I have used this location twice when I had super long all-day car appointments and they were awesome both times! They make the process easy to get in and out. Not bad prices either, and they do not pressure to upsell you on any add-ons (ex: insurance). I only used their shuttle service one time (they offer this for close rides), and that was so helpful (and the driver was super friendly and fun to chat with!). We pulled into port in Kahului, Maui for our one day on the island during our Hawaiian cruise. Paid $20 for a five-minute cab ride to the Enterprise office. (Despite their ads, they do NOT pick you up!) When we arrived, we were told they had no cars and were not honoring reservations! Absolutely horrific. Waiting an hour the first day even though I "pre-checked" in. We waited in line for over 30 minutes With everyone else who was off the cruise ship. didn't seem like there was enough people working there, although there were four workers and they were hoping to get more workers for the following day, but didn't seem like that happened. When arriving, others with no reservation rented and took off, while we reserved early and they didn't have any "ready" SUVs and we had to wait an additional "unknown" time for them to clean one. Not managed well for cruise passengers looking to rent a car. Got off the boat and walked directly to their location and there were already over a dozen passengets in line. They only had 3 agents working and I timed the transaction time per customer and it was over 15 minutes per. We made a reservation for a Jeep months in advance. Management should know when the cruise ship is coming in and how many reservations are being made and should staff up accordingly. Rented a vehicle via insurance. Originally got a dodge caravan, but it had brake issues so I reached back out for a swap. Kailee was exceptional! She took care of me from start to finish. She told me that she only had smaller cars available at the time. I let her know my situation and she went above and beyond to find me a car that would work for me! The fleet at this location is absolutely disgusting. Cars 3+ years old with 30-40,000 miles that smell rancid on the inside. I have swapped into three different vehicles and at this point I'm better off keeping what I have because it just keeps getting worse each time. One of their agents mentioned it's because this location is mainly for insurance claim purposes. That's so great! So basically, the locals get to drive around in garbage while their other fleet at the airports for the tourist have nice new vehicles. Please do better. read more

This review is short and sweet. Enterprise on Hana Hwy will now be our "go to" for car rentals on Maui. We had an excellent experience with all the staff from our first contact to our return. We had to service our car in Kahului, and it was questionable how long it would take, so they helped us arrange for a 2 day rental at Enterprise on Hana Hwy. I spoke with Mike to be sure we had everything coordinated. He offered to pick us up where we were having our car serviced. We decided to stop by before dropping our car off. I forgot the first gentleman's name who was very kind and efficient. Sanoe helped us into a beautiful, clean Nissan Altima. As it turned out our own car's problem was an easy fix, so we returned our rental later that afernoon. The one who checked us in (Valerie?) was very courteous and professional. The price was extremely reasonable for Maui. We will certainly rent again from Enterprise. read more

I rented a car for a week while I was in Maui. This place is about a mile from the airport so you will need to take an Uber or taxi but it is under $10 for that ride... super worth it because the pricing is lower at this location! I paid like $250 for a Jeep rental for a week which I thought was super good compared to other pricing I'd seen! The people that work here were so nice! We rented a car for 30 days and needed it for 33 days, we were told, that we could renew the agreement at 30 days and could do it any enterprise location. We went to renew, we told to call in, we went back, they were closed. We then got a call that we needed to drive back to the airport to renew. I am a firm believer in not posting negative comments unless you tried to work it out. We did, spoke with many different Agents, none of which would extend the agreement, and they don't have the technology to do it digitally. I am disappoint in a group that we paid a lot of money to for a service and then they choose to make it difficult and are not client firsts. Great experience I got ditched by a friend in Hawaii and wanted to make the best of the rest of my trip. I rented a car from this place and asked for a pickup. After a few missed encounters, I was finally able to track down the person who was suppose to be picking me up. The experience from that point on was heavenly. I used a debit card because I didn't want to put the car on my work credit card and I couldn't find mine anywhre. I felt a litle embaressed because people who usually don't have a credit card have a stigma about them. However, they accepted it without any judgements. Further, they gave me recommendations of where to go and offered to call me a cab to go back to the airport. Great experience, highly recommended location! read more

I had to rent a car here just for the day as my car was in the shop. First, if you've never rented from Enterprise you're missing out. Their staff are so well trained and never fail to be polite and helpful. I wish more companies trained their staff this well. They gave me a minivan at a super low price of $33 when their vans are usually $75 and up. I also like how they pick you up and drop you off which the did for me at the dealership. My wife and I were involved in a pricing dispute with this company. My wife had an appointment to pick up a vehicle(paid for at a daily rate of $21 but none were available). Branch Manager, Nalu Perkins, stated that the only vehicle available would be at a higher rate of $28. Of which we would be responsible for the difference. However, after several phone calls the insurance company agreed to cover. You could say we were not off to a good start with Mr. Perkins. Upon retuning the vehicle, Mr Perkins, from inside the building noticed damage to the undercarriage/Rocker panel. He claimed we would be responsible. I have never inspected the under-side of this vehicle. An inspection is done up close...not from a distance or on the ground. The Branch Manager, Nalu Perkins, epitomizes poor customer service skills. read more

Since my car was in for repairs (of being rear ended), insurance set me up with enterprise. Chad arrived quickly for my pickup at the auto shop, and set me up with a nice rental. The day of return, Bryce helped me and assured me of no charges. Both employees were great! Thanks! The one negative I'd say is the drop off vehicle. Bryce told me that the car I returned would also be my drop off ride too. But that was not the case. Another employee led me to another vehicle. Once I opened that door and it frickin GROSS! So nasty.....horrid smell and trash in the door pocket, everywhere. STRAIGHT UP NASTY. Oddly, he was fine with it. BLECH! I received the best service from this Enterprise, of all the ones that I've been to! First off, on our weekend trip to Maui, I somehow forgot my credit card at home! At this location, they allow you to use your debit card if you give them your flight information. They saved us! If they had had the same annoying rule that the Enterprise on Oahu has, then we would be SOL for our weekend vacation! The service that we received on the shuttle, at the desk, and in the lot, was all over-the-top fantastic! The shuttle driver was friendly and helpful, the people who served us at the desk were also friendly and super fast, and Alea, who helped us in the lot, was really great as well (if we remember her name a month later, that says something!). We started our trip in a great mood thanks to these guys. Overall the process was pleasant, easy, and fast, and I had 0 complaints. If only all Enterprises were as good as this one. Rental car prices on the island were ridiculous the weekend that we were there for a wedding. All the rentals were sold out at the airport. Luckily, we booked in advance and we booked at the Enterprise off-site from the airport. The rates here were MUCH cheaper (like 1.5-2x less) than booking at the airport. PROS - Friendly staff - Quick service - Clean car - Less expensive than renting at the airport - Staff will call you a cab to get you back to the airport CONS - We got a tiny car that barely fit our luggage and us (one luggage had to go in the backseat as the trunk only fit one luggage piece). Not necessarily a con but it's a pain if you have more than 2 ppl. If necessary, we could have paid for an upgrade but we didn't feel the need to. - It's a pain to get here (a little over 2 miles from the airport) so definitely need a taxi or someone to drop you off So in conclusion, it's a little inconvenience, but the cost savings is worth it in my eyes. read more

I spoke to multiple people at Enterprise and everyone was courteous and cheerful, especially the lady (I forgot her name). It was a great car and I got an upgrade to a convertible (Camaro) only for 20 bucks per day. Booked from 24th Dec to 27th Dec Morning and was flying in the night so had to book another car from Advantage (0.7 miles away) which I hated. Only complaint - a 30 dollar fee for dropping the car at the airport instead of the center at night time but I can live with that. read more

This location was great before and during our renting process - helpful, answered all my questions, and gave us an upgrade. The gentleman and young lady at the front desk were great - I regret not catching their names - but their customer service was so on point - no hassle and quick! The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars (and not 5) was because of the attempted insurance sell. While at the desk, I had asked if anyone had been to Haleakala and got some information about it (relevant later). While checking out the car for damages with another representative, he tried to upsell me on the insurance claiming that Haleakala was dangerous, jagged rock is jutting out from all sides, and that all of the damaged vehicles get damaged there. As he put it, this vehicle (hardly any damage) was one of the lucky ones; according to him, the others come back completely damaged from Haleakala. I politely declined the insurance. He then continued to push, stating that I don't know what I'm getting myself into and that he's seen it and if it were him, he would get the insurance. Interestingly, this is one of a handful of folks who just a few minutes earlier indicated he had never been. Luckily, I don't scare easily... While I understand their need to sell the insurance (it's a business, I get it), I don't appreciate the scare tactics and deception, especially after I've politely declined twice. On my third declination, I was just rude. Absent this one minor portion of my experience, I would happily rent here again and have already recommended it to friends. For cruise customers, definitely go here. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the port. Tons of cruise customers rented from here - it's a great location if you want to get a car in Maui. read more

Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Hana Hwy is the way to go! It's off the airport site so you have to get a taxi to pick up your car (takes about 5 minutes) if you're flying into OGG, but the price is significantly less expensive than renting at the airport. The quality of cars are good. I got a Charger with only 1200 miles on it and my brother-in-law got upgraded to a Mercedes van . Customer service is fast, efficient and friendly. None of the usual sales push to try and talk you into the extra insurance. This is how I'll rent a car in Maui from now on! read more

We rented from ERP when we were in Maui a couple of weeks ago. And they didn't pick us up from the airport!and had no shuttle! We had to Uber to their location which cost me extra. When i dropped off the car it was raining hard. I had to stand in the rain to get an Uber back to the airport. So inconvenient. :( read more

Excellent experience once I made it to their location. At the airport we got on an Enterprise bus and they took us to the airport's on site Enterprise location, which is not where we needed to be. When you book at this place, you have to realize you need to take a cab from the airport to this site, and take one back to the airport again when you leave. One way cab fare cost me $11 (took about 8 minutes). This offsite location saved me $100, less ~$20 in cabs, so net savings of about $80. And no lines at this place. They were out of our size car so we got a slight upgrade at no charge. People there were nice and easy to work with. I would do it again, knowing better about the cabs now and I could make it go smoother. read more
