Took Uber to enterprise only to be told pay an upgrade because we don't have what you reserved. So I asked if that was protocol because I've never experienced that with Enterprise and the manager said yes. I call corporate and they said no Enterprise doesn't do that. Meanwhile a midsize car comes which is what I reserved, I ask the young lady about the car and she says it's not available. I call customer service and they said they had midsized availability at that branch, but she insisted they didn't. Other midsized cars come in and she gives them to customers who came in after me. I asked her if I could get transportation to a near by branch which had a car and she told me no take Uber, I asked if they were affiliated and she said yes but still would assist me.Took Uber to the airport which said a car would be available but no car was there. I spent $40 taking Uber to get a rental car....if this is how you thank your loyal customers it's pathetic read more

I've been here waiting on a car for 3 hours. I have never sat around and waited this long while renting a car! They said it would take half an hour, and here it is now 3 hours later . I will NEVER come to this enterprise again! This has wasted so much of my day it's ridiculous. I am visiting from California and didn't expect my first day here to start like this. Absolutely terrible experience with this Enterprise location. Booked a reservation for a car and similar to every other review was told that there are no cars available. I understand limitations in inventory but why not give people the courtesy of of call or email stating that the car they reserved is no longer available. I spent an hour waiting at the location before I was informed they ran out of cars. read more

I love Enterprise. But I only have problems renting at ( Downtown Jackson Mississippi State st) location. Customer service is the least of their concerns. The new staff is horrible. They old staff cared and had high respect for their customers. read more

So funny story: I was in a car accident downtown where some idiot girl tried to turn from the middle lane onto another road instead of turning from the left lane. I was in the left lane and she hit me. Completely totaled my vehicle. Her insurance set up a rental for me thru Hertz. I arrived at hertz where they had no cars. They actually tried to put me in a little Sentra. Mind you I came from driving a Ford Fusion. She then told me that they probably wouldn't have anything until the next day. This wouldn't work for me due to being in the Army and having so much gear. So I called State Farm and told them and then contacted this enterprise. They actually came and picked me up from Hertz parking lot (LOL) and I ended up being put into a 2019 dodge hemi charger. This one transaction ended in me purchasing one of my own. Was told I can't refunded for my fuel due to me not brining the car back on empty but if I rented car at a half tank and brought it back under a half I would get charged. I asked to speak with a manager. The associate told me to sit in my car and she'd call the manager. Come to find out, she was the manager. This is the worst Enterprise I have ever been to. We called for a pickup yet they never showed up. We walked there but when we arrived they didn't have a car even though we had a reservation. The "customer service" was non existent but you got eye rolls at no extra charge. Stay away!! read more

I wish I could go less than a star and wish I had read the reviews before coming here - my insurance adjuster made the reservation for 7:30 - mid size car - arrive at 7:50 - line of people - one person behind the desk - no good morning - no hello- finally a young man comes in - he's not much help either - after getting my info I'm informed there's no car - excuse me this is a car rental place, correct and I do have a reservation, correct - so again tell me what's the problem????They finally come out with a tiny car - I'm like what is that, my reservation is for a mid size car - after going back and for with my insurance adjuster - they find a car in the back - only to tell me it has to have an oil change and it's going to be about 30 minutes - it's been close to an hour and still no car or the guy that waiting on me - my suggestions - fire the entire staff or close this location !!!!!!!!! read more

Although busy on the day , I went in, which was the day after Memorial Day I had a good experience. The associates were courteous and knowledgeable. One in particular Donovan , was kind and courteous to each customer even though there were many issues to be resolved. read more

I had a different experience than the other reviewer. The people here were nice but Enterprise was a huge disappointment. There were no cars available at the airport and the desk clerk did nothing to help me find one from another location. I called their reservation number and they found me a car at this location. I made the reservation over the phone and then took a cab to pick up the car. When I got here the car wasn't available so I had to get a larger car (more money). I can't return it to the airport or they will charge me a $65 drop fee. Whatever happened to Enterprise will pick you up on TV? Worthless. The staff at the airport was worthless. The staff at this location was better but I won't waste my time with enterprise again. read more

Bad experience here. Reserved a car this morning at 9:00 AM and received a confirmation number. I gave a credit card to reserve the car I was supposed to pick the car at designated time of late afternoon but when got there I saw about 10 people sitting or standing outside in 95 degree weather waiting on cars. I stood in line outside in scorching heat and a representative finally came out and told me that although I had reserved a car online, they had no cars. She told me that they would have a car perhaps the next morning, but I told her that didn't help me. She said she would try to find a car at another location if I was paying with a major card. About 15 minutes later, when asked her she said no one was answering the phone and would try cell phones. Waited longer. No car. This was a horrible experience and I asked other employees why they failed to notify people by email or phone about the lack of available fleet. One said they hoped the cars would come in later. This is my first rental car experience. My car was begin worked on at Honda and so they provided a rental car through this enterprise location. The wait wasn't very long, maybe 20 minutes, but they seemed lost on what car I would be getting. Then they admitted to losing the keys and it took another 15 minutes. When I finally got to drive it away, the interior smelled of smoke and melted butter and the tank was almost completely empty. I drove it around for almost a month and the smell hardly faded. read more

Do not use this place. Every time I've used them, my car has never been on time. They did not even have a car of any kind available for my last reservation. Will never use them again. So when I realized my train was going to be a half hour late I called ahead and told them I would be in at 6pm. After putting me on hold and listening to their "we go the extra mile" hold catch phrase I decided to test to see if it's true. It's not true at all. They told me they would wait 15 minutes past 6pm if I could get to them. So much for "we'll pick you up." I explained to them I am 2k miles away from home and I need a car tonight. They didn't care. They told me I could get a car from the airport if I took a taxi from the train station to the airport and they would charge me $100 more. Really? I couldn't help that my train got in at 6pm instead of 5:30pm like it was scheduled. They told me to take a cab to my hotel and they would pick me up in the morning. The cab was $35. I told them that would force me to renegotiate the price and it would be more since it was a last minute arrangement, which it was. I couldn't believe how insensitive they were to me. If they simply could have worked with me for a few more minutes I would have had my car at the rate we agreed on. They don't care at all. I won't ever be using this branch again. read more

So....Enterprise Holdings Executive Manager for the state of Mississippi calls me and leaves a message stating that he would like to talk with me concerning an email I sent in regards to my dissatisfaction with my recent Enterprise experience. I call him back. Why call me if you are going to go down the same path as your subordinates? I reiterated to him why I'm not satisfied: (1) When I asked employees and management if it was safe to leave my car on the property, I was told it was safe to do so (2) My car was vandalized and burglarized on your company's property (3) My car was there for 4 (four days) with the window broken out and NO ONE called to tell me (although an employee told management they should call me) (4) There have been several burglaries and no one informed me (5) Local management was nonchalant and insensitive to how the situation affected me and (6) Local management refused to fix my window. Executive Manager, Brad Garrison, felt that $45 free day rental should suffice. When I said that was unacceptable HE got an attitude! An intense discussion occurred. He finally says to send him a receipt for the repair. I said put it in writing via email that you will reimburse me. Him:"You don't need that Ma'am". Me: "Put it in writing Sir. You can tell me anything over the phone." Him (with a bad attitude): "Alright. What's your email Ma'am." Me: c-r-e-s-a-n-d-r-a washington altogether @yahoo.com. It should not have taken all this. It never should have gotten to you in the first place. I am a regular customer. The manager should have fixed my window 3 (three) days ago." Him: "Yes Ma'am. Thank you." Me: "Uhmmm Humm. Thank you. Click." Oh and he suggested that I not do business with that branch anymore. Although the pick-up from the train station did not go as planned, Carson and Greg came through with outstanding customer service, making sure that I felt valued and would not be put out financially. Given the full plates they appeared to have, they were as kind and as speedy as humanly possible. Find a different car rental place. I've used this place about four times. The first three times, I had to deal with rude personalities and attitudes from the reps behind the counter, and I swore I would not go back there. Well, as luck would have it, the car rental place that I wanted to go with couldn't pick me up from the Amtrak station. But guess who would? The South Street Enterprise company. Where do I start? When I arrived in Jackson on 12/24/2015, the guy told me that they were on the way to pick me up. South Street Enterprise is about 7 minutes, if that, from the Amtrak station. I called two more times and got the same statement - they were on their way. Finally, 45 minutes later, the ride shows up, and the driver is a total idiot. He told me he was there for someone else and not me. I told him "you're driving a 12-passenger van. What do mean there's not room for me?" He told me that if the luggage didn't take up too much room (in the 12-passenger van with only 3 other people) then I could come too. Of course, there was room for me and 7 other people if necessary. Then I got to Enterprise, and braced myself for the rudeness and bad attitudes that I knew were coming. To my surprise, they were actually very pleasant that day. I couldn't believe it. We laughed and joked. It was heaven! Well, my joy was short-lived because they had NO CARS. NOT ONE. The staff said that the manager would not allow the system sold-out message, or something like that, to kick in, therefore causing the system to overbook. So I had to sit there and wait a full hour and 30 minutes for a car to come in. It was not how I envisioned the start of my vacation. Based on the fact that "it's always something" with this car rental location, I suggest you find a different Enterprise location, or different company altogether, to do business with. read more
