Back in February, at the time of booking, I was confirmed by Aulani booking staff that there would be someone at Alamo at 7:30 am to assist with car rental; thus, I kept by reservation at Kualoa Ranch UTV Raptor tour. To my shocking, two days prior to my car rental, I happened to find out that was not the case-Alamo does not open until 8:00 am. Whether there was a miscommunication between the two agencies, I was under great stress that 8:00 am processing paperwork and checking rental car would indeed delay my drive to Kualoa Ranch, and I would lose the tour experience and refund. But to a kind customer-in need saver, Nico, one of the Alamo staff was so thoughtful and compassionate to go out of his way to help get all the paperwork completed prior to business hour, so that I can be on the road immediately. My family and I were truly grateful for his kindness, empathy and unselfishness of his non-work hour to help get us to our first time experience at Kualoa Ranch excursion. If it wasn't for Nico, we would have probably missed it because that weekend just so happened having a fair next to the ranch, and there were so many cars. Nico, I hope you have an opportunity to see this review. I want to thank you again for all that you have done. Our summer highlight was really the experience of riding on the UTV Raptor and touring around the breathtaking view of the ranch, valley, and ocean. THANK YOU!!!!

I remembered a good friend from grade school lived there and in fact had a tour business. I called Linda and told her about my cousin. I forgot about the time change from the west coast so my 9am call was her alarm clock that morning. Whoops. They literally wanted to travel within a week. Linda gave her her personal contact info and asked me to pass to my cousin. Linda was able to book all there activities including a deep discount at a great beachfront hotel. She also saved them a ton on their activities. She even suggested several beaches and local eateries them. They had a great vacations and had activities every day. They inquired about an activity and she informed them it would be better from a different island. So they did not waste their time or money. They were so happy and now I am the favorite cousin.

Wow, truly a breath of fresh air in the car rental business. Hands down one of the best I've…read moreexperienced. I have traveled a lot for work/pleasure and know how to navigate rental car agencies pretty well. Every once in a while they get one over me, especially recent with the electric vehicle push. I also almost always avoid off airport rentals as a rule. Given the price and the glowing reviews I thought I would give Lucky Owl a shot. I'm very glad I did. The pickup process was super easy, just walked across the street from the southwest baggage claim where the pickup spot #4 was designated. Made the call and they were there rather quick. At the counter there was no sales push or tactics, they just verified my ID and CC then handed me the keys. Their rules were clearly laid out next to the window. They took photos of the cars condition and encouraged me to do the same. I also received the exact car stated on my reservation. No issues with the car for the 2 weeks we were there. Someone mentioned you blend in with their cars as a local, I don't know how but it did feel that way, hahaha. I especially liked the rubber floor mats which made cleaning easy. My one recommendation would be a trunk/hatch rubber mat. I know they are much harder to come by, but it would help with sandy beach gear. Speaking of, they even offer to rent beach gear! My airbnb came with some, but its great to know for next time. Drop off was just as easy as pickup. Their rental terms mention excess sand has a fee and there is a Texaco close to their location with vacuums. I wasn't sure if we had reached the "excess" level but why not treat the car with respect and clean up after yourself since Lucky Owl treated us well. When I got back they took a couple photos of the condition just like the pickup and had the shuttle ready to take me to the airport. No question I will be renting from here again next time in Oahu! They also have some friendly cats to greet you.

We had a mishap with the key fob not working while we were at the beach on the east side of the…read moreisland. When we realized it wasn't working, we immediately opened up the fob and found old looking corrosion inside around the battery area. We put a new battery in it and left it open to dry out (if moisture had gotten in it). After troubleshooting to no avail, I called the company and they sent someone out charging a $75 "roadside assistance fee" where a representative brought out a spare key fob. Unfortunately, the replacement fob did not start the car (or even unlock/lock the car). The representative was friendly, but not knowledgeable on other troubleshooting steps to get us back on the road. With the replacement fob taken apart (to swap/replace the battery) the original fob eventually started the car. We even tested it further by turning off and on the car a few times to make sure the old fob was working again. We then drove the vehicle to our next destination, and when we went to leave the car wouldn't start again... we made the most of it and had dinner while further drying out the original fob to see if that would help. In the meantime the company sent a replacement vehicle (at no additional charge). When the rep went to start the original car, it stated right away. The following day, I received a voicemail to go over the additional replacement fob and roadside assistance charges. The voicemail said to reference the email and/or call back for questions. I never received the email after 10 minutes of checking, and then I got a large credit card notification; $350 for the damaged key and $75 for the roadside assistance. I didn't appreciate being charged without being talked to first. When I immediately called back to politely ask some clarifying questions, the person on the phone was very rude and raised his voice to me and my wife. Given that the original fob appeared to have prior water damage and the fact that it did start the car (after drying out, replacing the battery) it was disappointing to be charged $425 for something that may, or may not, have been our fault. And to then be yelled at for asking questions. At the end of the day, the whole ordeal cost us valuable vacation time, added stress, and drastically altered our plans. The car rental itself was affordable but the first car we ended up with was older and a little dingy.

My car was at Les Brodie Waipahu for repairs and the manager at Lex Brodie promised to pay for the first day of car rental. There was however a mix up and poor communication, and this has happened before, so I was charged for one extra day. I tried calling today, Saturday and waited on the phone for someone to pick up, and finally after a long wait, someone did, the manager Jorge. I explained to Jorge the situation, but he was not friendly nor helpful, I kept trying to have to tell him to call Lex Brodie and talk to them and fix this overcharge. Should've he have thought of this himself? So, I am still waiting for the accounting department of Enterprise Waipahu to refund my money and I hope they do. Magical Train Ride Adventure!…read more We absolutely loved our experience on the historic Hawaiian Railway -- such a unique and beautiful way to explore Oahu's west side! From start to finish it was pure aloha vibes and family fun! Prices: Standard train ride tickets were around $18 for adults and $13 for kids (ages 2-12) (kids under 2 are free!), and we felt it was worth every penny for the experience and memories! Parking & Arrival: There's plenty of free parking right at the train station, which made arriving super easy and stress-free. We got there a little early to soak in the atmosphere before departure! Hours & Tour Times: The train runs on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays with departures like 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, plus a couple of other times depending on the day -- perfect for planning your afternoon. Length & Route: The whole ride is about 90 minutes round-trip, slowly chugging through scenic parts of Oahu's Leeward coast with beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. The narration from the guide made the ride even more interesting! Stops & Fun: One of the best parts was the ice cream stop in Ko Olina -- we all hopped off for a cool treat at a little plaza and waved to neighbors along the way! Photo Ops Everywhere: There were so many spots perfect for photos -- seaside views, cute vintage train cars, and open-air seating made for great candid shots! Plus, we barely saw anyone else there during our ride, so it felt like we had the whole adventure to ourselves. Tips: * Arrive early to grab good seats and explore the train yard * Bring a camera (or phone!) -- the scenery is AMAZING * Don't forget a little extra cash for ice cream! Overall: This was one of our favorite experiences on Oahu -- kid-friendly, super scenic, and just plain fun. We're already talking about going back again next time!

Overall a nice diversion and unique way to see the leeward (west) coastline of Oahu. Good for children especially. Staff very hospitable.
