I rented a car for less than 24 hours and let me first say I have a sinus infection so I can't really smell. I never attempted to sit in back seat or even opened the back doors .When I went to return the vehicle the manager let me leave so I assumed I was all set and I can leave . Oh boy was I wrong , instead he charged me a 300 hundred dollar cleaning fee and he claimed there was poop in the back seat . First off how disgusting that I was rented a car that had poop In The back seat. I am disgusted and disappointed that enterprise even allowed me to rent this vehicle with this in it. I called enterprise multiple times and tried to settle this situation with the manger instead he told me to come clean the back seat , I told him no bc this is not my issue nor should he let this car leave the lot with feces In the back seat. Luckily me he hung up on me twice.I am beyond livid and I hope enterprise records these conversations.moral of this story is do not rent cars from Southington enterprise and certainly don't expect Andres (the manager) to help with any issue. He will basically blame you and say tough luck . I'm concerned for my health after entering that vehicle, I will be going to my doctor and talking to a lawyer. Peace Out Southington enterprise I hope you take my money and actually clean that vehicle so no one else will be affected by this !

The car was spotless, in perfect condition, and exactly what I needed. But it was the exceptional customer service from Connor that made this rental unforgettable. I do not like to downplay any place of business however there are major areas of concern. from reading the reviews that are not being addressed and it's more just like a money grab from dealing within the Uber aspect of this. I will also be following up with a complaint to Uber and it does not stop there because I am writing a lengthy communication which will be sent out to all the higher-ups and BBB I'm not sure how it can go because it only seems like a rotation that you find trying to speak to someone of a higher caliber. so with that being said, this is why I am on yelp. I work within the Uber industry as a part-time job and I am provided services from Hartford only because it's the closest location to me but the manner of how I have been spoken by Keydoe which I've let it slide a lot because you try to give people the benefit of the doubt and try to learn people for who they are, but when it comes to me working and spending my money, my hard earned money. There's a lot of things that need to be taken in a consideration here and I don't think they are especially at this location. I have to say that again. My money is earned not given to me so when I'm investing in a company, which I am investing in Hertz because I pay out of my pocket to rent their vehicles to do my job and to the standards that it should be there's a big area of concern here and when I try to address the concern with one of the representatives I got a tantrum I would say he was more upset at the fact that I was willing to wait and vehicle that they give me service engine light on and other mechanical issues and when I say it had a hole in the floor of the driver side, the rug was completely ripped that was two cars that day that he was trying to give me that we're not up to standard,especially for the price that we were being paid. I've switched my vehicles out three times with the 2nd time being no fault of there's, however the 3rd rental that they tried to give me the was not in a condition to drive on the road so they switched me out into another vehicle which it doesn't appear that the third vehicle was closed out which resulted in Hertz charging my car for two vehicles one that I never even drove off the lot with they switched it out that same day so when it came time to renew, I am being charged for two cars, but I only have one . when I tried to call last week to speak with a manager and I was not addressed and was unable to contact so I went in however, my concerns were weren't taken serious and you get the runaround the vehicles they give you are damaged. They're either not clean properly or is something wrong with it to where they're telling you you need to go and get it repaired or just take the car for the week and bring it back to exchange the following week which I have taken multiple days off of my job to go to Uber to address these concerns and spend hours in the lobby trying to take my concerns up with the representative who will try to fast talk you and talk you into believing what he's saying is right and what you're saying is wrong and then get upset when you don't agree with what it is he wants you to do. I've experienced it firsthand. I have a witness to that to what I have experienced sexual favors being asked l, and as I try to be calm and humble, it took me to another place that I should not have to be with anybody in a place of business. I don't care if I do know you or if I do not know you in a professional world you want to be treated with that, and Hertz Hartford on Weston is everything but that. I have rented vehicles with Hertz for many years and I've always gotten the highest level of appreciation for being a customer. I do not feel appreciated here and I'm really looking into considering going to another state just to rent a vehicle because of the lack of respect carelessness on which how things have been handled I've had to call Hertz many occasions for being overcharged which results to be refunded days later and it keeps happening and now I'm facing being charged for two vehicles when only one is in my possession and the one that they're trying to charge me for I never even took that car so please tell me what is going on with this company and why the manners have changed in which how you deal with people I have multiple people that I could align that has complained on the way the Hartford Hertz is operating and nobody there seems to Care at all. They just take your money and send you on your way. They don't care if you're overcharged they want you to call customer service. They have nothing to do with it but when you call customer service, they're rerouting you back to the location it is a game!

She was very personable, thorough, and a real joy to deal with. VEHICLE REVIEW- 2 stars Very limited choices in their fleet, we wanted a sedan, were promised a VW sedan, but when we arrived, they didn't have one available. Our 2024 Ford Escape SUV had plenty of scratches on the exterior surface and the exterior was full of tree pollen (the cars are stored behind the building by trees). There was a cigarette burn and a stain on the front passenger seat. Katherine did a thorough job documenting these deficiencies with us, so thankfully there were no issues when we returned the rental. We did notice that the car's transmission had a lag when you accelerated from a full stop, like a heart palpitation skipping a beat. That made us a bit nervous. After some supermarket shopping, we went to put groceries in the trunk and discovered a piece of trash peeking out from under the trunk compartment lid. Apparently, a previous renter really like Backwoods Russian Cream cigars. The AC and stereo and brakes were excellent. Overall rating of 3.5 stars.

I was hit by another car while renting one of their vehicles, which resulted in a small dent. Estimated repair cost for this type of dent is normally $50-$175. However, they milked this situation by keeping my entire $300 deposit PLUS money from my insurance. Because Avon is a small town, this location isn't busy in the slightest. They make up for it by extorting what few customers they do have. DO NOT RENT HERE! There machines are so faulty, my Apple Card didn't even go through. I had to call Apple to ensure them it wasn't fraud. Or so I thought. I repeat. DO NOT RENT HERE

This was the most insane experience I have ever had. My friend and I needed a last minute car…read morereservation, so since I book with Avis often, I made a quick last minute reservation. When we walked into the store we were immediately dismissed, when neither her or the other worker acknowledged our presence. She then proceeded to tell us that she didn't have the car we reserved. I said whatever they had available would be fine. She took my id and credit card and then she told me she needed my company id for my discount. I have never once had to show my company id and I asked if there could be a one time exception since I didn't have it with me. She said no and then proceeded to do the reservation without the discount code. I asked her how much it would be without the discount and she rudely told me that since it's a one day reservation and she's having to do it over she didn't know yet. I then told her this was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. She still would not look at me and then my friend told her that they were being rude to us and they still didn't give us any sort of reaction. After making a new reservation, she told us it would be $130 MORE than the original quote. I then got angry and started to storm out and said they could F off.. she then proceeded TO THROW MY CREDIT CARD AND LICENSE AT ME when I went to get it back. In my life, I have never experienced someone as horrible as this woman. She is in the wrong line of business if this is how she treats people (apparently others too, considering the reviews). If she is the owner then Avis should be absolutely ashamed of themselves that they're allowing such a terrible person run this place under their name.

Awful! I needed a rental while my car was getting fixed after I was hit from behind…read more I called Hertz on a friday and said that I would need a minivan as I have 5 children in my care during the week. I was told by Blake that a van rental was not available until the following Monday after 3pm. I said that was fine and we set up an appointment for the Monday to pick up the van after 3. Monday comes I show up at Hertz a 4:15 and there is no mini van available! I was give some lame excuse that sometimes reservations get overlooked .... but they were more than happy to have me go up to an SUV for an additional cost. No Thanks! Frustrated as you can imagine! Now I have no rental and the work that needs be done on my car has to wait. I think I'll use enterprise next time.
