I Because of a car accident, I rented a car from the Enterprise at 3400 block of Mercury Blvd, and I am sooo glad that I went there. The staff was amazing and made sure that I was satisfied with the rental. Each person that I interacted with was always friendly, kind, and extremely professional. Enterprise on 1004 W. Mercury Hampton VA, has nice customer service, the guys are very friendly and helpful. I rented are car for a weekend getaway and had a lockout that I had to pay for due to a faulty key fob. After getting back in I decided to enjoy my getaway and deal with it when I get back into town. Once back at their terminal I explained it and was told that i could stop back by in the morning to speak to the manager. The next day I couldn't get over there in the AM but to my surprise the branch manager Mr. Darius Baskerville called me personally to express his apologies for the disruption in my getaway. He was so nice, didn't make me feel like he didn't care about my circumstance and wanted to make it right. I felt unbelievable that someone cared enough to put a customer first. Thank you Mr. Baskerville to take the time out your busy schedule to make that call to me and help make things right. read more

Customer service : . I was called a liar through insinuation twice and also told my business , if I chose not to use them in the future , would not matter . I have rented from them for years have always return cars with more gas than i used ect. And have always washed them The man behind the counter , Accused me of having dogs in the car I told him I did not but he then told me he wasn't accusing me of lying but asserted there was no way dogs were NOT in the car. I said again no dog and that it may have transferred from my daughters house from our cloths to the seats he said he doubted that so I told him it was rude to question my integrity and that I would pay to let them vacuum 100$ and that I would not use their service he said a lot of people come to rent cars and that my service wouldn't matter . Well I didn't have an issue paying I had the issue of being called a liar. So to the enterprise next to ihop on Mercury . You absolutely have terrible service and I would not recommend them to anyone and based on what a sister rental said this seems to be an ongoing issue from that particular one . Last night I was involved in a car accident in which my vehicle could possible be a total lost after the insurance company review. My excellent insurance company did a lot of the work for me with the claim and that included reserving a rental vehicle at Enterprise - now I'm nervous. Because I know the history of this place. Well, they did not let me down with horible service. Last night I took advantage of the priority pass option, this way I could just go in the store, sign a few papers and be on my way to. Well that was not the case. The car I reserved was not available. They told me it was in the shop and would not be ready for a few days, so they gave me another car which I was happy with. After leaving Enterprise and getting about miles down the road I got a phone call, it was Enterprise. They ask me to return the vehicle because it is reserved for another customer, so I did. They gave me a vehicle that I was not happy with at all. They claim to have checked their other stores for what I requested but no luck. They told me they would call me when the vehicle I wanted was available. They did call a day later. I was able to finally get the vehicle I requested. read more

This seemed like a training store. One guy was knowledgeable 4 people were not. However, they were friendly which got them another star. The car smelled like cigarettes... almost made me gag. Their remedy was to add 8 air fresheners. Terrible solution! 12 hours later one of the tires went flat. Plus, they attempted to charge me twice for"roadside assistance" twice! Supposed to have the car for 30 days per Geico. Only kept it for 2 weeks. Their car maintenance is horrible. If it weren't for GEICO I would NEVER deal with Enterprise and NEVER will again. read more

In my 47 years of being on this earth, this office (3400 Mercury Blvd) by far had the best customer service that I have EVER experience. Everyone I dealt with from phone conversations to in-person had the best interaction skills possible. When I entered the facility I was greeted and taken care of quickly. I had an agreement with the Branch Manager Michaela L. Griffin of Enterprise Rent A Car at Mercury Blvd. and Armistead Ave. to rent a full size vehicle but received an economy sized vehicle. According to the assistant manager Carolyn, I was a little early but she agreed that the full size vehicle would be available for the fulfillment of our agreement. However, when I returned to pick up the car that same assistant manager Carolyn, who was not assisting another customer asked that I complete the rental process with another customer service representative who was very professional and sincere during the whole ordeal. I was then handed off to another representative who likewise was very professional and very apologetic because he noticed that I was somewhat perplexed once we got to the vehicle outside. To my utter disappointment it wasn't the agreement that was arranged just moments before hand. It all seemed very calculating. The representative went in to speak with the assistant manager at the counter then returned with a reduced price to match the smaller size vehicle and an apology. I was gregarious for his assistance but felt truly betrayed and even annoyed but I refused to go back in to show my disappointment knowing that my initial feelings were spot on. So... I got scammed out of a $50 security deposit that was supposed to be refunded to me as a result of me returning the vehicle. During countless back and forth correspondences they tried to formulate excuses and had no way of showing me an invoice of those funds being issued to me. They ultimately shooed me and told me to deal with it with my bank, which of course showed no indication of those funds being allocated ... Give this site your business at your own risk ... your potential issue may be different from mine but it's not difficult for them to find a monetary issue to capitalize on. Their scam will most likely not be as directly in plain site as it was for me especially when insurance is involved ... good luck !!! read more

I recently had a pretty good experience at this location despite the numerous poor reviews! I called first thing in the morning needing a rental car for the day -- at first, there were a couple hiccups as their computer system was glitching, but once they had that sorted out, everything else when smoothly. They were able to accommodate me, and even provided a free upgrade when the vehicle class I requested was unavailable. My vehicle was clean and clearly well taken care of. I was in and out and on the road in under 15 minutes after I arrived at the location! I anticipated using the car for two days, but luckily received word that I could pick my car up more quickly than expected, so I returned the car the very same day. They adjusted my contract and rates immediately and did not charge me for the second day usage. Again, this all took about 15 minutes and then they had a driver safely drop me to the location I needed to pick up my car. Overall, a very pleasant experience from start to finish. read more

My grandma is elderly and back in June they had no issue adding me on as a secondary driver for free. But now all of a sudden it's an issue and they have "always" Charged. That's a lie . When we arrived no car was available for the moment but was told some of the cars were getting oil changes. We waited the entire day & even called back twice. It's Saturday now and when we call enterprise they say they have them as soon as I am transferred to the branch here comes Jada "do you have reservation because were sold out unless you do." Their website says they take debt cards. FALSE!!!! Showed up to pick up a car and was told no debt cards. Wasted a whole day, ruined a doctors visit etc. The little woke group of employee could not understand why I was mad. Every time I give enterprise a chance I get the same result, car is not ready, wrong car, dirty car!!!! Never again. DO NOT GO TO THIS ENTERPRISE! I recently got into a car accident and was given a renal through enterprise (2 days late but that's a different story). My reservation was set to end on Memorial day and thus their store was going to be closed. I was instructed to the park to the RIGHT of their building at not in the parking lot of the building to the left of theirs. When I arrived, there was no parking on the left or the right of the building, all 6 parking spots they had were taken, and the gate to their back lot was locked. To the RIGHT (where they told me to park) is a parking lot so I parked in the first space closest to their building. I then received a phone call the next day from this enterprise saying, "oh we don't own the lot we told you to park in, so the car got towed and you now owe us $130." Even though I parked exactly where I was told to, they knew the lot wasn't theirs and had me park there anyways. Way to screw over your customers. DON'T GO TO THIS ENTERPRISE! read more

Boooo! This location was nice and helpful, however, this was not where I had my reservation. I had to truck it a super high speed before they closed because another location wouldn't honor a reservation. So, without wasting your time and mine, it will suffice to say that the "reservation system" is a lie. It went downhill from there and the overseas customer service is no help. I use this Enterprise location a lot. This week I had asked for a car at 8:00. I got there on time but the car was not ready. The people were very nice but seemed to be disconnected to the folks prepping the cars. When I finally got the car it had half a tank of gas when I had asked for a full tank of gas. They know that the lot next door does not belong to their business and they do not inform the customers. Just an awful experience. The business does not have any customer parking and when we approached them about the matter they smugly stated that lots of customer have had their cars towed. Poor service yesterday. I had a car rental for a week. I traveled to SC that delayed my travels because of all the CRAZY weather we had (SC is my home). The devastation on my communities, friends and family were almost unbearable. I made it through...finally! With all on my mind I turned the car in later that normal. Given the circumstances I explained this to the assistant manager expecting this thing that devastated an entire state would be taken into consideration. However it was not. He charged me for an extra day and didn't attempt to see what can be done. I reminder him that I love the branch and to please do this courtesy. The answer was still a flat no. I was shocked that was happening. I can honestly say National or AVIS will be getting my repeat service going forward. It's really absurd as I am customer service advocate in my career and I didn't get any type of true customer services. read more

The management at this location is terrible, I waited in the lobby for assistance and someone was nice enough to tell me they would be with me shortly and they apologized for my wait. I waited longer and I finally asked to speak with a manager, and when she came up front she didn't seem concerned with my issue at all. I could tell the staff was busy but if that's the case the manager should step in and help. I decided to take my business elsewhere. They need new management there or train their managers on customer service. read more
