they would be picking me up in time and had dropped off her fare and came right over to me and got me to my train w 20 mins to spare. I honestly could not stop thanking her. Her kindness and caring is palpable. When I come back next year, I'll be reaching out to them. If I had missed my train, I would have missed my flight back to the states. This taxi being on time that didn't show could have cost me greatly. Thank you again, Tricia, you were the bright spot to my day and I won't forget the impression you made.

On a stressful morning Able provided me with a delightful driver (the owner's daughter) who knew the area like the back of her hand and delivered me there and collected me afterwards. I paid £10 each way and having been quoted by other nearby cab firms £25 and £18 each way I thought this very reasonable for peace of mind. I can't fault my experience with Able. Oh, and I got the job!

Driver, who is owner's son, was upset over personal issues. His dad instructed him to take care of business; did not fare so well for the 8 of us who were to be taken on a 6 1/2 hour tour of Cornwall. Driving and taking curves in a way that was flinging people in the back of the van all around, no idea of time management or even what sights we were seeing. He acted like a young kid, fooling around with other driver, giving the middle finger; all very juvenile behaviour. Father gave all appearances of being able to provide us with a well scheduled trip and time for lunch; he should have been the one who was driving. Emails from several in the group to the company have received no response. Payment had to be made by bank transfer so there is no financial recourse, which we knew up front. So pay your money and take your chances. Sad, as the father has recently purchased this company and more ship tours are going into Falmouth. More reviews like this and he will be only a cab company for the locals as those looking for tours won't be comfortable using them.
