This place has been extremely helpful while my issues dealing with my car keep arising. Callie was helpful, respectful, and supportive during these hard times I am facing. BE FOREWARNED I reserved a car at 10:34 a.m. for a pick up at 3:30 pm. At 1:45 pm I get a phone call from enterprise saying they don't have a car for me, somehow my reservation slipped through and they don't know how that happened. Needless to say that left me in a crisis being that I needed a car for transportation because my car was getting repairs. I had to scramble around to find some alternate means to pick my child up from school. This is unacceptable to confirm that you have a car rented and then tell someone an hour and 45 minutes before pick up that their reservation slipped through and they don't have a car for you. read more

Arrived an hour before posted closing time and was informed they were closing early and could not give a ride even though I was informed it would be no problem originally. Don't rent anywhere else. Everyone needs a truck. This is what I used to say when I had a truck. Then one day I decided I shouldn't heed my own advice and I traded it in. Well guess what? Everyone needs a truck. So what do you do when you need a truck and don't have one anymore? Call Enterprise. That's exactly what I did a few moths ago when I needed to move stuff that wouldn't fit in my current vehicle. I actually went online to book my reservation but called the day of to make sure they would have my truck ready. Picking up the truck was pretty easy. The store was packed with people but there were at least four people working the counter. They verified my information and pulled my truck around. After our damage check I headed out in my Ram 1500 4x4. The truck was less than a year old and had very low miles. It was perfect for what I needed and I found the rates to be very reasonable. Drop off was even easier since they had a drop box. I was able to park it in their lot and drop the keys in the box. A day later I got a call that everything was good and that was that. Possibly the worst experience ever! Had a premium car booked and they tried to put us in something that needed a oil change along with smoke damage. We had booked something much bigger and they refused to give us something bigger. I believe the manager on duty name was Hannah and they sales associate helping us was Riley. We had been dropped off at Enterprise and they threatened to cancel our reservation when we request something bigger. We had been there for almost two hours waiting to be helped and then when they finally helped us the manager told us that they had been closed for a hour and she really shouldn't be going through with our reservation. During the one night we were gone my friend's vehicle got vandalized and the sunroof got broken into. Called and made my reservation with the national customer line. Received my confirmation number over the phone and by email. The day before, Aaron from the local branch calls to confirm! Talk about best practices! The pleasant young man reminds me of what I need to bring and I hang up impressed. Friday morning comes and my husband drops me off at 7:15. When the doors officially open at 7:30, my rep turns out to be the same one that called to confirm. He's polite, professional and the entire staff are giving the impression that they love what they do. Getting my SL63 AMG serviced across the lake, where everything always drags on and I figure I might as well give my F250 King Ranch w/diesel to my local serviceman and get it done too. Get your billing in writing before you accept. Word of mouth from the initial quote can produce a lot variance from the real bill. I stood my ground and got the bill corrected. Read the writing closely as it did not match! Reservation procedures were a bit vague. I called a Boulder Colorado location and got a confirmed reservation only to be called back as much as thirty-forty minutes later to be told that a cargo van was not available and was referred to another location. This happened three times until on the last time I was told they did not handle cargo vans at all at that location at all and I refused to bother to call the latest referral since I had already gotten a confirmation and they had wasted to much of my time. I told the clerk that I had already gotten three confirmations previously and that their procedures of calling later to refute the confirmations was incompetent at best, and a major problem for folks in an emergency situation who might not have the means to receive the call, which was not timely in the least. She understood and got me the van but it took some heavy guilt tripping on my part to get them to do what they had promised. Shocking. No spare tire on the vehicle scared me a bit when I had to drive outside phone networks. They promise roadside assistance but that might not be available in the desert of Arizona/New Mexico I drove through since cell networks were patchy. Otherwise the van was great, clean and new. No mechanical problems but it did have a missing fisheye mirror. They gave me a ride home when I returned the van. read more

UPDATE: Though you see the comment below, I have not been helped beyond saying that they'll get a hold of me. Which they haven't. Still nothing has been resolved. I wish I could be writing a review on how awesome our experience was. Or about the car in general, however we never even got to the point of SEEING the car I had reserved weeks prior to our visit. Customer service is not the issue here, and the employees were more than helpful and pleasant. The problem is that we did not know(though we asked MANY times what we needed/if we were going to be surprised by anything) that we needed to bring pay check stubs, utility bills, proof of insurance, drivers license, debit card, AND our bosses names all the way from Alaska to Louisiana. Very caught off guard, and immensely frustrated that we were not able to pick up our rental car today, due to us not having a utility bill with us... had we know, we absolutely would have come prepared. We did our research and talked to many customer service reps prior to our arrival Incredibly disappointed, and thrown for quite the loop on our vacation. If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. This company has a horrid standard of professionalism. The first time that I rented from them, the car that they gave me had a dying transmission and needed an alignment. I gave them another chance and they were supposed to pick me up at 11:30am at my house. When I called at 10:30am to check on that, the company representative, Jordan, told me that he was sorry, but they could not pick me up due to being short-staffed. They left me stranded and never even called to cancel the reservation or offer any alternatives. When I complained, he told me that the Manager was busy and the fault was the Corporate people who made the reservation. I have never dealt with anyone so unprofessional ever. I have had the opportunity to use Enterprise in Mandeville for the past three and a half years. Even in the worst of situations, this station performed well. One rental was during extremely bad weather. All transfer drivers were pulled off the road for safety. I showed up for my appointment and there was no SUV available. The manager got on the phone and called Slidell and had two people drive there to get my rental. Another time, I did not check to see if my reservation was confirmed on the correct date. It was the next day. My error. They honored my reservation and got me on my way. My take in reading the poor reviews below is developing relationship, being patience, and understanding the system. In August 2015, we rented with Enterprise at MIA for a trip down to Key West. This past Easter, we rented from Enterprise to get around Santa Fe. My wife has an upcoming trip to Denver in June. Reservation already made. We are flying up to Milwaukee Labor Day Weekend in order to trek over to Green Bay to see LSU play Wisconsin. Would not choose anyone else. Great job, Jay! read more

First of all I want to state, I've always enjoyed the service of Enterprise. However, since my last rental of two years ago the process of renting required so many documents it was silly. I informed management that I would be returning several times in the next several months for repeat service and was informed I would have to jump through the same hoops of documents. They really should have a system of verifying someone and repeat customers would be able to have an express process of checking out a car. Interesting enough for identification a drivers license that is approved by homeland security for flying and a government issued voter registration card aren't acceptable IDs. But utility bills and check stubs that can easily falsely computer generated are acceptable. People with direct deposit paying jobs and paperless billing of utilities etc, need to be prepared. read more

Last Wednesday, 8/8/18, I made an online reservation in the morning to rent a car at the Enterprise in Mandeville, LA. Casey (who was very polite and professional) called me and confirmed that I can pick up the rental car at the designated time - Thursday around noon. Once I arrived at Enterprise, Andrew waited on me. He stated there were no cars in the lot and that he would give me a free upgrade since they didn't have the type of vehicle I reserved. I very much appreciated that. Then he told me the total was $179.99. Andrew said due to the recent demand for rental cars, people are willing to pay more for the rental car. I booked this car the day before, so I'm not sure about that. I had a confirmation e-mail that stated my two day rental would be $64.52. Andrew's reply was that it was a good thing I had that confirmation e-mail or he wouldn't of been able to honor it, but he did. Then I get the car and it had a half tank of gas in it. Andrew said no big deal since you received the car this way, you can return it at a half tank. Low and behold, I was charged for returning the car at a half tank of gas. My questions are: (1) How can the rental go up $115 in one day? (2) If I received the car at a half tank of gas and was charged for returning it how I received it, were both the previous renter and I charged and the tank wasn't filled up? I've never had issues like this in renting a car. All in all, if I have to rent a car when I'm in the area again, I will definitely be more aware of what could potentially happen. read more

I placed a reservation for a mini van a week in advance for pickup at 3:00. When I called at 3:03 I was told my van was not ready and they would call when it was. At 4:30 they picked me up. I had a 2 hour drive to pick up my party and another 2 hour drive to get to our show. Needless to say we miss it. They did offer me a 10% discount but that did not make up for loss of tickets and a ruined evening. The staff was polite and apologetic and the mini van was very nice. If you rent from Enterprise make sure you schedule it HOURS before you need it! read more
