Their service is great! No doubt about that! Just avoid the color changing Toyota from Maine lol. It will get you in trouble and not the kind of trouble when you wake up between 2 hot girls and a unicorn in a nice 5 star hotel . Clearly, I have enough time on my hands now to write the review, so I will say one more thing. Had the funniest argument with the manager about the vehicle's color Police claimed it was BLACK I said it was BLUE Him and the registration said it was GRAY The guy from the bus stop said it was GREEN felt like the dress online all over again Now, when I'll figure out how to post a damn picture here, you will need to decide if you are team Eduard, team Jacob, Tim Allen or the A Team! Followed by food fight to the death! And may the odds be forever in your favor!

So...no discount. Garage guys were polite, funny, and nice enough to point out some quirks to the car I would definitely have missed. Drive was fine till we got on the highway back after the snowstorm. They had forgotten to check for washer fluid so I was blinded by salt on the highway which was insanely dangerous until I was able to get off and buy some. Woman at the desk when I got back was extremely apologetic about that, as were the maintenance guys. She also explained that the problem with the StateFarm discount was that their team members cant add it if its not on the original reservation. So shes a 5 star employee for politely dealing with a customer who's unhappy at two other people's mistakes. My other gripe with Hertz is not unique to this office. Platepass is just terrible. Instead of ezpass they give you platepass which bills you the mail-in (i.e highest) rate weeks later and charge a "convenience" fee (they seriously call it that) of $6 each time they invoice you, which they do multiple times for long trips. So you end up paying an extra fee for the convenience of being billed weeks later at a higher rate. Seriously Hertz this isn't making you look good. Just get EZpass. They get a 2 instead of a 1 star because of the super polite garage guys and one standout employee but will not be renting from them again. Passed an Avis and an Enterprise to get to 83rd

Don't take my reservation if you won't have any cars available. Has happened multiple times.read more

I'll include my experience below but for those not interested in reading the details, please just know that you business should be taken elsewhere. Full disclosure: I do not receive any commission from recommending the following company. I am only doing it to hopefully dissuade others from using the garbage Prestige Car Rental Company. I highly recommend AAMCAR as an alternative. Address: 315 W 96th St, New York, NY 10025, Phone: (212) 222-8500. My full review and letter which I wrote directly to Prestige. Please note that a manager never returned any of my phone calls or attempted to discuss this experience. I was completely ignored and no contact was ever made. Dear Prestige Car Rental Management, I am writing regarding a recent experience I had at Prestige Car Rental; I have been a customer multiple times now and I am writing to hopefully give an opportunity to right this wrong regarding my most recent rental experience. I made an online reservation on June 20th for a compact car on June 29th. I immediately called the office after placing the reservation that same day to inquire if I needed to put down a deposit in order to confirm the reservation.  I was told by a young man in the office that I did not need to supply a deposit and that the reservation was good. I received a confirmation e-mail on June 27th, two days before, to confirm the reservation.  Then, the night before on June 28th at 4:30pm I received an e-mail saying the reservation had been cancelled.  I called off the office and spoke to Cindy that same night who told me that I should have put down a deposit and that all the vehicles had been booked; there were no other cars except for a cargo van.  Having no other option, I was forced to rent a work cargo van for the day which ended up being more expensive than the compact car I originally reserved.  Further, I had to drive to CT with my 7 month pregnant wife to our own baby shower -- my wife and I were incredibly uncomfortable the entire way.  When I arrived in the morning to pick up the vehicle, I noted that there was a customer in front of me who picked up the compact car that I initially had a reservation to rent. I believe it was unacceptable that my reservation was cancelled with less than 16 hours notice the night before I was to pick it up just to hand off the same reservation to a customer who likely had a longer trip booked. Furthermore, I see on the Prestige website that customers incur a $100 charge if they no-show for a reservation.  It seems very unfair to me that customers are expected to pay this fee for a no-show; however Prestige Car Rental is seemingly under no obligation to offer the same courtesy when they behave the same way.  I believe that I should be entitled this same $100 credit for my next booking with Prestige. If a deposit is required to secure a rental then it should be asked for up-front; I would have been very happy to pay this and, in truth, it would have saved my wife and I a huge inconvenience if it had been asked for up front.

I rented a car June 4th and they have hold it $1,000 out of my husband's account. We have called many times and they haven't returned its June 18th Now! And nothing has changed. This absurd, they mention it would only take 5 days for the hold but clearly this been going for 14 days!!! We will never rent a car from them anymore!

The people who work there have always been good-humored and friendly to me, but when one of them told me, "Please complain to customer service, we're overworked and understaffed and our equipment doesn't work,," I felt like I had to write this. Where to begin? The printer that doesn't work. The receipts that don't show up until two or three weeks later because the computers were down. The lines of people waiting when there's no one staffing the booth and there's a "Back in 15" sign taped in the window. But what's worse are the phantom charges--three of which I've had to dispute during my last three rentals, all of which have required numerous mind-numbing calls with customer service where each conversation is the first conversation and I have to tell the whole story again. Late charges for cars that were delivered on time but were checked in late because the place was understaffed and the computers weren't working. All the time wasted waiting on hold. Hundreds of dollars worth of extra charges that weren't on the pre-paid estimate. Most recently, a charge for a full tank of gas when the car was rented out when it was empty and it said so on the receipt. As I write this, I am still waiting to be reimbursed for that charge despite having sent photos and despite having been reassured that reimbursement was forthcoming. Again, I'm sorry to be writing this. The rental facility is so conveniently located. But I'm tired of checking every receipt and finding expensive errors, tired of having to take photos of receipts and agreements so I'll have evidence when I inevitably have to dispute a charge, tired of feeling like a sucker whenever I rent here. I keep wondering if someone is running a scam out of this place, but I can't imagine who would benefit and I'm tired of wondering about that too.I have to rent a car in the next couple of weeks, and I will be taking my business elsewhere. Update: This was finally resolved and the refund was given. But it took too long and was far too aggravating. Which is why I'm updating this review from the lobby of Hertz.

Before the pandemic this Avis frequently did not have the cars/accessories available on bookings. They once sent us to the location on W76 without confirming a car seat was available and we ultimately had to drive to East 40's to pick one up, on a Friday afternoon. Today they didn't have anything but pick up trucks even though I booked a medium sized. Never again.
