We had a great time at the pools and enjoying all the great views. We stayed here bc only 15-20 mins to Noccalula Falls were we spent 1/2 the day hiking under the falls and wading in the river there. Our tiny house was pretty cool. Kids loved the loft area and we loved the covered deck too. My only complaint w/ the house was the a/c (even after following their instructions) still was either crazy hot or crazy freezing. The toilet seat also needs to be replaced with an appropriate size seat and it's 2021...get a soft close seat just as a nice extra touch. That was it though and we would definitely return again so recommend for all families but remember 2 day minimum. Have fun!!!

I was surprised the whole time bc it was not something I would think to care about except for taking my kids to when they little many years ago. However it was actually so enjoyable and neat to be at. It is filled with so many people clearly for a reason. I'd recommend anyone go to it even if they think it's not their type of thing. It is very cool for sure. Also, the last thing we did was hop on that little train( which I didn't care to do at all without little kids with me) yet it was a shocker how that man driving the train who shares about all things throughout the event that you get to see again from a different view on that train...he was super awesome. I actually would have ridden that train and listened to that man over and over and over again. He was fun to hear from. It is not super expensive so do not resist to do it. Gather up your group or just you and your spouse or for take your kids if they are still young. This is for sure a fun enjoyable thing to go see.

The campground, you couldn't ask for more... amazing views, close enough to Pell City or Talladega, convenient, comfortable and just far enough out to make it quiet!! In my humble opinion you will not find a better place to park your rig, whether a weekend, season or a "lifetime"

We did enjoy tubing, but we bought our own from Walmart for much cheaper and since we were staying here, it was free and we just signed a waver. Beware of snakes though, there's a lot of them! We got floats with netted bottoms to keep them from trying to take a ride with us. Fishing was far more enjoyable. We caught catfish, alligator gar, sheepshead, little bass, and more. Use small tackle and don't expect a fish fry!

The lady that runs the place is VERY hateful, they told us about the military discount being 10% off and then changed it to 8% without telling us, nothing is handicapped accessible, the ONLY bath house is next to the office/fun room that when they play karaoke they play XXX rated songs about sex and eating pu@@y, the restrooms were never cleaned and we were there for 4 days, our neighbor had his grey water drainage running down the hill INTO the river, quiet time was supposed to be from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am but every single night there were fireworks until midnight AT the campsites ( even though managers were contacted), the tent campers only had a port-o-John to use without any hand washing station, they kept saying that the shuttle ran on tips only but the drivers REQUIRED you to tip EACH time they shuttles you back to camp, and you have to sign a waiver that says no alcohol on the property but I couldn't count how many drunks were hooping and hollering every single night! My daughter also made a post about them and BIG WILLs CREEK CAMPGROUND deleted it and reported her to Facebook.

The sites are Large, the Staff, including the Owners David and Stephanie, are the sweetest people, they bake Fresh Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies everyday, stop by the office, say hello and grab a cookie. Rebekka the staff Entertainment director will have you very busy every weekend with fun things to do. There is a General Store on site with nice products, pretty good prices, and and good pizza. Did I mention the park is peaceful and quiet? Let me tell you, quiet time is 10pm to 7am everyday, the gate is locked at night so you are secure knowing that you and your family are safe. There is Laundry available, and Nice very Clean bathroom/showers at the Pool. New Laundry, bath/showers and a new pool are coming soon. 20 minutes to Rainbow City and Gadsden for all your shopping needs. When we pulled up at the dock at our scheduled return time, a young worker was already filling boats with gas cans (not a pump). He started filling ours, but ran out of gas midway. That immediately raised concerns, since there's no way to know how much was in the can before he started. My husband went into the store and was told the worker would have to go buy more gas, and it would be 30+ minutes before he came back. This was frustrating because they knew our boat was due back at 6 PM, yet chose to use up gas on other boats first instead of being prepared for us. We were told we'd be sent a receipt for the fuel, but we never got one--just a $100 charge. At $5 a gallon and a 24-gallon tank, the numbers don't add up, especially since the gauge showed between half and a quarter tank left when we returned it. Based on the math, I don't believe we actually used the amount of gas they charged us for, likely an extra $20-$30. The day on the water itself was great, but the lack of transparency with the gas, no receipt, and questionable accuracy in what we were charged left a sour note at the end. It's never a good feeling to feel like you have been ripped off. If you rent here, just be aware of how they handle fueling and charges.
