Not very easy to do business with!. And when I told them I didn't want their insurance the agent told me they will collect my entire deductible on my personal vehicles insurance policy ($1000.00) for a chip in the windshield or any type of damage! I told the agent they couldn't charge me more than something is worth and they couldn't collect from me more than something was worth. The agent argued with me they could and would.........! I had to ask for the manager 3 times! When the manager came out she was defensive and rude. BTW the windshield already had a big chip out of it! read more

Terrible customer service! I'm not against Enterprise - the guy at Enterprise in Americus, GA is great, 5 stars. Dates were 5/5/21 - 5/7/21. RA 38LJ38 I was stranded in Gadsden, AL with a vehicle that would not start. I was alone and knew no one in all of Alabama; you know how that feels? Got my truck towed to a shop and the tow operator was good enough to drop me off at Enterprise. My camper was on a mountain and the only way up there is by vehicle. I told Enterprise that I was from out of town and not familiar with the area so they gave me a little car without GPS for $100/day. Um, could I argue? Two days later, on Friday I called at 11:15 AM to tell Enterprise I'd be returning the car in the PM. I asked if they could drop me at the shop where they had my truck - "of course, that is what we do." To get to their location I had to use my phone GPS. I had to pull over to use it a couple of times then I dropped it and it went under my seat. I finally arrived at 5:10 but they are open until 6 PM and my truck is only 10 miles away. And they had 4 employees in the building. This is where the s*** hit the fan. The woman in the room flew into the back room and I rapidly found out why she went into hiding. The manager told me that there was no way they were going to drop me anywhere. "Policy says that no one will be dropped off after 5 PM." What policy? Where was that written? Why wasn't that information passed on to me at 11:15 when I called?? I reminded him that I was in a real bind with absolutely no recourse to transportation. Two employees in there tried to help me out but the manager shut them down ASAP. The manager apparently has issues with senior citizens. Finally one employee, not the asshat manager, recommended a taxi. How was I supposed to know that Gadsden had taxi service?? That cost me $52. Find another way to get around Gadsden, AL rather than Enterprise. The manager will gladly take your money but make up "policy" to suit his mood. read more

Because I am a Navy Reservist and my vehicle is currently out of commission, I have to now rent a vehicle monthly. My first attempts renting a vehicle were not pleasant experiences and the only reason I kept coming back is because I had no choice, the only thing I am not too thrilled about is reserving a specific class of vehicle and if the vehicle is not present then I am forced to pay the difference for the forced upgrade. Rent about every other week.....typically good service. The agents drive me crazy when they answer calls in the middle of my transaction. ....instead of putting caller on hold, they spend 10 minutes answering questiins, making reservations, etc......FINISH the transaction with your clients standing in front of you before taking calls..... read more

Called to reserve a rental for the weekend. The customer service rep. was rude and not very helpful. Needless to say, I did not rent a car from them and do not plan to in the future. I asked for rates multiple times and never got an answer. Every time I would ask a question the customer service rep. would interrupt me. She was finally nice as she was finishing up the call after unsuccessfully making a reservation for me. I would imagine they would do anything possible to make a reservation, boy was I wrong! read more

They certainly didn't go above and beyond with me. I came to Alabama from Virginia for my parents' medical emergency. I expected to stay a wrk and a half and ride home with the family I came with. Circumstances worsened, and I've been here 43 days. I tried to rent a car to go home to Virginia one way. I am 53 years old and have never had a credit card in my adult life. I have always used cash or a debit card. It's been a great way to live. I was told I could not rent a car with a debit card. No attempt was made to see if other payment arrangements could be made, including payment in full in advance, to be sure the payment cleared. What had been a friendly helpful tone suddenly became abrupt with, "Sorry. We hope to be able to help you in the future." Quick end to the call. Ironic. Disappointed that NO attempt was made to find an exception to "the rules" under extremely strained circumstances. I'm sorry that the compassion I've extended to others seems to be unavailable at Enterprise. read more

Called to reserve a vehicle, and a representative confirmed my reservation. Once I drove the hour to pick up the car I was told that they had no cars available because the person the reserves the car cannot confirm what cars the company has. I was told that the only thing I can do is wait. After waiting an hour and a half, I asked one worker how much longer I would have to wait, the representative rudely replied "if you are going to continue to be impatient you won't get one today, and that I could drive to Birmingham to pick one up." I am very disappointed in the lack of organization and professionalism in this nation wide corporation. I will never recommend this company to anyone, especially the branch in Gadsden. read more

I made a reservation for a full size car. When I arrived, I was given a Chevrolet Captiva, small SUV. It was really not big enough for three adults to ride in. The next day a lady called from Enterprise to see if I liked my vehicle. I explained that I would like a full size car and she told me they would be getting one in soon and she would switch it out. After speaking to her, I noticed that the license plates were expired so I stopped by the Enterprise office. They apologized several times and put me in a Tahoe at no extra charge. I was very pleased with their way of making it right with me. The only problem I had was that the vehicles were dirty inside (the Captiva had sand in the trunk area and the Tahoe had soda or something splashed all over the dash making it sticky) and they smelled bad inside. I was able to grab an air freshener and a cleaning wipe, so it was okay. I would rent from Enterprise again and I would use the Gadsden, AL location again. read more

My wife broke her hip while camping and was transferred to Gadsden Regional Medical Center late on Friday night and I needed a car to go back and forth from our motor home that I had to park 5 miles from the hospital. Saturday morning the Enterprise team got me set up with a car, picked me up at the RV park, got me on the way and took me back to my RV on Tuesday when I was ready to turn in the car and head for home in Florida. Professional and courteous, friendly care at the time I needed it!! Great job, guys!! read more
